    Hey 2wheels Ireland I watched this video after I got my full bike licence back in 10/2016 and even after getting a bmw f650 it always suck in my head. Anyway 2 years later I have taken the plunge and got a an400 k7 and I love it. Thanks for the honest and well made video. Tom.

    I'm an Irish American and already love the bike because you have given a great review in a real world situation.
    I have just purchased one in Palm Springs California.

      Hello, I think the 400 is more versatile. It's nice to have some extra power when you need it and should you want to do some touring you have the option with the 400. Saying that it is a very heavy bike but you only feel it when moving it around etc. If you have a garage or somewhere with lots of space it's fine. If you have to do a few turns in a tight space to get it in and out it can be a bit of a struggle. Hope that helps, stay safe 👍

    I'm thinking of getting one to commute on - do you think it's a bit heavy or a bit big for say a shortish commute? I'm torn between a bigger scooter and a 250 cc one. Thanks

    Everybody should realize if they don't already, motorcycles are designed with two brakes one is to stop you fully and completely quickly which is usually the front the other, your rear brake, is it designed to stop you slowly.

    Did you sell the VFR or is this a 'second bike'? Another good review, you should upload more. You do some great video's !!

      Paul Lee
      Cheers Paul, Yeh I sold the Vfr a good while ago.I tend to go through a good few bikes, I like to experience all different kinds.Ive a BMW now and a vintage monkey bike I did some work on. I will do a vid on that as soon as the weather gets decent here in Ireland.

      Oh, I see...thought you had a 'keeper' in the VFR as you had wanted one for so long. She was gorgeous and in the right colour as well!! Funny as the only two bikes I wanted since the 80's /90's were a VFR750 and a BMW !!! We must share the same taste! Has the Burgman gone as well then? Bit 'left wing' that one mate! Ha ha!! What BM did you get? GS? GSA? I'm off to see a VFR750 on Friday...looks a lot like your 'old one'. You should do a video of the BMW.... your views and Subs would go through the roof!! Although you don't seem to worry about that sort of thing....wish I'd known you were selling the VFR...would have been an 'excuse' to come 'over the water'. TC&RSM8

      Paul Lee I loved the VFR,my only slight neg was the low handlebars.I found it a bit hard on the wrists if you were only driving around town.I pulled a muscle in my back a few months after I got her and I was struggling a bit,that's how I ended up with the burger.People slag the burgmans off but that thing was super comfy and had decent poke.I picked up a 07 GS650 BMW,very comfy and a nice ride.I just wanted something to tip around on and I got her for good money.I must stick a few vids up when I get a chance.Good luck with the VFR pal,hope it's a good one!.Much better value in UK for bikes than over here.Safe riding and stick a vid up if ya get her.

    Looking at buying a 2006 Burgy 400. I'm six foot four. Any thoughts?

    • @eirebiker4275
      @eirebiker4275  5 років тому

      I'm 6ft 1 and didn't have an issue, you might be slightly more cramped than I was but I don't think you'd be uncomfortable. I suppose if you can take it for a spin and see what you think. It's a very solid all rounder, good for a short commute but you could also tour on it.

    How is it to travel say 500 miles?

    • @eirebiker4275
      @eirebiker4275  2 роки тому +1

      The furthered I travelled in a day was around 200 miles I guess. The seat is so bike you can move around and you can also stretch your legs out if you start to cramp. I don’t think you would find many better 400cc bikes for a long journey.
