- In this video we'll be taking a look at the new Area Denial Frame Grenade Launcher, Lost Signal. This weapon was just released with The Final Shape expansion and has drawn many comparisons to the Exotic Grenade Launcher, Witherhoard, due to the similarities of each weapon's functions and utility. So we'll see how Lost Signal preforms. Enjoy! 🍻
Bungie has lost their minds they have mad so many unique guns in literally swapping weapons every mission and having long debates on what to use
Right!? I really wasn't expecting the shear variety of weapons that Bungie dropped on us with Final Shape, but that's something that you'll never catch me complaining about!! 😂🍻
It's kind of stupid how much time I spent farming shiny Brave weapons and I used one for about an hour of the campaign and have since been using nothing but newly introduced weapons lol.

For sure, they've really been cooking up some good stuff, these aren't even exotics and they have such cool effects.

I’m kinda mixed about it this is one of my favorite weapons so I’m still getting used to the recoil myself but I’m curious how it feels in the hands of someone who doesn’t uses it all that often
They knocked this dlc out of the park with all the unique stuff that they added mixed with a really cool subclass. I just hope they keep it up with seasonal content
Final Shape really has been fantastic in that respect! The Episode content did look interesting in the mini dev stream that Bungie released today! Hopefully they can keep the magic flowing! 😁🍻
People are flocking to the call as a 1st slot special, but this gl has only left my hands when i need a champion weapon

The Call = Major/Champs. This = Literally everything else.
Ignition Code was my favorite GL for literal years in this game and was the GL that I used when the first iteration of Breech and Clear was around. It was the first time I ever got the Conqueror seal, too. Seeing its weapon model used in such a powerful and unique weapon is such a delight. Loving this thing so far.
Lost Signal may be the standout weapon for TFS. I need one more for a craftable version and to me, the best roll is Auto Loading and Reverberation.
I do think that this thing is very good! I haven't had a chance to try it with Reverberation yet. I'm assuming by you recommendation though that it's a worthwhile perk on Lost Signal? 😂🍻
@IronworkerGaming Yes. Reverberation increase the Spread of each of the projectile pools.
Reverberation is the worst option there. OFA is *FAR* better. Reverberation's increase is minimal and you will never see it make a difference while OFA's 35% damage increase will always make a difference
@jetstreamlynn3156 Remember it's Witherhoard lite. It's not meant for damage but to deny Access. Kills with it are good, but adds can move out of that pool. Increasing It's size especially with the crafted version gives you more utility in building into It's identity.
@@therkokid215 The size increase is minimal compared to a 35% damage increase. In most cases any add move faster than walking pace will move out of that pool before they're dead. The pools work by applying a DoT as opposed to doing direct damage, meaning it's far better to have a damage increase than a pool size increase. On top of that, Reverberance only works after an initial kill while OFA just works on any damage.
Also witherhoard is for kills, what? It's thrown at spawn points to kill adds before they can get anywhere and 35% more damage is going to do that better than a minimal size increase. If they buff reverberance to be around 50% size increase then maybe, but until then OFA is far better.
Pairs EXTREMELY well with the new No Hesitation support autorifle, since weapon damage from any source feeds the healing shots from No Hesitation, you can pop out a volley of this really quick and fill the meter super fast.
That does sound very nice! I've played around a little bit with No Hesitation, but not for any extended period of time. I'll definitely try out running the two together! 👍👍
@@IronworkerGaming if you do i really recommend crafting it. The remedy i think the perk is called? Anyways when its enhanced it gives restoration x2 to yourself and your allies!

@@goose886 Circle of Life also gives a 10 second 25% damage buff plus the support frame gives a 10% buff for I think 6-7 seconds on rapid healing.
Meaning with 4 healing rounds hit on allies you get I believe around 37.5% of a damage buff for 60-7 seconds then a 25% for the remaining 3-4 as well as x2 Restoration. This buff can be refreshed by re-healing too.
It might as well be an exotic lol.

I have an auto loading holster and Reverberation that was my very first engram drop i tried at the helm. Its the single best toy Ive received so far int he Final shape. Its become a permanent PVE add AND boss clearing weapon. It can do so much damage. Like wither-hoard, you can hit the boss directly and then hit the ground at his feet and get double stacks. You can also clear an entire room with one spread. Its shiny.
Im really looking forward to being able to craft this.
Now, i wanted to let you know, as a fellow 2 tailed fox fan. On prismatic, the facet of command says if you supress or freeze a target it reloads all your equiped weapons plus other effects. Normally perks like this have some sort of CD... but this doesnt. So two tailed fox can auto reload indefinitely. Ive fired 6 rockets in a row with it and it feels fantastic.
And if you combine it with the new titan exotic failsafe made for us hazardous propulsion, and you have an auto reloading rocket launcher that just has some insane dps. Plus i think the ignitions are increased as well if two tailed caused it.
But yeah wanted to let you know this since you love two tailed fox as well, and you should try it out on prismatic with this new exotic. Super fun and super strong

Love this gun. Got it early into the legend campaign from a quick stop at the helm. Paired it with buried bloodline and it works perfect together. Despite both using special ammo, they burn through it so slowly you always have ammo in one or the other. This gl wipes out any crowds or ads rushing you. And buried bloodline takes care of flying enemies and stronger enemies. Its great.
I'll have to give that pairing a shot! I was have been thinking that it wouldn't be to hard to pull off a double special loadout with Lost Signal, and Buried Bloodline sounds like a great candidate to run along side of it! 👍👍
I honestly like this better than Witherhoard. There are more perk options and you can spray it around instead of having a glob of Taken yogurt bounce off a wall. For my preferred roll I have Strategist and Wellspring for that extra spicy ability regeneration. Fun fact: on the Cauldron PvP map you can spray the doors and opponents will take damage trying to walk through them as they open up.
I do agree that this does feel like the more versatile weapon. Don't get me wrong, Witherhoard is still great, but being able to equip this thing with a different exotic does it for me! Great tip on jamming up the "open" door on Cauldron as well! 😂👍
this weapon can also synergize well with this seasons artifact. if you're on warlock and use a stasis turret, the explosions are even bigger because of slowing and freezing targets before shooting a volley. I'd say its overall utility may be better than witherhoard just because of being able to create a stasis wall with the 5 mini shots it does. damage over time with a bait and switch heavy will do well in boss dips too. I think its a strong GL for this season, especially if you get auto loading to help with bait and switch boss dips.
As a stasis warlock main with witherhoard glued to my kinetic slot I’m very very happy with this thing existing, like I genuinely feel like bungie made it for me

I love this GL. I played most of the campaign with one for all and stats for all. Very good weapon.

This weapon kind of too me off guard too. As someone who doesn't gravitate to grenade launchers, I didn't think much of it initially because at a glance, I thought it was just another GL! 😅🍻
I had one drop with Lead from gold + Vorpal from pass and used it through the entirety of legend campaign
While the damage is stasis, vex pools seem to count as Light damage (Might actually be Arc) meaning that once it spawns a vex pool, it can rack up the prismatic light meter really quickly
Where it lacked was the damage for it's small pools if you ever make a line or spread them around, that's where One for All kicks in
That 35% damage bonus is insane on it, only majors can walk through a pool without dying
I've enhanced a Lead from Gold + One for All and I paired it with combination blow winter's shroud hunter build
Everything is slowed or frozen which means the pools will also cause the enemies to release slowing bursts which just keeps chaining, effectively granting you Chain Reaction
This thing is never leaving my kinetic slot.

I never really considered the damage source of the Radiolaria Pools, and I would assume that you are right on them being Arc damage. It's really cool that the weapon can potentially fill both Transcendence meters!
I am so glad this is a thing. I use elementary primary. And frankly, i didnt had anything i liked in my kinetic slot. I was using mountaintop....this will be great to use!
I've kind of been in the same boat. Ever since the 3.0 Subclasses released, I've generally looked to energy weapons with elemental synergy to use as my primary. That left the door wide open for Lost Signal to fill the first slot! 😁👍
I had one drop with Lead from Gold and Reverbaration, and I haven't taken it off. Works great in my Prismatic build.

I ended up saying screw it and got the expansion. I've been enjoying it a great deal so far, and honestly they definitely seem to have added a lot more unique weapons and content than in previous ones. I still stuck to my Monte Carlo through the campaign, and I'm still hoping on a video on it eventually, though I know new content is going to take priority. In that vein, I'd love if you took a solid look at Still Hunt, as it's been pretty fun to mess around with.
I'm really happy to hear that you picked it up, and even happier in knowing that you're not regretting your decision to go ahead with the purchase! The Final Shape certainly did add a lot of things to freshen the game up. I haven't played around with Still Hunt much, but it does seem to be an incredibly powerful weapon...and I'm slightly concerned that Bungie may knock it down a peg, but then again, I thought the same thing about Dragon's Breath when it first released! 😅🍻
@@IronworkerGaming Yea, lol. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up getting nerfed a bit after a while, since it is pretty quick to charge it up.
I guess I'll have to look at this weapon again. I got one in the 1st/2nd day of the expansion's release, and was immediately disappointed by its performance against enemies in the legend campaign.
The guns have never been cooler and more unique than they ever been in D2, I am loving it.

I actually prefer the feeding frenzy roll over autoloading: it was good on witherhoard for the slow reload, but lost signal has a snappier reload animation without feeding frenzy, where you almost don’t mind reloading it compared to witherhoard. Just me though there, I can see where auto loading can be good as well, just out of both demolitionist rolls I found feeding frenzy better, for ad clear anyway.

Only time will tell I suppose! I think my favorite thing about this GL is the fact that it doesn't feel like I'm using a GL! 😅🍻
Compared to wh in dmg you have to remember you can wh the floor and direct hit the enemy so you have 2 shots hitting them at the same time
I really like the approach you have, to look at what is not often talked about but still quite interesting. Unfortunately I like direct damage more than the DoT, so Snipers, Pocket Rockets and Moutnaintop are my choices. I can see the value though
That's very understandable! There are certainly weapons and weapon types that I don't personally resonate with as well, but that's one of the things that I've always loved about Destiny. It feels like there's a gun out there for everyone if they're willing to find it! 😁🍻
They will probably wait a bit to give us really good perks for the archetype but some of the elemental exclusive perks could go crazy for ad clear depending on how they interact
It would have been great to see some more subclass synergistic perks on here, but I think you're right about Bungie kind of treating Lost Signal as the test subject for the new archetype. They probably have an eye on how it's preforming and then will make a call on how much they can push it in the future. 👍👍
witherhoard does best damage with one shot on target and 1 pool on targets feet. I have been using it since it came out. this info is confirmed by bungie.
Bungie is going crazy with the new weapons! Most of these just need an extra perk and would be an exotic! Makes me really curious about what will come next for legend and exotic weapons

I fucking LOVE THIS GUN. I run a Winterbite stasis build on my Warlock (just hit 10,000 kills on my Winterbite, I love stasis lol) and this thing has been so perfect in the build.
I'm so impressed with Bungie and the new types of weapons they're putting out there. I love the good vibes Final Shape has brought, let's get back to having fun.
I'm really happy to hear that you been enjoying this one as well! The sheer amount of "new" that the Final Shape brought with it has rejuvenated the game for me! I missed the feeling of being truly excited to play Destiny, and this expansion has brought me back to that point! 😁🍻
Just having a legendary option with similar gameplay to Witherhoard is nice for buildcraft variety, as I'm often quite stumped what to have in the kinetic slot if I'm using Sunshot or whatever.
Absolutely! This does open some doors to make interesting loadouts. I always love seeing weapons introduced that have the ability to freshen up the overall gameplay experience! 👍🍻
@@IronworkerGaming - I'm hoping to get the pattern for this GL unlocked this reset so I can swap out Witherhoard on a support/utility themed Warlock build I'm enjoying, and use a different exotic.
I got an auto loading one for all drop day 1, and it has not left my kinetic slot. It's amazing.

Sure, it doesn't hit as hard as witherhoard, but the spread ABSOLUTELY shits on it, carpet bombing an entire area getting your darkness meter to 100% in a single shot is amazing.
No doubt about that! This weapon has been on of the highlights of the expansion for me thus far! I always appreciate new archetypes being added, especially when they end up preforming this well! 👍👍

160k kills here and this gl is amazing so you can pare with other exotics and still get that witherhorde feel
The increased blast size from Reverberation is almost nothing on this weapon. Sounds great on paper, but does basically nothing.

BRO I WAS SLEEPING ON THIS GRENADE launcher. I thought it was trash but never used it so I kept deleting it but then I used it with some random rolls. holy mother of dear jesus can’t imagine the enhanced version of this

My only issue with this thing is the main issue i have with most special gls they just feel like they dont do much damage, i feel like i might prefer a wave frame over this for ads but am unsure time will tell
That is understandable. Wave Frames are quite strong with some solid perks, but if you just don't like the overall premise of the weapon, no point in forcing the issue! Use what you enjoy! 👍👍

Auto loading with one for all. Got it, haven’t tried it because I’m having trouble putting down my the call rocket sidearm with slice and vorpal! Also loving red death, omg best pulse ever imo, with such poor stats its shockingly the most stable pulse but very slow handling

We got Witherhorde at home
It’s a great gun and all but.. it doesn’t serve the purpose I need out of my special weapon. Which is blowing up a big target or to make up for the range my other weapons lack.
What makes witherhoard great… is its versatility. Solid damage, area denial, decent for dps.
Makes sense to me! I was actually thinking about running this in a double special loadout. It does seem quite ammo in terms of clearing adds (even though I was spraying it around like a mad man in the video), so it feels like a weapon that might be able to pull it. Of course, I gotta try it out before I go making bold claims! 😂🍻
How did you calculate those damage numbers btw? like, what power level were your weapons?
The legacy Dungeons like Grasp of Avarice are power capped at 1945 now, so anything higher than that should be on level scaling, but I did have both weapons tested infused up to 1960 just out of caution. 👍🏻👍🏻

So I'm curious, it seems it does but I can't tell. Does this GL attach to the enemy the same way WH does when they get hit directly?
I played around with that a bit and it didn't seem to improve the frequency of the damage ticks for me, but I'll try it out again sometime. 👍👍

Not even god himself could pry my mountaintop with recombination auto loading holster out of my hands unless it's for champions...champs suck this season, especially seords for overload. Got any tips?
With the Ergo Sum being in the game now, I don't think having Overload Swords is as bad of a deal. It is an exotic, but at least it lives in the energy slot and keeps your heavy options open. Plus it can score some pretty interesting combinations. 👍👍

How do velocity and blast radius work on these frames?
I don't have any hard testing to back it up, but I'd have to figure that they do factor into projectile speed, and the size of the damage field to a certain extent. I would doubt that they have hold any tangible weight in the weapons overall damage though just due to the nature of the frame. 👍👍
It's better then wither hoard this stacks with anarchy and it does DAMAGE
So I got one of these last night. Having a tough time replacing my sniper with kinetic tremors. The sniper is a good pair for red death... or what ever the new seasonal gun is called. Sorry, still waking up. 😂

High Ground does sound like it has the potential to be pretty solid going forward. Situational, but 25% is a nice passive buff when you can make use of it! 👍👍

Does it cause slow and shatter?
Unfortunately, it does not. It deals Stasis damage, but there are no perks that grant access to any of the Stasis Subclass Verbs. 👍👍

It is a really solid roll imo! I definitely gonna give it a go with some of the damage perks, but I'm very happy with what I have currently! 😁👍
