@@Aragorn7884 Yikes! Thanks for catching that
I'm surprised Ant Man didn't call the Black Panther T'Challa so the reporters could break the news to him that he died and there is a new black panther.
"Can you do anything about the giant robot?"
"Uh...The what? Probably not?"
"How about the PTSD an entire town is going through after being mind raped by a former Avenger?"
"Oh. Uh. That's more Dr. Strange's territory. He'll probably lecture her on the misuse of magic or something."
"What about the rumor that Thor is conscripting children to fight his battles for him!?"
"What!? That's!... wow...ummm...We really fell to shit after Tony died, didn't we. it's almost like we lost all oversight and planning, given over to random whims and chaotic egos... Don't worry! I and my family will sort this out, just like we did in the Microverse! My daughter's such a diplomat, she convinced a crazy person who hated me and my mentor to switch sides in a remarkably short time!""
"Really? That's impressive. What did she do!?"
"She told him to not be a dick!"
...
"does...does anyone have a gun? i don't want to live in this world anymore."
Yo, this dialogue is way too good for a comment section. Lobrow Studios get this man a job
Yo, Lowbrow, lowquality , dig?
That Celestial Tiamut the Communicator should have been followed up by the Avengers by now. This Phase 5 MCU Press Conference is asking the real questions.
Reporter, “Can you do something about the giant frozen robot?”
Kang the Conqueror, “Yes, I can…but I won’t.”
*"yes, I Kang, but I won't" (Yes, Kang is just Chang from Community in my mind now, and you have to live with that image too)
I’m sure that Shuri and Namor are probably doing something about it now.
Ha! someone from Wakanda helping someone that isn’t them. Ahhhhhh. That’s funny.
@@Nickle_King I’m gonna assume that you’re just being a dick.
The whole time i was watching BP2 i never thought about the fact that even Namor wasnt so concerned with the Celestial sticking out of the ocean
Yeah, pretty odd considering that's his domain and everything...
What giant robot ;)
Pretending that The Eternals never happened is the best course of action at this point
Hey I liked it
Yeah it never happened a giant red robot abducted people but everybody was just really high and the frozen robot we were all high
Pretending nothing, I don’t know who the eternals are, didn’t know that they had a movie, haven’t watched a marvel movie since endgame, and no one talks about them so I haven’t even heard of any marvel movies since endgame either.
Seems like so far Marvel's already doing this, since for now it doesn't seem like they'll be continuing the Eternals' storyline anytime soon. Especially since their film was a critical and commercial mixed-bag.
Idk I feel like shrinking it will only leave a giant hole in the oceans core. Might be better if we all just left it there at this point
Probably. It did come outta the earth maybe it would've left a giant hole like u said
Exactly. Would drain the oceans right to an empty core of the planet. Remember, Earth is supposed to just be the robot's egg
I thought the same thing! Shrinking it will only cause more problems, just leave it be!
Yeah, it could become reef or something, given enough time
Meanwhile, Thor is just chilling out on a beach somewhere
With his child soldiers.
With an Adopted Daughter.
@@Nickle_King tbf that’s his culture
As a Cinefix fan, I reflexively expected Ant-Man to start talking about Andrei Tarkovsky's The Mirror.
Glaring plot points all around. Love it 😂.
Yeah, maybe that's why they shouldn't have giant massive avengers level threats in movies that aren't the avengers because if that movie ever flops and marvel wants to forget it ever happened, it starts to really bog down the universe.
Even after everything that was said and promised the giant planet killing frozen robot is still threatening the earth. Kang’s response is priceless.
The MCU has become such a pothole mess
At this point it don't even matter what year takes place a movie or series because it's a mess to put in the timeline
Always has been yall just didnt care
@@bizarroplasticman298 Never this bad...things felt like they were going somewhere, people did complain why heroeew were not called in some situations but the answer usually was how fast the events of a movie happened...
Honestly Ironman 3 was the biggest pothole movie before and it didn't hurt the whole universe as bad as anything in this phase
That's the issue of trying to continue on when you have already defeated a universe threatening villian. It's hard to top that
Still, it doesnt loop so bad when compared to the justice league movies
Let's just pretend Eternals was a Marvel's What if? story and say it happened in an alternate dimension from the main MCU Earth.
I mean, that's how we handled that godawful Inhumans series.
Didn’t HISHE literally show Ant-Man throwing shrinking discs at the giant frozen robot?
Haven't seen it in canon. Is it really still in the ocean? In the comics, an old Celestial was left on Earth, and after it was freed, it simply stood and observed humanity. It became a tourist attraction.
I mean, they live in a world that after 5 years of adapting to the loss of 50% of the Earth's population, where now they needed less food, less housing, less jobs, and then suddenly the disappeared population came back out of nowhere, and somehow there wasn't instant world hunger nor an economic disaster, pretty sure a giant frozen robot in the sea is trivial.
Giant Frozen Robot? Are they talking about the Celestial? I think that’s what it’s called. I haven’t seen any Marvel movies in a while.
Yup, and it's not even frozen. It's dead. Turned to stone. Completely altered its molecular makeup to make it a giant rock.
@Zack I'm guessing they inaccurately said frozen instead of petrified. Also guessing that since the movie audience knows that the Celestial fully emerging would have completely destroyed the Earth, we are just expected to take it as a win and forget about possible collateral damage.
@@ZackRToler in wich movie or serie was this robot? Where is he on the earth?
@@bakuryukenji3802 The Eternals
Yes and it’s not a robot it’s a space god that was supposed to terraform earth in order to be born but the eternals stopped it and it’s rumored that it’s made out of adamantium and in captain America 4 other countries are gonna try to claim it
When the reporters said that she doesn´t do a thing about the robot Antman should have asked "Moment she but T´Chala is a guy" and then he should got as response "T´Chala is dead since 2 years or so".
What about those five new villains Spider-Man fought who are still at large? No one has seen em since that Statue of Liberty fight!
Okay, I'm just spit balling here... what if... he shrunk the giant robot corpse? Maybe not all at once, too much water displacement too fast, but a gradual shrink sounds like the most helpful thing to do. That, or mine the shit out of it like the aliens did with Knowhere. It is a robot God. Maybe you'll find some neat mechanical bits?
Man after all this time I completely forgot about the dead Celestial (which isn't even a robot it's an actual alien god) is still sitting in the ocean and no one has done or said anything about it.
Just goes to show that the Eternals movie really didn't leave a lasting impression on myself or audiences as a whole.
You can tell this was written like, RIGHT before Majors got busted for hitting his girlfriend.
Was that really 2 and a half years ago? Geeze time flys when you don’t give a crap about Eternals.
But give Scott a break, he was in the Quantum realm fighting a guy he was well outclassed by. Seriously, Kaang merits ALL the avengers and certainly not Ant-Man, Wasp, and his suddenly a genius super hero daughter.
Edit: Namor is in the MCU now? When did that happen?
Wakanda Forever
@@aeon87 so there was something important to watch in that new Black panther movie that has no Black panther....gotcha
Nonono. You see. COMIC Kaang requires all the Avengers. MCU Kaang can be kill with a gun.
And Yes. Namor is in the MCU. He came in during Wakanda Forever. Except he's Aztec instead of Greek and his goals and motivations change scene to scene. Also Iron Heart is in that movie too. You know. Everyone's favorite "I have no problems and there is nothing I can't do. Teacher. Tell me something I can't do." "Uh. Ok. You'll never be iron man""I AM NOW IRON MAN I MAGICALLY MADE A SUIT WOOSH!!!" character.
@@m-w-y7325 well yeah given that there IS a Black Panther in it dude
@@someguy79 no there isn’t. There’s someone wearing a Black Panther suit. They haven’t earned the title. They don’t have the blessing. They are as much Black Panther as a cosplayer with an insanely high budget.
At the very best, the reason its never brought up is how chaotic and jumbled filming and making all these movies got due to the covid-19 pandemic. But who knows. I wouldn't be surprised if they try and wash their hands of Eternals. it wans't the best mcu movie but I liked it. Took me a bit to get into it though as someone that read the original Eternals comics lol
They can't use the pandemic as an excuse. Its abudantly clear that had no coherent long-term plan after Endgame, but couldn't stop milking the franchise for all its worth.
@@faded9581 No, I'm certain they have a plan. The problem is that said plan is very jumbled and hard to follow with so much content coming, as well so many standalone works going around with no clear connective tissue at the moment.
@@manuelalbertoromero9528 so the plan is their have no plan
@@om58499 OK. I'm not implying that necessarily. The thing is, they released a lot of shows and films these last few years. So much so that it may have stretched their quality control and their ability to map and adjust certain events depicted in the films and shows to make some coherent sense, within the realm of comics of course.
Probably the expansion after Endgame via Disney+ along with The Pandemic made planning and thinking out consequences and plot points a lot more difficult to have show up in other films and shows. Also maybe their writers are legitimately having a hard time thinking of factoring these world ending societal shifts and changes like the Blip, the Return after the Blip and the Celesstial Emergence without making them too depressing. Or they might not have studied this kind of thing or don't know how to properly look this stuff up and may need some help. Or maybe there's some higher up changes altering things and this was the best they could do under the circumstances.
This is about all I can think of as far as the behind the scenes things you've brought up via the fun poking fun of video you made. I still enjoyed it. You just gave me a lot to think about and throw out different answers based on various articles and commentary I've seen over this phase.
Well my cynical side would say that these weren't factors at all. The true cause is timidity and profit margin. Disney has invested in these properties, and they are afraid to make or delve too deeply into world sweeping changes to their status quo. Every hero killed is another action figure that can't be sold. Every acknowledgement of big things like the Blip or the Celestial open more doors for critique, shattering the suspension of disbelief, and making viewers lose interest in the IP, which will cost them money. So, they play it safe, maintain the status quo by repeating the same stories and themes ad nauseum, and ignore plot holes to stay on the safe side. I don't blame them for it as a matter of risk/reward, but it makes for an increasingly unsatisfying unified world.
I don't have a noncynical side. 😅
ok that too.
@@jonathonpolk3592 naw you are right
@@jonathonpolk3592 its probably just threat/ power escalation. With thanos having been such a big threat and with him raising the stakes so much,
the writers are probably worried that the new villains they are introducing wont be taken seriously and will just be written of as a let down if they went back down to past threat levels. So to prevent that they have to raise the threat and stakes of even the smaller movies, but this inevitably leads to our current problem where the villains of every movie are making impacts on the world and its status quo. As you can imagine it is impossible for the characters, with only get one movie in phase 4, to react to all the changes from other movies as they would never get around to telling their own stories.
To put it simply: the status quo is changing to fast and to frequently.
Take phase one as an example. Outside of Avengers (the big team up movie) none of the movies changed the status quo of the world. Meanwhile the blip and the return has barely been dealt with and all of the smaller movies are having their impacts on the world.
@Lone Wolf you may be right in some cases, but not most. Take the new Antman movie. Spoiler warning for those who haven't seen it. But if they really wanted to beef up their new villains and make them threatening, there's no way the B lister Ant Crew should have been able to kill Kang. The guy who they were setting up to replace Thanos. If they wanted to pitch him as a serious threat, he should have outmaneuvered or tricked them into setting him free, then killed one of them to make the audience hate him. But nope, they didn't want to lose out on that sweet merch revenue, so they used the standard mcu template and kept the status quo the same. And they keep doing that. No risk taking at all.
1:47 Gotta give antman credit. He was actually willing to do something about it. He just needed money.
Maybe the next phase of Avengers will use it as a base? I know they did that to one of the Celestials that had been dead for centuries at one point.
Or maybe this could be a potential plot point one of the other movies. Like maybe the CIA and other organizations are harvesting the material from it to make weapons of some kind? Since it's kind of just out there in the open. Unless they got some kind of blockade around it so that at least regular people and groups couldn't get to it. But black opps groups could along with the other larger governing bodies in some kind of under the table method.
...SUURE. In what planet do you live in? There is no plan rhyme or reason anymore!
X-39F
Right next door, they forgot to put it on the planet map. Jim was out that day. 😁
🤷figured I'd just take a guess. Probably not even close. But had a relatively good time doing it.
I am Nowhere in Guardians of the Galaxy Is the head of one so
I think the thought of Wasp being Qanon is genuinely terrifying, since she could easily go Yellow-Jacket (What If) mode to anyone speaking out against her beliefs.
That giant frozen celestial should be talk about in Secret Invasion because that's earth-based and unlike other films that are set in another universe or dimension or secluded region(Wakanda)!
*Executive* was _MISSPELLED_ on the Patreon part bruh 🤷🤦
All of my friends that are MCU fans hate when I bring up the plot hole of the Eternals movie lmfao
I mean Ant-Man can like shrink the head of celestial with the shrinking disk but then again it's like the not worth a risk on damaging the planet itself by leaving the open gap of the earth
I’m like Ant Man because I had no idea about the giant robot.
Reporter: Hey did you see a guy do kung on a moving bus fighting bad guys?
Antman: Uhh no
…. Um also, any discussion on Kang the Conqueror apparently being a domestic abuser???
Will he be deemed “Too problematic” for the Avengers to fight? 😂🤔👀
Recast, explain the new face as a result of an alternate timeline
@@commonviewer2488 Obviously. But it's still going to be disjointed and the controversy will hang over the entire phase.
Heroes always just got there own separate thing going on. Also I don’t thing anyone really cared about The Eternals.
Ant man sounds like a chill seth McFarlane
Honestly I found the fact that it didn't have an effect on the world to be weirder than no one mentioning it in other films (except Namor like cmon that seems obvious)
2 and a half years we had a joke about the celestial, this is peak comedy.
I mean, it actually came out a year and a half ago, but nobody remembers when things happened post-2020 anymore.
So this room seems to contain everyone who saw the Eternals.
😁
Hearing Mario's VA doing anything else is crazy. That spectrum :O
One problem with shrinking a giant frozen robot. It would immediately create a vacuum of space where water would immediately start. Rushing in to fill it creating a mega tsunami that will kill everyone living on the coast.
Wait, so how many years of bad writing and repetitive story arcs were people ok with? Was it decade 1 or decade 2 that really turned the audience against the MCU?
Can someone explain to me the robot from the Eternals? I didn't see the movie. Does the Eternals have any correlation to phase 5?
To that last question, not yet thus far.
@@manuelalbertoromero9528 Given how much the Celestials looked like Galactus, my guess is it will be a few years until the effects of the Fox buyout really start to come into play.
Remember how Ego claimed he was a celestial, yet alone in the universe? Yeah, it turns he was either lying or an idiot because the Celestials are still around, and one of them was already inside the Earth.
@@johnnygyro2295 Or Celestials are few in numbers.
Marvel is not up to much compared to Lowbrow these days.
I didn’t watch the Eternals and wow that’s what happened at the end? Really? Ok looks like I haven’t missed anything.
So there's that Celestial from the Eternals to worry about, more Kangs, and is there anything else I'm missing? What other problems is the MCU about to face?
Thor not doing shit
I legit thought when they mentioned Black Panther, I thought it would go like:
“Wait, he’s a woman now?”
“T’Challa has been dead for over a year now!”
“What?! Why didn’t anyone tell me?!”
“Yeah, there’s also rumours about a Multiverse existing so T’Challa and any other dead Avengers can possibly jump into our world”
“Hold on, there’s also a Multiverse now?!?”
Great as always
"But no one seems to know, or care, about them." Sick burn
To be fair it was so ignored and forgotten about it had the ability to warp reality around it meaning anything near it had simply 'not existed' to not affect anything else in the world.
It is why the MCU hasn't bothered with any other nation west of the frozen robot with their super power nations bidding super tech and saying 'Sure our old boss said we should help people, but we like being isolated jerks who do whatever we want in your nations as we steal your stuff!'
Seriously the MCU needs to step up their game.
I think slowing down and rethink how these plot points interact is probably the way to go though.
Fair enough.
"Kang, why should we GAF about you when you got beat by freaking Ant-Man?"
Makes sense for Kang to be out of the loop, the time loop that is XD
It IS a job for Ant-man but it's also why Ant-man is kept out of the loop, the guy's... well, that guy's boss... is too powerful. "What can X do if they're smaller than an atom? The same thing as everything else; Not much."
Adapted versions of the character break utterly whenever they're handed Pym's shrink gun that works on people. The MCU wisely started with Pym/Cross's shrink gun not working on people. Instead, it just killed them. "Then why didn't Cross sell that as a weapon?" Why...
"Hey guys, I invented this thing that you point at people, pull the trigger and then they die, leaving a greasy residue." "Yes, we literally have millions of our own. So what?" "This one costs a million dollar a POP." "A million per pop?" "POP."
I think HISHE made a good case of the goo guns being used for stealthy assassinations that leave no evidence.
Won’t shrinking the giant like create a hole that leads to the Earths core?
Lowbrow Studios.
Can't wait to see your parody video on the super Mario bros movie.
Ant-Man is all of us.
Scott: "Yeah, I don't know what you expect me to do about this. I'm not even getting paid. Villainous weirdos just have this habit of messing with me and my family."
That's the problem with make every movie and show more and more fantastical and upping the stakes to the point where the MCU feels detached from its grounded roots.
David sapp sent me. Good stuffb
I think it was sort of addressed on a blink or you miss it news report on She-Hulk.
no i agree why did non of this ever come up after eternals...
Damn, I'm behind on my MCU lore
I figured Kang would take questions that aren't about abuse.
Is Ant-man’s voice by the dude from IGN? Sounds very familiar
"When did X happen?"
"Uhh, during phase 4?"
"So in other words it happened when nobody was paying attention? Okay, next question"
He was talking *just* like Scott Lang would actually talk.
