Great video, great service. My favourite part had to be the engine spool during takeoff and the sunset and sunrise. I actually love flights that take you from sunset all the way to daybreak. Hope to experience such flights soon. Spectacular service by Thai there. Greetings from Ghana❤❤
I’ve always found Thai to be better than Cathay and Singapore, even in economy class. Haven’t flown with them since 2006. They still look very good. The food and service still looks great and after seeing this video I would fly them again today
An excellent trip report buddy. Good shots, especially in the details and the incredible roar of the engines at takeoff. Thanks for sharing. Waiting for more videos like this, congratulations. Have an excellent week.👍
Great video and great service. But also, the takeoff roar here was one of, if not the best one I've ever listened to in a video by Simply Aviation and maybe in general; so congratulations to (apart from Rolls-Royce 😂) Simon and his camera equipment for the beauty and quality of recording 🤩
Thai Airways catering never disappoints even on their Economy Class, always delicious! For me TG has one of the best catering services after Turkish Airlines.
I just had a direct comparison between Thai and Emirates, as I was (unfortunately rebooked from Thai to Emirates due to some technical problems) flying from Stockholm via Dubai to Melbourne on Emirates and from Melbourne to Stockholm via Bangkok on the way back in the last three weeks. The Emirates seat, service and food from Stockholm to Dubai was a 1/10 in business, on the A380 I would rate the seat as pretty good, the service, the food and the atmosphere was mediocre and I would give it a 3/10. On the way back from MEL to BKK the seat, the service and the food was excellent on Thai, only the entertainment system is lacking, I would rate it a 9/10, on the BKK to ARN same again, excellent crew, delicious food, 5 times wet towels, just the entertainment system is not on par, I would rate it a 9/10 again. I do fly 200.000 miles a year and would rate Thai due to the excellent crews and food as my current favourite airline. Qatar has a better seat and entertainment, BA also has a better seat and entertainment, JAL is on par seat and foodwise, just the crews are totally akward (and I speak Japanese), Singapore, the seat, food, entertainment and mostly the crews are lovely, Cathay is hit and miss, Lufthansa is mediocre and Finnair has a nice lounge and hard product, the crews are hit and miss.
Wow, it’s Simon again! Glad to see him back :) Will there be a brutally honest review of Garuda Indonesia? They are one of the forgotten five star airlines from SCAMtrax.
Finally Business class comrades! VERY GOOD VIDEO! IT'S GOOD TO SEE BUSINESS CLASS AGAIN! Btw I thought that Thai has BC lounge too... I know it's so expensive but I very like business class tripreports!😅😮😂
It’s nice to see a tripreport from Simon again! Thai business class is good, even though their A350s aren’t that new. Thanks to Simply Aviation and personally to Simon for this marvelous tripreport 😀👍✈️
I flew with Thai Airways (Business) from Sydney to London once. The plane's interior was quite of poor quality but apart from that the food, the lounge and the services were awesome.
I'm happy for you Simon. Coming to my country with a pleasant and wonderful flight. I'm truely approved how the flight in this video went so far and smooth! (i'll leave this for Simon)
@10:45 Can I suggest instead of pouring the whole bowl of red curry shrimps, one should take a spoonful of the red shrimp curry and pour it onto the rice. Mix them with rice and eat it one spoon at a time. That is eating “Thai Way”, “Kob Kun Krup”.
Nice presentation Simon 👍🏻. A suggestion … please show the menu because some of us don’t tolerate seafood at all and would like to see the other choices on offer. I always travel with ear plugs in my front pocket because I never know if there will be a child whose ear pressure makes them uncomfortable and open to letting everyone else know that they are 😩
Thai really took a hit during covid, glad they are trying to make a come back. But even before that I felt the business class was in need of an upgrade itself. The service is great but the plane and seats are sub par, compared to sone of the middle east airlines. I do have to say though that their economy class can be a great deal
@@Pakanin wow, that's a surprising omission on what looked like a pretty great trip otherwise. I don't get to travel as much as I'd like to, but I'd feel pretty confident that eyeshades would be one thing I *didn't* need to have taking up space in my bag on a business class trip lol
anyone who travels long haul a lot buys their own blindfold, special ones with an outward bulge so that it doesn't irritate your eyelashes and they let a lot less light in too, I don't use ear plugs, I use Samsung noise cancelling earphones that I put memory foam tips on to totally block any sound, I often don't plug them in to anything, just put them in my ears and hit the ANC button for silence
Great videos guys. I'm a big fan. In your experience, what do you think is the best way to search and book flights? Google flights? Skyscanner?. Other?. Thanks
My father is a big fan of TG Royal Silk Class to him it's this TG Royal Silk = BR Royal Laurel Class = KE Prestige Class = MH Business Class = CX Marco Polo Business Class > PR Mabuhay Class. Like this trip

Great flight, and yeah finally Simply Aviation Premium Cabin specialist is back after a long time.
I’ve always found Thai to be better than Cathay and Singapore, even in economy class. Haven’t flown with them since 2006. They still look very good. The food and service still looks great and after seeing this video I would fly them again today
Thai Airways service has gone down significantly post-COVID. Singapore Airlines and EVA air services still the best.
@@javed876 EVA lol
Thank you .
Better than CX and SQ? On how many respective flights is this opinion based on?
@@javed876 It was nowhere near SQ or BR pre-Covid either.
Great to see a new video from Simon, also, that food looked incredible!😸

Hi, are there 2 gangway? One for business class and the other for economy?
Awesome video guys, as always!
Thai Airways catering never disappoints even on their Economy Class, always delicious!

That’s objectively complete nonsense. Qatar and Singapore are miles ahead. Even Emirates is better.
Singapore, Air Nippon, are equally great too. Is there anything about Thai that takes them to the top of your list alongside Turkish?
@@antivEmirates and Thai have offered the best service for me

Great video but it was weird to see a Thai Smile serviette in Thai Airways Royal Silk Class.
Those seats aren’t that bad! I flew on them on two separate flights with Asiana airlines from LAX to ICN.
I‘m quite a bit jealous. 😅
Nice report
This is one of the few routes i’ve flown on in my life.
It was in 2016, so it was in a Boeing 777-300ER and not an Airbus A350-900.
I recommend taking video of Thai airways flight from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi - London Heathrow(TG916) and London Heathrow - Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (TG911).
Cool
Thank you 🙏🏽 🇹🇭💛💛💛✨
great meals serviced; find the amenity kit content a bit disappointing...
they all are no matter the airline
Was there really no eyeshades provided in the amenity kit?? Just earplugs, socks, a comb, and a dental kit??
Correct, I luckily had my own eyemask with me after years of travel you know what to have in the suitcase :)

10:49 PSA it tastes better to eat curry one spoonful at a time and not drench the rice with it. That way the rice stays at its good consistency.
