Through the heartache, we can learn to be careful who we trust to have around us. We can learn to be independent, and to love and look after ourselves, first and foremost.
I've learned to be more forgiving than what I ever thought I was capable of, and that we're all just people living a life that is a learning journey. Some learn how to "do unto others as they would have them do unto them" and that karma and dharma exist, and some don't.
In the end, all that matters is whether you/your conscience (and the Divine, if you believe) know that you are doing your best in your life; trying to improve on your healing, forgiveness and understanding, and moving on, improving your life.
If others don't learn good lessons in their lifetimes, then that is their choice and their fate to deal with on their own. It helps you to let your anger and pain go. Dwelling on it only brings it into your thoughts/life every day, prolonging your pain.
People have the choice to live in the darkness (maybe choosing to sell their souls for materialistic things), or they chose to do better, for themselves and others, and be kind and charitable.🤷
Once the hurt and pain is alleviated, over time, it becomes easier to think more philosophically about the malicious behavior that others have directed at you.
