    I love the way you did that leaf! I have tried this technique just the other day. It didn't turn out as nice as yours. Not sure if it is the type of paper or my pens! I will be playing with them today! Thanks for your very informative videos!

    I smeared without watching any videos. The idea just came to me and now I see other people do it too.

    Oh Me Oh My gosh I haven't been able to find an inexpensive spatula to experiment with it in blending! Maybe I can talk my hubby into finding me one since I think that I prefer this method of blending rather than using my fingers.

    I wish you had a virtual class, something you do as a group, just like an art class only virtually where you login at a certain time to join the group

    Do you think a sculpting shaper would work for this technique? They come in sets that have flat, chisel and tapered heads. Thank you for teaching me al these neat tricks! I'm certainly ready now to do more than just dots and highlight with my gel pens.

    I went to The Dollar Tree and got that same silicone spatula.

    Hi Jennifer! LOVE this technique! I have two of those great silicone spatulas. Saw them at the dollar store and I thought why not? They're only a dollar after all, so I may as well buy two, right? In the video, what you did almost looked like water color by the time you finished, I thought. I can hardly wait to see the next video!

    I don't have any gel pens that work anymore but I was wondering if you could show what happens if you use your tool on the narrow edge, how much control can you get that way? By that I mean just like using the chisel edge to make several fine lines on something because I like that you can get such subtle color by smearing it.

    Would color pushers work well for this technique?

    • @jayteadesigns
      @jayteadesigns 7 років тому

      More commonly known as color shapers.

    • @ColoringBliss
      @ColoringBliss  7 років тому

      +jayteadesig, I'm not sure what color pushers are...I was looking at some very cool makeup applicators at Walmart yesterday that I was tempted to purchase and try. So many fun possibilities!

    • @jayteadesigns
      @jayteadesigns 7 років тому

      Actually, I meant color shapers, they are relatively new in the art world, are used a lot with poly clay and pastels, here's a link: dickblick.com/products/colour-shapers-tools. I have some of the small ones and have been meaning to try them out with the gel pens, but they seem like they might work. Thanks for the reply!

      +jayteadesigns, oh yes! I have seen those in my local Blick store. Let me know how they work.
