Man I never watch female sport because the level used to be much lower. It’s awesome seeing the progress of how good females is getting. They’re killing it. I’m definitely going to be watching now
An admirable performance from the Polish lady. She displayed immense focus and discipline by not following the inappropriate route her opponent chose to take and remained calm and focused towards winning instead of getting even. A very rare sight and a very inspiring one indeed!
It is combat sports , the polish woman should next time prepare her hair because as a wrestler it will be difficult to avoid, grab whatever you can grab
I've competed for so many years, and watched lots of matches in tournaments with hundreds of participants, while it's not my turn, and I've never saw things like theese, it's disgusting...
When they continue to cheat they should just stop it there and make a point everyone KNOWS how sleazy they are. Biting...... What is worse these kinds of attitudes always blame others for their behavior. That's why it needs to be dealt with asap and eliminate these actions from the sport.
I don't know, in todays society of women wanting equality, she could have said she "took it like a man". Could have also said "she took like a champ" since every participant is a winner now. LoL

The hair that fell on the mat in the wrestling match between the Cuban and Polish girl seemed like it was from the Cuban girl. The color and look doesn't match the Polish girl's hair.
If that was my hair that was pulled out, I would've handed it to my opponent after the match. Unless there's some weird regulation in women's wrestling that hair and teeth must remain on the mat.
Damn those tough women though very unsportsmanlike but I guess that is part of wrestling also like fights are a part of hockey. the first knee bend was not dangerous at all. these are high level athletes that know how to protect themselves and their joints. Watch a single college wrestling tournament and you will see that is a very common position. The second one was bad though and could have lead to injury

She put it to the neck of the columbian and pressing her head/ mouth/ teeth /tongue closer to the arm. Strange thing to do if its very painful. Looks like a hickey with a little teeth.
I'll never understand why people would put all that work and effort into something they care about only to cheat and pull dirty tricks. Like, how can you ever expect to truly be the best you can when you undermine your own skill with crap like that? You can never look yourself in the mirror and say you did your best when you have to cheat and pull dirty tactics to win. Every sport I ever played in, including wrestling, I did so with respect to my opponents. I don't go out there trying to hurt them or injure them or do anything dirty because I don't want that to spoil my victory. I want my opponent at their best to test my hardwork and skills against theirs. I want to win because of my skill, hardwork, dedication and discipline, not because I bit them or shoved a finger up their bum.
I think that women as usual get away with more rule breaking than the guys in sports like this one. Calling it the Hidden side is just not right. It happens so often that only the real bad rule braking gets punished. I think the referees estimate of the girls can handle it or they intervene.

Since many years TV broadcasters stopped putting an underwater cam, which would show what happens under water, i'm not sure but i have feeling that the international federation of water polo is the one behind this decision, they don't want people to see what happens. Haha, this is not the hidden side of womans wrestling. This is the what all wrestling is. I have been involved in the sport as an athlete and coach for 30 years. I can say that if someone complains about a finger pull, then they are in the wrong sport, they will never be a successful wrestler.
In another sport, someone got a piece of their ear bit off and continued the fight. Props to the girl for continuing but they should have disqualified the opponent.
Simple rule, if you are going into sport you will have be ready for its consequences either it is men or women. This is all happening because your brain only focusing on to pinning down opponent. This is all happening in a flash. So rules are made already victim can challenge if she or he felt any cheating while wrestling. Sometime what you felt might be different opinion to the judges/umpire/referee because they can see the closely with the help of cameras.

In Freestyle wrestling officials are trained to look for danger to the neck, head and spine. They aren't as concerned with knee or shoulder injuries.
