You guys have been asking us for a Tour of a Good, Affordable Entry-Level Power Yacht option for a while. So we found this Awesome Boat in great condition right in our neighborhood in Marina Del Rey. Even though it's Only 35' it has a lot of great features, such as a Flybridge, a Cockpit, 2 Cabins, an Open floorplan with a good galley, a Great Diesel Engine Package and lots more:) She would make a great Starter Boat as a weekend boat, liveaboard, or Coastal Cruiser.
One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that if you are thinking of buying a Boat to Live on, the LOA does matter. For example, in MDR lots of Marinas require a boat to be a minimum of 35ft to be approved for an Official Liveaboard, so this little Power Yacht just hits that target mark. #PowerYacht #Bayliner
Let me know what you guys think of it in the comments

Me eating 2 packets of ramen noodle because I can't afford groceries this week: "interesting." XD
lol
Stop watching you tube and go and work. Due to workers shortage even taco bell is paying 14 per hour x 12 hrs x 7 days = 1170 dollars in just week, more than enough for month rent and groceries and still enough time to watch this lady’s cute ass video 😂 .
@@dowmd93 I make $15 an hour and work 50+ hours a week my guy. It was mostly a joke but I also like ramen because I'm cheap.
Bruh u can afford Ramen noodles
Bruhhh chill
I owned this same model/year Bayliner 34... bought it new back in 2002 for $175K with twin Mercruiser gas inboards. The Cummins diesels were a $17K upgrade and I think the thrusters were another 5K or 8K. I think this exact model sold for about $225K. I loaded mine up with 8 golf cart batteries and did not need a generator. I won the Seattle Boat Lighting Content during the Winter of 2004, competing against a dozen million dollar yachts with just those batteries. This particular boat looks awesome... very, very, light usage for so many years. I'd buy it again. Happy Boating!
NICE! thanks for sharing, what a fun story! 😁
The galley was very nice, and the separate shower on a boat that size surprised me. Other great features were the exterior staircase, the vac system, and the transom sliders. They managed to incorporate all the must haves in a boat that would be easy to maneuver anywhere and a joy to live on for a week, a month or a year. ❤️
Great tour, we had the 2004 Meridian version of this boat, it solidified our boating addiction. I highly recommend the model. Now with an Ocean Alexander, I miss the simplicity of our little 3488 Meridian. We had some great times on the water in that little boat. Small enough to offer the romance of being on the water and void of the complexity and reality of owning a larger vessel.
Please do more of these nice affordable presentations
will do!
@@NautiStyles I’m more in the canoe/raft range of the budget…..
@@CLINT-THE-GREAT yes. Very affordable! I’d like 3
Thank you both for doing this one. It's great to see the insane mega yachts, but as an elderly, former Alaska fisherman (only two years), and not into the social scene of retirement communities, it's nice to see what's out there in my price range.
You both are incredibly knowledgeable, and take your inspections seriously. Not just "Isn't this pretty", but the important things- Storage, engines (including access), electronics, generators, etc but also usability and comfort.
Great vids. Thank you, be safe, fair sailing.
Thank you sooo much
This is exactly the comment I was going to make! Thank you!
Ok, I know I’m suppose to be paying attention to the boat, but I must say Victoria’s hair cut in this video is absolutely fabulous. I miss my Chris Craft, and you guys have helped make it through my “no more boat” depression.
You guys are awesome! Really making me want to love on a boat! I'm learning so much from you guys! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for such a lovely and entertaining tour. I’ve only just found your channel and I love it 🥰
We all know the expression, 'you get what you pay for' but you found a great example of 'you get your monies worth, plus !' Lot of features for a smaller craft, a great, reliable, economic weekender or as you point out a live aboard for a single or a couple. You have really pushed all the buttons on this one, thanks again for your info and valued advice. Be safe
Yes! Thank you!
NnoiCe!! (VERY GOOD!)
Can a boat like this be taken on Salt water? Or is there a conversion like adding ballast?
I am way the hell out of my lane.
"if I may sir, I shall excuse my self to the 14' john boat with the 2hp briggs and straton pull start section. you have a splendid day"
😆
I was skeptical at first to want to spend 100k for a 20 yr old Bayliner but ended up saying not too shabby. I think with 2 engines and a 3.2 ft draft one can do the intracoastal and maybe even the Dismal Swamp, perhaps even the Great Loop. I was impressed. Thank you for the review and as always you guys are a pleasure to watch. Thanks again.
You two are a joy to watch. You always leave me with a smile. Great little starter liveaboard.
I’m amazed at the condition of this boat. It was very well maintained. Enjoy your videos, thanks!
Our pleasure!
This model Bayliner was sold as a Meridian 341starting in 2003. We've had one (with a generator) for the past six years. It was funny seeing you watch "our" boat.
NICE 😝🙌🏻 thanks for sharing
My parents have a 2006 Meridian 341 and when I first saw this boat i thought to myself "That looks pretty familiar!" Haha
I had a 37ft Meridian. Loved it.
It looks great! Depending on income level this could be a starter for some, but maybe a life goal in retirement for others. Saying “starter” multiple times isn’t great for welcoming a wider online audience. You describe the boat really well. Best to just do that and not get into who it appeals to. Let viewers decide for themselves.
You both did a superb job covering this yacht very thoroughly. As always a delightful visit!
So happy you did it for those of us who are into great sailing or motor-sailing with a limited wallet! I'd love to see some sailing boats, real blue-water sailing boats under 250,000. I've sailed a lot on Bayliner boats. This one is immaculate and has diesel engines! Thank you for thinking about us, limited-budget people!
More to come! promise!
How much it costs per year for maintenance parking ? and is it cheaper when you sailing like when you flying like with the jet plane ? Thank you
You guys are getting better and better, your format is really started to develop, The interaction between two different points of view is very refreshing and often quite entertaining. Great stuff
Thank you 🙏🏻
Much appreciated!
Yes, having her go bra less and the pokey nipples is a real development. They were more interesting than the boat.
Sex DOES sell.
I've watched six or seven of your episodes, and I'm addicted. Looking forward to becoming a liveaboard empty-nester someday. Thank you for helping me see clearly into a possible future, as I've been away from the boating lifestyle for several decades. I appreciate your comments on best practices and pros/cons of each boat, such as this particular boat's lack of a generator.
Welcome aboard
I love this boat. Not only perfect for a single person, but perfect size for empty nesters. Fun and affordable, and if I only could get the wife to say yes. She doesn’t share the dream, maybe I need a new wife with a stern thruster.
"naughty by nature" is the best expression for this boat

Great reviews. Love to have more similar reviews on starter boat. Thank you.
Thanks, will do!
Bought my brand new 1988 Catalina 30 in Marina Del Rey, loved heading to Avalon on Fridays, great times and that is one nice boat for 110K
Thank you for the info... I am looking at small yachts now. So this was interesting as I know nothing about living on the water, but will be doing exactly that in about a year
You two are really good at this! Keep up the great tours!
Thank you! Will do!
Too plain for me
Great review. Love the chemistry between you both and the honesty of the review. I also like how you related to your own boat for comparison. Love the pricing info.
💙💙🙏🏻🙏🏻
Love your videos! They are informative and well done. I like how you two are fun, funny, work together and give details without rambling on and on.
Merci beaucoup Victoria pour cette visite et votre bonne humeur ! 🇫🇷🌹♥️😘
Amazing how much they fit into that space. Very nice boat!
Really nice to see reviewers thinking about us :)
Yes we do always!
Thanks for this! I'm thinking about doing something like this after I sell my house and you guys are stellar when it comes to breaking this down. I've subscribed and am looking forward to seeing more before I take the plunge.
You two are wonderful together ! Great job and enjoyed the lower end of yachting purchasing. Thank you
This has a great layout for a 35 footer. Makes an amazing starter and yacht in a budget.
glad you liked it as well
You guys crack me up! Always a good time with you two! 🤩
😝🤣🙏🏻💙
I'm absolutely gobsmacked that this boat doesn't have a generator. A bow AND stern thruster but no gen? Insanity. I don't know how it made it over 20 years without someone adding one!
Very cool boat.
Your absolutely right but then again it’s a bayliner
This boat was rarely taken out. That is why the engines are not even broken in yet. My guess it sat empty and lonely and was just not used for whatever reason.
When either of them smile it feels so genuine, they Love what they do.😊 ( thank you for your dedication)
Thank you for showing little things like stairs and walking across the side of the boat.
I almost purchased this yacht in 2005. I had a 2000 2858 Command Bridge at that time and was going to upgrade but decided to keep my 2858 for another 6 years. This is a great boat for sure. I enjoyed your tour a lot. Kudos. Safe boating.
Thanks for sharing
For the money that boat is excellent. I think its a bargain. Very well kept. Excellent condition. I too would see about a generator as well. Makes those over night excursions less worry some. Nice presentation guys.
Thanks to your video tour - I went and BOUGHT ONE OF THESE BOATS!!!! The Bayliner 3488 is a rather rare model as they only made it for two years and I had never even seen one until I found your video. You caused me to start searching for this model and after 10 months I finally found one for sale in Sidney, British Columbia, Canada. Come visit us up here - we have the most beautiful cruising in the Pacific Northwest with Desolation Sound... not to mention the beautiful Southern Gulf Islands (Canada) and the San Juan Islands (Washington State). IF you ever come here to do some boating, let me know and I'd be happy to show you around :) Thanks, Dave
ooow how cool Dave, congratulations
Great review!! While I love your reviews of the large yachts.. these smaller boats are ones that I could in reality afford.. this is a great boat! We were looking at the bayliner 3288 which has a different layout.. this is a great layout as well!
Thanks for watching!
This was the first boat that my wife and myself had bought. Believe it or not the one we purchased used was even in better shape than that one. What I mean is the original owner bought some marine carpet and covered all the factory carpet with another carpet on top of it. He put snaps on the carpet and on the deck. Even the top carpet look like nobody had ever walked across it. The original carpet still had that new carpet smell. The only physical difference was that the one we had in a stern had a fold down seat. We did not even realize that until after buying the boat. We just assumed it was storage.
The dealer at the boat show told us a story about the original owner. He was telling us that everyone at the dealer knew the owners by name just for the fact of always stopping by to have upgraded parts put on and servicing it. We were given two thick binders full of all the work that he had done to about. When we ask why did they want to get rid of it That's when they told us that they wanted something bigger and something with a generator. They said that the owners started having health issues and really could not enjoy the boat without air conditioning. So after the boat show they set up a test drive and we fell in love with it immediately.
If you really get into boating a boat like this is a great start. It doesn't cost nowhere near what a brand new one would.
Just like the original owners we decided to go bigger and to make sure that any boat we purchased had to have a generator on it. The boat is fine if you're running from dock to dock but if you want to stay anchored up somewhere and it's a hundred degrees outside there's not much you're going to do to cool down.
I enjoyed this video.
Thanks for sharing! agreed on all accounts!
Love your tours
Yacht brokers sure could learn alot from ya. I live the way you tour a boat. Love the tours of more affordable size boats rather than mega yachts. Love you guys.
Thank you so much Jim, more affordable Liveaboard yachts to come
Nice design. The MFG utilized space very well for the size!👍
Great video review, makes a nice change from the large yachts that a lot of UA-cam viewers will never be able to afford, love the out takes at the end too
There are still some "UA-camrs" who love the bigger m/Y and S/Y as well. I just use UA-cam for great reviews and entertainment.
Thanks for watching!
Totally enjoyed this tour, we like the smaller yachts. My wife said this would be a great weekender boat when we retire to Florida in a few years. Thanks!
glad you liked it, and what a great plan
@@NautiStyles thanks guys, can’t wait to retire, semi for now.
Guys let me first say how much I enjoy your content, I really do.
You have shared your journeys with us all and we appreciate it.
Well what can I say about Bayliner boats??
I have had NOTHING BUT NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES WITH the line up unfortunately. At first glance, they appear quite useable and stylish. After owning one for awhile I had changed my opinions drastically.
At one point I was in need of a Tow from Tow USA AND THEY TIED OFF to the front of the bow. When they started forward the tie off clamp sheared off the boat. It took a 24” chunk of the bow right off the bow. On a second Bayliner I owned I was towing an 18’ x 18’ swimming barge out to the middle of our pond and the Transom broke off entirely, sinking this 30’ Bayliner to the bottom of the pond/lake to 60’
No folks , I would NEVER OWN A BAYLINER AGAIN. IVE BEEN TOLD THAT THEIR YACHT SIZE MODELS, 34’ -60’ are built to different standards but I’m not sure if that’s true.
If I were to own that boat, and if it were moored at a dock permanently and if I had several extra bilge pumps in working order, I would consider it as a live aboard but I WOULD NEVER TAKE A Bayliner out to sea!! Never!!
✌🏻🇺🇸✌🏻🇺🇸✌🏻❤️✌🏻❤️
This is one of your best videos, looks like you were both having fun. Plus it's a nice little boat.
Definitely a thumbs up for the video 👍
Thanks so much!
I will instinctually like every video you guys do. This was a good one because it was more within reach of the common man.
Great review on a boat that would make a great week ender or live aboard!!! I have lived aboard a 37ft Sloop but never really looked at a power boat and this was great insight!
powerboats give definitely way more living space for Marina Liveaboard Lifestyle
@@NautiStyles Most Marinas in Southern Cal do not permit "Live a Board" except for 10 days a month. Check Newport Beach and San Diego. I think it's the same thing in LA.
@@NautiStyles Same thing up here around Portland. So i expanded my thinking and realised that i could simply make sure to keep my boat in good operable condition and leave my berth in the late afternoon or early evening, motor (or sail) a mile or less up or down river, as that is my situation and put out my anchor outside of the main channel. No worries power wise as my boat had been charged up by shore power so i had enough inverter power to meet whatever needs i had for the evening and the next morning. Then whenever i pleased head back to my slip to replenish my battery bank and be in good standing to do it again the next night. Plus, i don't think many marinas are going to be so restrictive that they won't let you spend a night now and again on your boat in your slip. Think outside the box and problem solved!
Great walk around, thank you Victoria and Rico.
Very interested to know more about different boats and yacht you are very knowledgeable and great personality guy s it awesome how interesting your videos
Thank for showing something I can afford and you show it beautiful and expanding everything on board
Take care love you guys
You are so welcome!
That really is a great deal of stuff for a smaller boat. I really enjoyed this tour, more than usual. This is not just AWB.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is a great starter boat~! Well, this also might be the only boat I would ever own in this price point, but still aiming high. If I were to make any changes on this, it would be a jack-knife sofa with a removable table in the saloon area, to make for more sleeping. Also, the investment for a generator is also great. Overall a very good deal and congratulations to the new owner, read that it's already sold. Thank you for the tour Victoria and Rico~! :)
That’s a perfect craft for weekend excursions away from the dock. There is Plenty of room to do a modest generator install and lengthen the battery bank
Maybe even some solar too. Would be an absolute necessity bc With all that counter space, I’d expect the margarita machine to permanently Find its way on board !!
Awesome walk-a-round on the perfect starter motoryacht
agreed 😊
Thank You for this. We now own a 61 foot Yacht so we get these questions all the time. We started with a Bayliner and and I'll say a few words about that, but here's something for EVERYONE to remember....
No matter what size your boat is, we all cruise on the same water, we all visit the same Marinas and Destinations, and we all enjoy the fun and comaraderie that comes with "messing about with boats". The fun of it is in the learning, the adventure and the wonderful relationships you will develop out on the water. Any size boat will do!
For new boaters I would suggest two thing: 1) there are now some really good Boating clubs out there in the major markets. A good Club will offer quality vessels that are well maintained and professional instruction - all at a fraction of the cost of a boat purchase. 2) check with your local Yacht Clubs. Some Clubs have "Club Boats" that are available for use at no additional cost beyond your dues. And don't be put off by the old time stuffy "Yacht Club" image. The Private Club world is changing dramatically and they are very, VERY eager to attract young professionals and families. Clubs will now allow you to pay-out your initiation dues and for a couple-hundred-bucks-a-month you could enjoy all the benefits of being in a top flight Club (business relationships, children's activities, educational opportunities and Social events) PLUS you have access topurchase
Regarding Bayliner, our first boat was a Bayliner 4788 which is a very popular "Pilot House" boat in the Pacific Northwest. This is a 50 foot power boat, twin screw, three stateroom / two heads. This is a "value" boat that gives you a ton of space and utility for a very reasonable price. We used to call it "the Toyota Minivan of Boats". You can get a lot of folks in it, go anywhere you want to go while it's not too sexy - everyone is likely to have a good time. Bayliner is a good product in that they are not trying to be something they're not. It's a good boat at a fair price point and if they are well maintained they will give you good service and hold reasonable value.
Thank you again for this review. I'm sure your UA-cam viewers would occasionally enjoy seeing some other entry level cruising boats.
U guys are awesome u bring hilarious antics to a well done showing of some really nice boats that I guy like me to dream. That size boat would be the smallest I would take out on the oceans
This review was actually valuable . 99.99% of your super yachts are unattainable for most of the viewers . Thank you will consider this boat when I upgrade
this boat is simply perfect. Really enjoyed watching it. Thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That tshirt was a great throw back !!!
That boat looks brand new amazing how well kept it is
Nice boat for 19 years old.
Perfect starter!
Thanks you 2.
You're so cute!
Excellent entry yacht. For many boat owners, this would be an excellent step up in size. Thank you for an enjoyable tour!
You bet!
Until the Bayliner part comes into play to show the new owners what B O A T stands for.
Awesome tour of this nice mini yacht, love the shirt !
Thanks for watching!
A yacht is anything over 27.5 feet. Nothing mini about this yacht.
Just discovered live-aboard yachts and I can say with certainty, I am completely smitten. To have everything in one place such as that is just so appealing to me its crazy.
I found one yacht in my area which appeals like crazy, its a 1995 Value Superior 49, an absolutely gorgeous yacht and it has everything one could wish for.
Unfortunately, at my age (21), its way too far out of price range, really saddening.
But thanks to your videos... I wont give up hope :D
Because you are young you can apply the law of attraction and manifest your dream don’t give up , your are lucky to be so young and to know what you want …. You ll ge your boat … believe in it …
Having a yacht is more obtainable then I thought….pure motivation!!
This will sound crazy but, this is my favorite boat on the channel.
Great presentation! I look forward to the outtakes as much as the tour. :)
thank youuuu
You 2 are awesome. Fun to watch you and hubby having fun.
That's such a clean boat. That detailing job is impeccable
Beautiful...all the right stuff in all the right places😋Oh...the Bayliner is nice too.
Great tour Victoria, y'all do a great job 👏 together!
Thanks for watching
Is that specific 3488 for sale?
Great video, guys. Thanks. This boat is probably priced at $150k now with the new post covid demand for boats.
You guys do a phenomenal job showing these vessels.
It may not be as glamorous as the big yachts you show but this type of boat is certainly more affordable to a lot more people. Here's a fun one for you. This is probably the most casual outfit I have seen you wear Victoria...and possibly the cutest!
glad you found it interesting, thank you so much
You guys make a great team. I enjoy watching your videos.

Thank you guys. This video sold me and I went out and found one. W/genny dual ac and yes we love the central vac.
Great to hear!
This is my dream boat. Under 40', big kitchen, bow thrusters, dual diesels, fly bridge, dry head (shower seperate). Very very nice.
Victoria hair is incredibly AWESOME. Fantastic tour & Rico rules. Thanks guys loved it. 🚢 ⛵ 🌴
ooow thank youuu
Great T-shirt with logo! You definitely get the points across.
I see what you did there...😊
If you're 14, you'd better grow out of this shit quick. It's not that it's sexist so much as it is lame and unoriginal. You're gonna be talking to older girls pretty soon and the difference between a 14 year old and an 18 year old in terms of maturity is massive. You're gonna need to learn to be original, interesting and funny to actually get someone's attention. If you're over 20 and still say this shit, reflect. Maybe this is why you are only comfortable talking to guys and only address women in the group when addressing the group entirely. Why are your other guy friends getting all the girls' attention? You're just as good looking as they are. But you do get the feeling that they're uncomfortable around you. See why that may be.
@@varun009 awww, poor baby. Did you take it to another level? Pitiful that you must make it out to be something else. You really should take your mind out of the gutter.

Hiya to my fav captains! Nice tour of a nice boat, thank you. A question, if I may? Where is the central vac hiding? We saw the hose, the inlet but where have they hidden the rest? Your style as co-presenters is growing video by video. I love the interplay between you as you lead us around, very well done, another great video by the way! Take care & stay safe... Steve...
good question, the central vac unit was underneath the staircase, thanks for watching
When I retire, I have visions of doing many things. This is low on my list but it is not totally out of the question. I like the simplicity and price. I could see myself and the wife cruising around town in this.
Love your videos!! Outtakes are hilarious!!
Yay! Thank you!
Awesome, Would like to see more mini yacht vids in the sub 50 foot range
Noted!
I agree with this very much.
Again great job guys. You are awesome. I don't even own a boat but i love to watch you.
awesome boat for a single fella or small framed couple, wish I would have seen this right after u filmed I would have bought it!!
Great boat tour and great outfit Victoria!
Thanks so much!
Looks very good for a 2001 boat, very well maintained.... 👍🏻
We agree!
I like this boat a lot. Nice presentation that was very informative.
I'd make some minor changes, like the generator upgrade you suggested and update the chart plotter. I like the fact you've got options to either liveaboard or just keep her as a weekender. I really enjoy your reviews they're fun and informative. I've watched other boat channels and they are sooooo boring, I find I'm going two or three to one viewings. One of theirs to two or three of yours. 😁
Absolutely beautiful… and the boats kinda nice too!
