Say, I thought mudskippers needed wet sand to build their houses, plus a moist environment? I know they like to dig and build which so awesome to watch. Maybe these are different, I don't know. But it does definitely look awesome. Aces to your Deuces, sorry I won't be in the drawing for a tank. But hey it is what it is. Love your channel Rob, keep the vids coming. And thanks to Joey for doing the camera work and hooking you up with the mudskippers/tank/plants ect. Off to Joey's Channel (Feisty, Skipper & Skippy) Joey named them in the shop and I think those names are primo.

You guys did a fantastic job of scaping this. Rob - your best bet is to add mollies or guppies. Any type of livebearer, they’re very territorial. Also, you’re going to need a lid, those guys are climbers! Names - Huey, Dewey and Louie.

Aw lovely lil skippers 😊 so cute. We caught one at a lake in Cali before when nightfishing for catfish. So much better looking in clean water when visibility is 100%. Nice job guys.

If you're doing a slightly colder water tank you really can't beat some fancy goldfish ❤😂 they're great for "room temp" tanks 😊 keep up the great content Rob and thanks for sharing your hobby!!!!!

I love Cory's can you add them to this tank? A small school? I had 5 that shimmered they look so cool they always swam around like dolphins with a kind if up and down flow going over and under everything and they stayed in a row. It was so cute!

Hi Rob, this is fascinating, saw a species on the river Gambia, assume probably were not the same species but they were wonderful creatures. This is a really cool development.
Since you called them the Three Amigos, you should name them Steve, Martin, and Chevy. Looks great!!!

I remember first seeing Mudskippers on TV programmes long ago when I was a boy. They were shown living in Mangrove swamps, along with Fiddler Crabs where the tide went in and out each day. I thought they needed brackish water but the plants you have are freshwater ones. I guess this type must be ok in fresh water.

i may be wrong but i recall seeing video's of Mud skippers in nature in mangrove swamps, but that is brackish water, maybe check that out as there are a few species like Mollies and sword tails that can live in brackish water as long as they get used to the salt content.

Nice aquarium, but I think mudskippers prefer lower water levels and a bigger land area consisting of mud/sand for them to dig in to similar to their natural habitat, with a 1-2% salt in the water.
That is beautiful. Very natural looking. I love mudskippers, a combo between a frog and a fish. Is that a specialty super glue just for aquariums? Thanks in advance.
Any cyanoacrylate glue, the gel is usually best 😉

It would be cool to have some crabs in there and some shrimp even if they eat a couple of them. Mud Skipperd really are some awesome animals. They have some personality to them. One has to be named Skippy lol

Add Mollies to the stocking.
Mudskippers require brackish water. Without salt, the animals suffer and will eventually perish or at least languish.
I have even seen Mudskippers in Indonesia that live directly by the sea and not in brackish water.
Salt is vital for survival.
If you add salt, Mollies (especially Black Mollies) are the most suitable.
They also live partially in brackish water in nature, sometimes even directly along the coast in saltwater.
Mudskippers are definitely not freshwater fish.
They can survive for a while, but it's not appropriate for their natural habitat, and they won't live very long either
Lovely tank set up. Isn’t superglue toxic to fish (especially if in the water)? If real, The plants will attach themselves over time. Look forward to seeing the updates 🤗
