Hope this ground up RMCs at smaller parks becomes a trend
you can cross your fingers, but at $18 million, don't hold your breath!
@@timk987 not at these interest rates!
Thats what the Raptors for. Fun Spot bucked the system
@@tinypoolmodelshipyard because John Arie is filthy rich
Probably the family ones they showed last year which wouldn’t be bad, still would slap and have great airtime, just wouldn’t be tall or fast
Best elements in my opinion:
1. Outerbank turn.
2. Zero-G roll
3. Quad down
4. Raven truss dive
5. Zero-G stall
6. First drop
And yes, that airtime hill before the zero-g roll is absolutely nuts.
Probably one of the best paced coasters out there.
That Outerbank turn was absolutely ridiculous
@@tay_thrills omg esp the red side, and the air on the double up into the arcade roll 🤤
Agreed this comment is 💯
You know it's good when the whole train in unison yell whoa, whoa at every element.
That up shot of the stall was just money. Beautiful.
Thank you!
Please everyone come ride this awesome coaster it’s definitely in my top 3 rmc coasters
You’re not lying!
This truly sets a precedent that any park can get a ground up RMC if they want to pay the price tag. I thought Zadra was a one off because it was distributed by Vekoma in what became basically their exhibition park, but Aireforce is a example that as long as a park can fund it, RMC can make its signature rides fully from the ground up and make it a top 5 ride. This opens so many doors for proper RMCs in parks that don’t have or don’t want to convert woodies.
Also hopefully fun spot can support this and add more coasters because this is a massive gamble for a park who only really had a go kart track to its name before this
All for the price of a B&M mini-Dive.
Realistically they need to shore up their flat ride collection a bit next, after that I'd love to see something from Gravity Group here. If not that, a Raptor clone or maybe a Vekoma launch would be nice. As of now SFoG doesn't have a launch coaster. Or a good woodie either. So either of those would offer something not available up the road.
@@toyoracer33 hell yeah cause over ga woodie is old it would be nice to get a gci woodie here we need a good new woodie in ga
Zadra wasn't a one off. There's Goliath, Wildfire, and Lightning Rod as well.
@@lastone032085 Those are all Topper Track though, which is what RMC was doing back then, with Outlaw Run setting that president. I think the point Value Network was making was in reference to ground up I-box coasters.
Fun Fact: The amusement park and miniature golf scenes in the series Cobra Kai were filmed at Fun Spot Atlanta.
Really?
Looks like Fun Spot has a winner there, and will give Six Flags a run for their money this summer !
From your mouth to gods ear! I hope they get as much of an ROI this year as they did in 2020, when attendance DOUBLED
The fact they have so much land to still add more rides!! Future is bright home run with this coaster!!
I can see this Fun Spot park easily becoming the "Show Horse" of its parks! The mere fact that they installed such a high-end attraction speaks volumes!!
It’s saying a lot!
This is definitely a top tier coaster, IG should be worried. Had a blast riding it all day and getting to finally meet you.
You too! It’s sooo much good!
“My thoughts after 25 rides…”
The 25 rides part really sums it all up lol
The past week I went to Carowinds and Kings Dominion. I also decided purchase tickets for Bush Gardens Williamsburg so hoping it goes well. Thanks for really getting me into coasters and hope to see you during Cedar Point's opening day
That’s amazing! Yeah be sure to say hi!
After getting 8 rides in today, its amazing, the outer banked airtime hill is insane, and I completely agree with the brake run. It slams you so hard into the lapbar. Welcome to number 4 in my ranks Arie.
Got 18 rides on it today, 6 of them being night rides. This thing is incredible. It got faster and faster and after dark it hauled so fast. Not a bad element. The zero g rolls are NUTS. The raven truss dive is really unique, but good. The stall is amazing. But if you have the room to really feel the airtime......... on the red side, the outer bank is the best element in my opinion. Front row is better than the back, aside from the first drop.
It was really nice getting to finally meet you in person. I totally agree, it's hitting that break run a little too hard, it kinda hurts, but what a great ride 🥳
Great meeting you as well! Thanks for saying hi
Hope this ride will attract more than just coaster Enthusiasts , so they willl get a nice ROI and build more rides and coasters real soon 💯
Agreed
I was talking to some people at Kroger just down the road from it. They literally didn't know it was open yesterday. The family I was talking to thought it was only open for the media.
I let them know fun spot is open all week this week so they have lots of opportunity, and that the ride is safe. Apparently that was a concern for them.
But yeah, it's up for us enthusiasts to spread the word and help make that come true.
Seeing how dead it was yesterday, agreed. Never seen a half empty train on opening weekend but also Noone down there knew it was open.
I don't know why the spaceships from Close Encounter Of The Third Kind come to mind when watching these trains after they hit the raven turn and disappear into the distance.
It Truly Looks like a great Roller Coaster and Fun Spot america could be a big park one day!
I love this ride. I only got 6 rides on it, but I was on the train on the brakes when the ride broke down yesterday. I wonder if that shot under the stall was that train, the time you gave out was about when I hopped on the ride.
Can't wait to go back tomorrow!
I was just in Atlanta a little over a week ago. I wish that it would have been open!
I'll have to check it out when I go to 6 Flags out there this year.
The plan is for me to ride it in 2 weeks. My thoughts going into it based on what I've seen thus far. I've been on every RMC in the US other than Jersey Devil. I think going in my expectation is this should be around Twisted Timbers for me. I have that coaster as my #6 overall, and my #4 overall RMC. My top 3 RMCs are Steel Vengeance, Iron Gwazi, and Lightning Rod (Tough to beat it's setting, and the quad down is my favorite moment on any coaster). AFO really looks like a top 10 ride in the US and I would guess Top 20 in the World. More excited about this one than Wildcat's Revenge tbh. The pacing looks great, and it doesn't kill the stall. Sometimes Pacing can kill a stall (Looking at you Gwazi). Airtime looks very good. And the inversions look like they have some good whip to them. This is a home run for a park like Fun Spot Atlanta.
The weird part of this ride, is it's a terrain coaster......but not. The low point of the turn around behind the arcade, is just slightly under 30' lower than the elevation of the first drop which allows the train to maintain it's constant buildup up speed. The land surface gives the illusion that it's just flat, and Drave's design really manipulates this well. It's pretty incredible how this affects the rides course and pacing.
I recommend front seat, left side, or Red side, that raven truss dive gives the best sensation from that seat, as well as the pull out from the fakey into the ground hugger turn. It's delicious. 😋😋😋
@@BrianMark1776 I also had the feeling that it rides like a terrain coaster... But without the terrain.
Ditto on front seat, left side. I really like the front row in general though. The middle rows do provide some PERFECT moments through the zero-G though.
I can’t wait until I get to ride this in 2 years. This will be an amazing ride by the looks of it!
This ride looks incredible, the pacing seems insane, imagine this in the summer this ride is gonna be lethal and intense for sure.
This big ride is very tame
@@coastercult4142 did we ride the same coaster... Or did you ride at all? I don't get motion sickness on any rmc to date and after 8 yesterday I had to ease up because the barrel roll over the arcade is a super tight and it flies through the course slamming into the brakes so ummm... Huh?
@@newenglandcoastershots the most intense roller coaster I have ever ridden was formula Rossa but no RMC is intense at all they’re just fun
Dear God I hate teenagers
I'm gunna assume you haven't ridden it
@@newenglandcoastershots I was never trying to be mean I was just trying to say that it’s not intense in my opinion
I hope to be able to get there sometime in the next couple of years. I have at least one coaster that I have to get on before this one. I never rode dragster so I have to get to Kingda Ka while it still has its hydronic launch!?
Just rode for the first time! Amazing ride in a great little park! The go karts are great too! I love this ride!
It’s a fantastic ride! Glad you enjoyed it
...better than Twisted Timbers and Goliath? Those are some bold words.😮
💯
Great video and review! I'll be there myself in May!
I hope you enjoyed your time riding it hope to ride it one day in the future
It looks a lot better than the rendered POVs, I can see it being amazing
This thing looks amazing! Fun Spot ATL hit it out of the park with this coaster! Hope it's successful and we see more major investment in this park in the future. Definitely will be riding this one next time we're in ATL!
Thanks for the review, it looks absolutely incredible. Also looked like such a great, positive event. John Arie looked so proud! 🚀
it looks incredible cant wait to get out there later this year
Arie is a masterpiece. My 3rd RMC.
Looks like a fun ride.
#2? High praise. I will see for myself but Steve and gwazi and twisted timbers are hard to beat. Also on all the rmcs I've done nothing has been as violent and felt like it tried to kill me more then the raptors in the back row.
Are you sure your not ranking this that high because your there marathoning it having fun. Ratings are always higher for initial reactions. I would say give it some time then say it's better then Steve or twisted timbers also the one in Japan looks better, wildfire looks better so to say #2 rmc is very hard to believe. Maybe just maybe top 5. Stalls are OK but not the best inversions
Great to meet you Brandon!
You too!!!
@@TP_Recommendations the interview is coming in the next hour so look out!!!
I saw you at twisted cyclone today!
Oh ya? In the station or queue?
Thanks for getting this video out so quick!!!
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching it!
I’ve been waiting for this video!!!
We're here now, two rides in so far - and I guess we just had a station evac lol. But this thing rocks. Even better than I expected. Probably IS a top tier RMC, and that's my take after two cold rides lol
Ride it later
Trust me
@@TP_Recommendations it's getting faster and faster and it is utterly ridiculous right now.
I couldnt ride 25x. i like to ride a ride a few times forget how it performed so i can go back again and re-experience it again.
That’s great!!
@Theme Park Predictions just my thoughts man.
Hey Brandon, if you see this: do you think your back row ride being at 11am and maybe before AF1 was completely warmed up may have played a part in how your back row ride compared to your front?
Looking forward to trying it out myself tomorrow 👍👍
Yes 100. I still like the front row better than the back. But as it warms up, it gets better
No offense but I expect newer rides to learn and be made better then rides done before so it being better then Steve is expected at least in my eyes I will admit I love that color scheme they have
The seating looks amazing for a terrific ride. Did it seem strange without a conventional lap bar ?
These are the same trains RMC ben using since 2018. What do you mean by "without a conventional lap bar?"
@@timk987 One that the rider cannot actually hang on to. The RMC style really gives upper body freedom to the rider
Great video Brandon!
im about to head there saturday! didnt even know about it until the youtubes started popping up.
I really don’t think it could be better than vengeance.
Most of the people we were riding me (14 of us) all agree
I think Aire is my second favorite RMC beating out Lightning Rod but Iron Gwazi is still my #1 . The only complaint is the ending but I’ll happily let it beat me up any day of the week.
It’s a complete coaster. Rode Gwazi 5 days after I rode Arie and I have to say Arie is a better coaster. The outerbank is best in the world!
That's looks awesome with the 2 tone track
Would love to see them make a run at being real competition to Six Flags. Six Flags Over Georgia is an absolute dump. Worst park I've been to as far as the customer experience goes.
300th like and this will be my 300th Coaster on Monday 😊
Congrats
Raven truss dive*
raven turns are only found on 4d coasters.
Oh ty!
Best theme park video
rode today on a not busy day, one train ops, brakes still hit hard and hurt 😂
I swear I heard the riders yelling, LETS GO BRANDON!
Brandon did win Georgia 😊
Lol
@@TP_Recommendations you could win Georgia. Either party.
That actually happened about 5 minutes before Fun Spot closed as Brandon was holding up the grouper chit chatting fans downstairs and 6+ of us had to yell "Let's go Brandon" (to get on the ride) so we could make it off and back on before the 10pm close.
Although the most common thing I heard yelled on opening day was "Is that Theme Park Predictions!?!"
well you say it's your #2 rmc but to me, it seems like a mini zadra, so where would you place zadra?
What else does this park have to offer?how much just to ride this Beast?
$12 per ride! Get the all day wrist band.
They have go Karts - flat rides and 2 other famiky / kid coasters
Let’s goooooooo
So the red and blue tracks feel different
Are you a hands up guy or hold on/hands down?
Hands up all day long.
@@TP_Recommendations Except when playing Coaster Rock Paper Scissors
RMC really focuses on quality over quantity!
Is that area open to the public
You can walk along the side of it next to the road yes
Are you back down there today?
No
SFOG today
@@TP_Recommendations You're such a fibber - I saw you at Fun Spot Atlanta today!
Still using those bad restraints that uncomfortably come down and crush your thighs. Even for smaller people. Worth it just wish they would improve them. They need to take notes from the newer intamin restraints
500th video
First
Aren't up stop media the people who made that God awful first POV for the coaster? 🤢
Nope they didn’t. I think the park did
Come on now Brandon...we ALL know you are a SV hater! LOL...Steel V opens up..ITS #1..IG...its #1!!..VC...Its #1!!!...when Dragster and Wildcats Revenge open..him and every hardcore enthusiasts is gonna yell #1!!! 😂 yall are hilarious man...I had to.mess with u and everybody else lol.all in fun...but this ride looks too short....GOOD..but short..i like a loooong ride with elements.....it could definitely be probably top 15...but beating out SV..IG..even the Voyage....naaaaaaaah LOL..nice try though swaying the masses...but you can't fool me lol
Thanks 👍 for all your videos and your hard work my question is why you don't do on ride pov thanks 👍
I don’t have a go pro :) and I have some great fiends who do the POV’s and I let them do it on their channels
