I started using Paula's Choice after I saw your in depth review of Paula's Choice products. And my skin is doing a lot better now! I started with PC BHA9 that really did the job of smoothing the stubborn bumps on my forehead that no other product could do successfully and now have bought many of their products. Thank you for all your great recommendations!

In my house it doesn't matter if I'm indoors or outdoors. I have huge bay windows so we have some serious amount of sun light coming through every day so its SPF for me all the time and the only time it comes off is when I actually am going to go bed not before that at all.

I really wish brands would stop putting fragrance in everything. But with the Klairs UV, fragrance is the last ingredient in the list so it's not very prominent at all. Either way, I wish it wasn't added.

I read somewhere that you shouldn't use vitamin c, retinol and any active acid during summer, like AHA because it has bad long term effects in skin. It also says that vitamin c doesn't make the sunscreen work better. What do you think?

I don't now enough about the consultation you had for complete context as to why they might have advised you to separate the survial 0 and L-AA, but I was told differently from my contact at Deciem who believes the same thing I do, which is they make a powerful antioxidant pairing. Formula- wise there is also nothing that conflicts or contraindications between S0 and L-AA! Hope that clears things up!

Would you say that the ceramide moisturizer has a good return policy in case it doesn’t work for me. I usually get occlusive bumps with some creams when I use them in top of my serum’s and I want to order it.
Hi Renee! Would you recommend wishtrend 15% for beginners? I havent tried any sort of vit c yet. I have sensitive, dry and dehydrated skin. Haven't had luck with water type creams (ie. neutrogena, purito deep sea water) though I like the texture, my skin feels rather dry afterwards. I've also used hada labo premium lotion and currently using cerave cream (in the tub). Cerave seems to help during the day but would like to find something that doesnt feel as thick since it's rather humid right now. Is there a cream or lotion (little to no scent) you would recommend for daytime and for night time use? In the past you have recommended pyunkang yul moisture cream and noticed on oh lolly, you recommend the intense repair cream, would these be good for night time use? and which would you recommend for paula's choice, the water electrolyte one you mentioned in this video or the omega moisturize that you have also mentioned in previous videos? Love watching all your videos! Looking forward to seeing your new sunscreen video and hoping to see other options of octinoxate free sunscreens (that dont have the ghastly sunscreen smell)!
I think the wishtrend 15% could be good for beginners because of the pH being on the higher end compared to alot of other vit C using ascorbic acid. If you find that still to be sensitizing, you might want to consider vitamin C serums that use derivatives. I know it sounds complicated but i have a video explaining what it is and recommendations. Re moisturizers, I love both PC ones for dry, dehydrated sensitive skin - if you want something more hydrating and refreshing, lighter, then the electrolyte one is great, if you want something that's more creamy and moisturizing for drier skin, the the omega is great!

I loved your niod review and have only tried the mmhc so far. I didnt see a noticeable diffference on my face but found it smoothed out a rough spot on my neck(felt a bit like magic). I might have to give the neck catalyst a try. Would you recommend the cais over the cail? I started using iunik beta glucan serum that feels like its actually helping to moisturize some dry spots on my cheeks (nothing else Ive tried in terms of lotions or creams has worked to get rid of the flaky spots).

for some reason, this happens with some people, where AA turns darker when applied on the skin. That doesn't happen with me, and I'm not sure what causes it, if it is reacting to sebum or something. Does it stay dark after you apply moisturizer and sunscreen?
Gothamista it’s literally like I’ve self tanned my face! My hands and neck r lighter then my face. I was once told applying an oil straight afterwards helps with the stopping the “tanning” side effect, but my skin doesn’t like straight up oil. I’ve only ever used DE C-Firma, so maybe it’s specific to that formula...but I love how healthy and glowing that serum makes me! My skin is clear enough so I don’t need foundation, but I feel like I do now just to match my neck...or start bring the serum down my neck 🤔
@@gothamista yup! It’s like I have self tan on! I stopped using vitamin C and my face has lost most of that “tanned” look. But it’s still darker then the rest of my body. Even though I apply and reapply spf like it’s nobody’s business.

Essences prepare your skin for everything you’re going to put on, so any actives should go after. Essence first! 😊

Can you try brands like MCaffiene , Mamaearth , Dr.Sheths , and Himalaya . They have good ingredients and worth a try definitely:)

Hi Renee! Would you recommend wishtrend 15% for beginners? I havent tried any sort of vit c yet. I have sensitive, dry and dehydrated skin. Haven't had luck with water type creams (ie. neutrogena, purito deep sea water) though I like the texture, my skin feels rather dry afterwards. I've also used hada labo premium lotion and currently using cerave cream (in the tub). Cerave seems to help during the day but would like to find something that doesnt feel as thick since it's rather humid right now. Is there a cream or lotion (little to no scent) you would recommend for daytime and for night time use? In the past you have recommended pyunkang yul moisture cream and noticed on oh lolly, you recommend the intense repair cream, would these be good for night time use? and which would you recommend for paula's choice, the water electrolyte one you mentioned in this video or the omega moisturize that you have also mentioned in previous videos? Love watching all your videos! Looking forward to seeing your new sunscreen video and hoping to see other options of octinoxate free sunscreens (that dont have the ghastly sunscreen smell)!
I think the wishtrend 15% could be good for beginners because of the pH being on the higher end compared to alot of other vit C using ascorbic acid. If you find that still to be sensitizing, you might want to consider vitamin C serums that use derivatives. I know it sounds complicated but i have a video explaining what it is and recommendations.
Re moisturizers, I love both PC ones for dry, dehydrated sensitive skin - if you want something more hydrating and refreshing, lighter, then the electrolyte one is great, if you want something that's more creamy and moisturizing for drier skin, the the omega is great!

I loved your niod review and have only tried the mmhc so far. I didnt see a noticeable diffference on my face but found it smoothed out a rough spot on my neck(felt a bit like magic). I might have to give the neck catalyst a try. Would you recommend the cais over the cail? I started using iunik beta glucan serum that feels like its actually helping to moisturize some dry spots on my cheeks (nothing else Ive tried in terms of lotions or creams has worked to get rid of the flaky spots).

for some reason, this happens with some people, where AA turns darker when applied on the skin. That doesn't happen with me, and I'm not sure what causes it, if it is reacting to sebum or something. Does it stay dark after you apply moisturizer and sunscreen?
Gothamista it’s literally like I’ve self tanned my face! My hands and neck r lighter then my face. I was once told applying an oil straight afterwards helps with the stopping the “tanning” side effect, but my skin doesn’t like straight up oil. I’ve only ever used DE C-Firma, so maybe it’s specific to that formula...but I love how healthy and glowing that serum makes me! My skin is clear enough so I don’t need foundation, but I feel like I do now just to match my neck...or start bring the serum down my neck 🤔
@@gothamista yup! It’s like I have self tan on! I stopped using vitamin C and my face has lost most of that “tanned” look. But it’s still darker then the rest of my body. Even though I apply and reapply spf like it’s nobody’s business.

I’m losing my mind - my skin is quite oily but until lockdown it has been really clear and radiant. Now i’m getting spots on my cheeks and chin which is affecting my confidence so so much 😭😭 I just can’t stop breaking out!

Cerave Salicylic Cleanser
Rose water (to get face damp)
Hylauronic acid (The Ordinary)
Niacinamide (The Ordinary)
Eye cream
The Ordinary moisturiser
SPF 50

The Klairs blue one seems to have a lot of negative reviews, saying it's drying and leaves a white cast with it being physical.

I just use a moisturizing sunscreen over my vitamin C... I’m quite oily and I figure I can skip a step.
