TRIP REPORT | First Time on THAI A350! | Stockholm to Bangkok | THAI AIRWAYS A350

- Thai Airways Trip Report flying from Stockholm to Bangkok in one of the Thai Airbus A350-900 on a lovely day and night all across Europe and Asia.
A comfortable 11+ hours flight from Stockholm to Bangkok on the amazing Thai A350. The flight was fully booked, but we still managed to have a nice trip thanks to the comfortable Thai Airways seats and acceptable legroom.
We took off from Stockholm towards the Northeast. Shortly after being airborne, we made a 90° turn to the right and started our route to Bangkok. Due to the Russian overfly ban and Ukraine airspace being completely closed, the route to Bangkok is significantly longer than what it used to be some years ago.
After a beautiful departure over the hundreds of Swedish Islands we set course to Poland. We entered it over Gdansk and crossed it until we reached the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia. We left the city of Košice on our right and, after a very short overflight of Hungary, we entered Romania, already in direct course to the Black Sea.
Over the Black Sea, we met the night and enjoyed a very nice Sunset. We then flew towards Türkiye, Iran, Pakistan, India, the Bay of Bengal, Myanmar and, finally, we reached Bangkok, where we landed just after the Sunrise.
Talking about the Thai Airways onboard service, I liked it quite a lot. It is definitely not at the level of Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad... but it's really good. The service included 2 primary services: dinner and breakfast. Both were very complete and everything was really tasty. I wish the service on European airlines would be like this one...

It's sad to see that SAS, the long time friend of THAI who once a joint venture and a big support to start Thai Airways International and also the first 5 airlines that founded the world's first airline alliance now leaving the alliance.
Anyway, I am glad to see that THAI is in a positive way to recover from all of their crisis, THAI hospitality and service on baord still seem like thier strenge.
Yeah... lets see how AF-KLM affects the onboard service of SAS. I flew a few months ago long-haul and it was pretty good...

Excelente vídeo como siempre… volé con Thai en el 99 en un boing 747 y fue una experiencia increíble..las azafatas llevaban el uniforme típico tailandés..la comida era muy buena..y el desayuno aún mejor con croissant calientes y te servían varios durante el desayuno…

@@OnBoardHD Today I tried to watch another report, this time Thai Airways 787 Bankok to Delhi but unfortunately changed the Channel after few minutes just because the music was on from the beginning and no Ambience sound. Really felt like watching a silent film. Many of these "reviewers" can't understand the importance of using the actual sound. No matter how good the music is, can never replace the sound of the engines. That's what it gives the feeling of being on board. Thank you for your wonderful vlogs. Looking forward to seeing more !

Those sunrise views during decend looks absolutely stunning!
All A350 had those cameras, but it's the company´s decision to make them available to the passengers or not.

Cabin crew girls are just amazing!
One of the things that I judge on an airplane is the noise of the engines at takeoff. This Thai engine are super nice. Is more muffled and yet strong than many others including Emirates. However, this is my uneducated opinion and personal taste for plane engine sound. Amazing cloud ceiling right after take off. You were very hungry 😄 that was a lot of food. OMG! I adore those storm clouds! Far from the plane, that is. Oh, yeah...Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga singing "Shallow"" Good choice, my friend 👍 Beautiful Sunrise! Always makes me feel closer to God. Thank you so much for another amazing flight!!

Its crazy how busy Amsterdam was in summer 2022. I was in the core of it all after landing from Atlanta at 10:30AM local time. Thankfully, we were able to get on our connecting flight on the lower level because it was regional but wow great video! I did not know Thai was that good!
Last summer KLM had to stop selling tickets for almost 1 week just to have empty seats to move stranded passengers. It was the biggest meltdown of an airport in Europe ever. Madness.
Luckily this summer was completely nornal already 💪

Another airline vlogger claimed that Thai airways grounded their A350 fleet, due to the pandemic. So I was startled to see your review and only 4 months old. I flew to Thailand on an A350 with Qatar Airways......very nice to, other than the two hours stopover at Doha. Good review by the way.

14:40 the reason that bathroom doesn’t have Thai decorations is because this aircraft is secondhand from Hong Kong airlines. Thai airways only repainted the aircraft and put new fabric covers on the seats. If you fly any originally ordered Thai aircraft they are very colourful and well decorated

Verdaderamente bonito el vídeo, comenzando por esa preciosa puesta de sol y los paisajes de Suecia que bonitos , siguiendo con las imágenes de esas tormentas y para finalizar el espectacular amanecer. Lo que me ha llamado también la atención que ese A-350 no tenga Sky interior se me hace raro y por último el catering me ha parecido bastante bueno en comparación con las líneas Europeas. The flight was great! Partly Scandinavians coming to Bangkok feel to continue to go to neighbouring nations such as Singapore, Vietnam, China, Korea, or Japan. Thai Airways is lonely that SAS, the carrier that codeshares this flight, has decided to leave Star Alliance and move to SkyTeam.
I've read it... I guess it was the only way for SAS to survive. I will fly with them long haul in a few months... maybe there will be already some changes on the service by that moment... last time I flew with them on the A350 it was great 👌

Great video, i love the colors taking off Stockholm pointed with the winglet of the plane, but you dont mention about what countries else cross the route to Bangkok in Asia, like Iran Pakistan or maybe Georgia, i needed more info of those countries in your comments the route of the plane

Respecto a la pregunta de la terminal, creo que era innecesaria, ya que, como usted dijo, SAS se ha declarado en bancarrota, pero mirando el lado positivo, todos lo aerolineas que utilicen el aeropuerto de Estocolmo, podrán tener un acceso directo a la terminal y no necesitar una guagua (o autobús) para llegar a esta

Excelente el video !! como siempre, vole a Bangkok hace muchos años cuando Malaysia Airlines venia a Buenos Aires (Thai nunca lo hizo) y la atencion y servicio en las aerolineas asiaticas es muy bueno, el problema era que no habia GPS en los aviones 747-400 el viaje se hizo larguisimo , viendo por donde vas parece mas corto, hizo una escala en Ciudad del Cabo y Johannesburg (South Africa), perdon me exedi mucho en el comentario, saludos desde Argentina

If someone saying that they don't have the safety video on their new a350 HS-THO, HS-THP maybe when it september they haven't set the video i think after this flight they just installed it, also the ife system is new system which is only on there THO and THP but they already got it
