A big part of it is making your stories appealing. I’ve seen some top stories that are terrible and have bad characters and worse grammar, but it doesn’t matter because it caters to who uses Wattpad- thirsty teenagers. I’d recommend that you stay original though and write what you want. Include romance to draw in readers, sure, but make your stories unique.
Fr, I enjoy Sonic and most of them are just...decent or cursed and some can be really good but it’s kinda hard to find
I did write my own cause I just love anything Sonic related XD
Would a non-romantical/sexual story not be suited for wattpad at all?

Is my story concept original?

Finding other wattpaders on UA-cam is always fun.
I was quite shocked when my new story of 4 chapters or so got ranked high while the one I put emphasis on in creating with longer chapters didn't have a single rank. I felt jealous of myself and hope to improve with the tips to stop feeling jealous of myself 😂😂 thank you for the video!
it might be because people in wattpad are more accustomed to shorter chapters.
Ha! I have the opposite problem with commenting. It's natural for me and I comment way too much--which keeps me from reading as fast as I would want to. Ugh! So, have any tips on not commenting? 😂Loved the video!
I think if I gave tips for that the other authors out there might put out a hit for me 💀 LOL but you should know that you are every authors favorite type of reader!! :')

I recently did a Spider-verse fic that involves a heart transplant. It's already on AO3 and FFnet, but I'm also considering putting it on Wattpad just to see what happens. My only obstacle is making a compelling front cover, and I don't know if I have the time for that.

I am publishing my story daily hoping they’ll enjoy it it’s about romance but not now I think the love start at chapter8 or 9 or 10😅😅😅
The emergence of AI will make it difficult to discern the algorithm behind a search engine (Wattpad is a search engine for books).
Grammatical errors in the text may also be significant. Or... not.

Yes, definitely! I actually have a 5-part video series that I'm planning that will go over every part of my process for writing a story, so this will probably be in the 3rd video I do for that series, about plotting! :D

Many write books and they aren't that good so with that opinion ppl come and go without trying at least 4 chapters. They read books only with more than 100k views. It's gonna be hard if your book is lower than that but don't be discouraged. Enter into awards, genuine r4r or reviews. It's gonna take a year but if you're lucky and don't give up. Ppl will pick your book
