When you loosen or tighten the gas pipes, you should apply a counterhold to the solenoid using the hexagon on each side. That will avoid the tightening torque being transmitted to the solenoid body.
I have the same issue: how to remove the center piece of each burner. I have a hard time finding the tool that fits in the notches of the tube. Thermador model PRDS366. Any ideas on what tool to use?
That was my question. I see it did not get answered. I replaced the control board with a rebuilt one in 2014 on my this range I got in 2003 - I did not do this, I forget how but it was a bear. I am faced with this again in 2024 and was considering it. Not sure if I want to do all of this though. If I get a new stove I do not want to go duel fuel so I think I will need an electrician as well to address the need for a 120V
I have same range. When I light front left burner the digital clock resets. Any advice out there? Stove and oven work mint otherwise. I put it in in December of 2000 and it began a few years after that.
May i know the model number please! my 4-led display very dim but it works perfectly even now 12-12-2021 i think its very old n IDK what year....2000 year? Please help!
I have the same stove. But don't know model number. Please can you tell me that thermador model number and parts number please. I have same as it is. Please.
Same issues here. Model seems to be www.manualslib.com/manual/170130/Thermador-Rdds30v.html#manual and part seems to be www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Gas-Valve-Assembly/00411253/1013831
My thermador had the model number and serial number behind the bottom plate. I had to remove the bottom plate cover screws to get to it. See if yours is there, or call thermador for instructions on your particular model
I have a similar model, but it's stainless steel.rdss30. I replace the control panel in twenty fourteen. I think it's dying again, but I think this time i'm probably gonna just get myself a new range. If I recall, I contacted somebody in florida and they rebuilt the board or sent me a replacement board. I was very grateful because thermodor couldn't have cared less and just told me I needed to get a new oven, and at that point it was about 11 years old. I still love how it looks, and it looks brand new, it's really a shame.l but it had a long run. Everything looks so chunky today.Trying to have that pro look and some kitchens that's not the right look.

For those DIYers struggling with removing the venturi tube. There is a helpful comment by twinoaks on this Thermador range repair video. ua-cam.com/video/0rJOxLu7GQw/v-deo.html
Just bypass that stupid solenoid valve and bend your pipe directly to your orifice fitting. Then you never have to fiddle with your stove again it will always let gas flow and your valve still works perfectly. This part is worthless and only exists to make more money for thermador. Be smarter and just bypass that stupid solenoid.
This is NOT a repair for Homeowners. This demonstration has been staged. Repairs do not go this smoothly. This is a Gas stove and electricity. This video does not show the proper safety procedures. you did not shut off the Gas or power.Accurate Appliance Electronics.
Wow. Ty! We have a 14 yo Thermador range and I’ve just been igniting the back burner manually.

Thank you very much
where can you buy parts for thermador yr 2002 looking at amazon and ebay but nothing.
What is the part number for the solenoid?
What is that ratchet attachment to remove the center piece of the burner?

Would I need to use the same technique (removing the whole cooktop) to access / remove / replace the control board?

This is a setup demonstration. They DO not come apart easily. Usually the burner orifice holder breaks and rotates which in turn breaks the gas line.
This is not a set up. This is the stove in my kitchen and it stopped working so I figured I'd make a video of how to fix it
Do you know the model of this unit?

the knob on the front of the stove is NOT a valve! it's a Potentiometer! Get some sleep!
No stove is this clean unless it is new. This is NOT a project for homeowners.
It is the stove I cook on every day in my kitchen. And it's almost 20 years old. Maybe you just are a pig and don't ever clean your appliances.
