I have a 2.5 year old and I feel like I have my hands full with just her… You parent 4 kids with such grace. I wonder if you could talk more about your philosophy around parenting? I remember in one of your videos you said that it isn’t out job to entertain our kids. How did your little ones learn to play so well independently? I feel like I always have to be playing with my daughter but then I neglect my other duties and self care. I’m a fairly new mom so any advice from yourself or the community would be appreciated 😊💕
Hi. I would say.. try to involve your daughter in your work as play time as much as possible. If not, try to start an activity with her then once she's doing it, you do some work and keep popping back to her or commenting from afar. Also remember, you only see the best of people's lives on you tube and kids grow so quickly. X
So sorry about your table, we had the exact same thing happen a couple of summers ago. Fortunately, less than a week later our neighbor put his, still very nice, deck table out by the road and we joyfully walked across the street and made it our own. ;)

Gosh, the umbrella incident has happened to us twice! Once, when the umbrella was totally folded in. HIGH wind and another when I left it up and got really windy while I was out shopping. I adored the last table we had and struggled to find another that wasn't expensive. Finally found one on Lowes. So far, so good. But we bring the umbrella in now when there is any windy weather. I hadn't heard of the book or the author but looked him up. Sounds like an amazing story. I've gotten a couple of books you've recommended. Thanks for the video. Enjoyed it so much. xoxTX

Hey, Hilary! I thought you said that your children don't watch television. Did your views on that change? We try to keep it at a minimum but there are definitely times where it's convenient to pop in a dvd.
We don’t have traditional cable and haven’t for over 10 years but we do watch other streaming services on occasion. We just try to be moderate about their screen time, some days it’s none, some days it’s more.
Sorry about your table! We have had that happen here in Simi Valley, California where I live, it gets windy here often. So nice to have a clean house and fresh start for the week. ❤️
We're watching Terminal List as well! Tonight is our last episode! I have heard of David Goggins- he is very inspirational. You are having a Navy Seal day! I try to always remember the Seal saying/truth that when you feel totally exhausted you still have another 40% to give. :)
That happened to our glass table a few years ago. We cut plywood for it and sealed it. I than used a tablecloth for the rest of that season…Until we replaced it with one with replaceable tiles, that was on clearance. Hope yours it repaired/replaced soon. See you soon ❤️🙏🏻

something I love to do for Halloween ! I bought a plastic pumpkin (meant for trick or treating) fill it with cement when the cement is cured you have to cut the plastic away. the flat space on the top can be decorated with fall flowers or what every you would like. it turns out so fun!!! and different. it makes a great gift too!!! hope you try it.

Ours shattered this year also! We found a set at Walmart the one Crystal tara showed for $897 by Better Homes & garden with sectional and dining table + 2 ottomans kids sit it (also all cushions and covers for winter included) We love it & saved our old chairs for parties.

Hilary sorry about your table. My grandson says things happen. Glass to buy or have custom cut is expensive. I was thinking if Dan had some thin enough but sturdy plank boards he could use nail glue and fit you s table top. You could stain it. You could buy a piece of plywood and make it. I would put something on it until I found one at a sale or Lowe's when on clearance. I got one there for $40 on clearance. You can get good buys if you go on a week day and look for their yellow stickers. Pizza looks delicious. Take care. 💙🌹💙

I will have to keep my eye out for one of those. Also, the David Goggins book must be wonderful. I haven't read it personally, but my husband and all four of my adult sons and one of my adult daughters have read it, loved it, and they have all kept the book on their desks or shelves. If you're ever interested in a sourdough pizza dough, I use a double recipe of a flatbread that I make fairly often - 2 cups flour, 1 cup starter (fed or unfed), 1/2 cup milk and a tsp salt - so good!! You mix all ingredients and let it sit for at least 3-4 hours or overnight, roll out and it's ready to go. ☺️ (If you end up using it for flatbread you divide the dough into 8, roll flat, oil/season both sides and pan fry for 1-2 mins per side.)

I would like your feedback on the pizza crust did you like it would it be worth me purchasing that type of flour for pizza

We use a hose clamp to put around the umbrella pole under the table to keep the umbrella from lifting .

Those tables look great when you drill planks of wood on top. Its a great d.i.y looks better than a glass top. Drill a hole for the umbrella...
