I put a 256gb high speed card in place of the 32gb card. It works good.

You may have gottn bad batteries.Had mine(2 of them) over a month,roughly 30,30 second videos a day at max settings and still show full charge with the cheap batteries it comes with.I do agree with the trigger speed and detection range.Not as advertised but still good good enough.Most animals are not running by.More like trotting or walking so no big deal.But overall for the price,it does very well for a cheap camera.

I had to send first one back because menu button was stuck down. But how do you get to the settings? Turn the camera on, it counts down to ready then goes black. Menu button does nothing ????
I did receive a replacement - so that is why I am still struggling?
Hey Katharine! When you turn the camera on and click the menu button, the settings should pop up. You can cycle through them by clicking on the up and down arrow buttons on the right side of the LCD screen. Click the OK button underneath the up and down buttons to confirm your selection. Hope this helps!
That’s how it’s supposed to work, once it goes dark it’s armed and ready.

Ive personally used a Rexing and Hawkray Pro to film birds on feeders. They work pretty decent. the vikeri probably would work fine also.

My experience with Chinese cameras that only take 4 batteries is you can't expect good battery life from only 4 batteries.
