    When you loosen or tighten the gas pipes, you should apply a counterhold to the solenoid using the hexagon on each side. That will avoid the tightening torque being transmitted to the solenoid body.

    This is a setup demonstration. They DO not come apart easily. Usually the burner orifice holder breaks and rotates which in turn breaks the gas line.

    • @dorothy135
      @dorothy135 2 дні тому

      That was my question. I see it did not get answered. I replaced the control board with a rebuilt one in 2014 on my this range I got in 2003 - I did not do this, I forget how but it was a bear. I am faced with this again in 2024 and was considering it. Not sure if I want to do all of this though. If I get a new stove I do not want to go duel fuel so I think I will need an electrician as well to address the need for a 120V

      My thermador had the model number and serial number behind the bottom plate. I had to remove the bottom plate cover screws to get to it. See if yours is there, or call thermador for instructions on your particular model

      I have a similar model, but it's stainless steel.rdss30. I replace the control panel in twenty fourteen. I think it's dying again, but I think this time i'm probably gonna just get myself a new range. If I recall, I contacted somebody in florida and they rebuilt the board or sent me a replacement board. I was very grateful because thermodor couldn't have cared less and just told me I needed to get a new oven, and at that point it was about 11 years old. I still love how it looks, and it looks brand new, it's really a shame.l but it had a long run. Everything looks so chunky today.Trying to have that pro look and some kitchens that's not the right look.

    Just bypass that stupid solenoid valve and bend your pipe directly to your orifice fitting. Then you never have to fiddle with your stove again it will always let gas flow and your valve still works perfectly. This part is worthless and only exists to make more money for thermador. Be smarter and just bypass that stupid solenoid.
