Update 2, I've made significant progress in just a day, thats mostly due to the last 2 episodes being filler though. I'd say im about 8% of the way there now

Quick update after 4 days Even though my story will be set in the far future away from the main story, taking notes about the series has helped me notice things I never did before and as i watch each episode the list I make is bigger and more descriptive than before, thank you so much. I have a long way to go though since I'm only about 5% through the series 😂

I agree with you that there shouldn't be too much OOC moments in a fanfic, I've found hp fanfictions that are too OOC kind. And as a reader I don't really like it , when peoole make a bad guy a good guy or opposite.

Like in wattpad I found a lot of stories with too much advanced writing, like they use complex and uncommon words that's a bit hard to get and compared to them my writing is quite simple. Does it affect the views of your stories if you write in simple words? Just a bit curious to know.

I am new to NOTION and trying to see how i might used it in the writing of my new book. I like what you have done. However, my question to you is…. Are you using Google Docs to house your main body per chapter of all of your writing for just one book and just using Notion as an outside guide to the main writing which is done in Good Docs… whey do you use goggle docs and not just use Word… ??????? HELP!!!

I really like how you talk about the reality behind what we do as writers. I also write on wattpad and in my blog. But, I'm from Brazil and here we have it worse ahahaha on all the country, people read like 1 to 3 books a year... Yeah, that's our market 😂

I don't enjoy read for reads. But they did get reads for my story up to 1000 from 0. Read for reads is why I went off Wattpad for a long time. Just don't enjoy it and I don't have time to read stories that are in my personal library. I just type in Read for Read in Wattpad search engine and leave my request there. I'm not doing read for reads right now, but I'll probably go back to them. I think its impossible to get a read unless you do read for reads Omg, I saw name of a profile I'd done read for reads for and follow for follow with.

I posted a story on Wattpad and for 3 to 4 days it went nowhere. I got no reads. Then I started doing read for reads. My story got up to 950 reads, but then I removed the story. I felt I need to work more on the story before posting it. I know some people don't like others advertising about themselves on their profiles. But I invite people to leave links to their stories on my Wattpad profile. I really don't care if they leave links to their story on my conversations section or on my story. I suggest reading Wattpad books before posting. Its a way to get to know the audience on Wattpad and what they want. I entered a contest on Wattpad and never heard back. I'm not saying its not a good idea. It is a good idea. I intend to enter more contests on Wattpad

Honestly, I really like these tips a lot. I've written fanfics (mostly kept them to myself or only shared with friends. But I have posted one online as well.) I am also a reader of fanfics. I agree with so many of the points in this video. Especially about the character personality. One thing that absolutely pulls me out of a Fanfic is if the character with an established personality is behaving in a way too far removed from normal. I think it's ok to change some things. However, when they do a complete 180 personality wise for a canon character, im out.

My most popular fic contradicts everything this video has said, but that's probably because I wrote it during the most convienient time: COVID. Everyone was on the internet, so it was easier to get reads. It was a sad Bakugo fanfic with less than 10 short chapters (uncompleted) and has shitty writing.
