By "Almost Home", he didn't mean just going to his house when he was growing up, the old man was about to die at the time that he woke him, and go "Home". His parents were there to guide him.
You missed just one great second at the end of that video when Craig softly says to Jelly Roll, you know I'm always a phonecall away. Two genuine human beings ❤
The old man is talking about being on the brink of dying on the bench when he was woken up. He was explaining what he was seeing as Heaven. He was "almost home."
one of my favorite songs, love craig morgan. youe were somewhat right with the meaning of the song, the man in the song is on the brink of dying and off in dream state basically. picturing all those little things that bring him happiness/peace, and he's ready to go in that moment. and along cones someone that pulls him back but he says you know I wish you had just left me to go. beautiful song
I can't tell you how happy it made me to see you react to this song and enjoy it so much. Its always been one of my absolute favorites. You brought tears to my eyes. God Bless You!!
Britt - I have never enjoyed watching someone's reactions as I do yours - so genuine and full of emotion! And seriously, your voice is simply incredible and I am surprised why you never pursued a career in signing yourself, you have a great voice!
Wow, Miss Brittany, U reacted to his comment that to my comment which I thought was very special because I’ve never been so sentimental with any podcast person and you didn’t even give me a heart or anything you didn’t say that’s nice for anything woman. Wow that’s incredible.
You should 100% do a whole playlist of Craig Morgan reactions ❤️ Some of my favorites-Soldier, Tough, Love Remembers, That’s what I love about Sundays! They are all so so good! I’ve met him 3 times when he plays for the military and he is such a great person!
The Father,My son,and The Holy Ghost by Craig Morgan, is a song Craig wrote after he lost his teenage son in a tubing accident. It’s what helped Craig heal, after suffering the loss of his eldest son. It’s amazing and will definitely hit you in the feels.
saw Craig in a small venue and he entertained every second...he came out into the crowd to one of his young fans that had some disabilities and sang to and with that child, 'danced' with him in the child's wheelchair, no dry eyes around....
@brittreacts The people that say that stuff about Bunnie need to watch her and Jelly on bussin with the boys podcast, Jelly talks about when they met he was living in a van and didn’t have any money and he wanted to get custody of his daughter but he didn’t know how he was going to be able to because of his record he couldn’t find a place to rent and Bunnie came to Nashville and rented him a place and paid for an attorney so he could get his daughter out of danger! People just judge her for he past but she’s an amazing lady and Jelly is a great guy! They are proof that people deserve second chances!
@@matthewdooley7855 I have a ton of respect for both of them and I love how @jellyroll uses his platform to lift people up and show them it’s never too late for you to achieve your dreams!
Craig is so humble. He makes you see the story he is telling in his songs! I’ve been at some small gatherings for veterans when he was singing. Both times he left me in tears. I felt his song in my soul. Love this man!
Jelly and Bunny have been together BEFORE Jelly had any money. Their love is genuine ❤️ She says it hurts her, for him, when people say that. Bunny was in a very physical abusive relationship before, and Jelly got her with his swag and the way he treated her. She has a podcast "Bunny XO" and she has had him on to "interview" and talk about their relationship..
Your description of Jelly Roll is spot on ...he is genuinely honest about where he's been in life and how that has made him who he is....I watched him mentor on Idol this year and that big teddy bear was crying during most of the mentor sessions...he wears his heart on his sleeve for all the world to see...God bless him on his journey through life and music...Karl from eastern Canada ☮☮☮❤❤❤🎵🎵🎵
Craig Morgan was a Arm Ranger and is an avid outdoors man rides motor cross a TRUE AMERICAN MALE. I had the pleasure of camping and Elk hunting with him a few years back, WHAT A FELLA!!!!! I really wish you would react to his songs Wake Up Loving You & My favorite - The Father My Son and The Holy Ghost, which he wrote after his son passed away, it will strain your emotions.......
Great reaction Britt! Just wish you had finished the last bit of video after Jelly received his heartfelt gift from Craig. As they were hugging, you can hear Craig tell Jelly that he’s just a phone call away meaning should Jelly ever be in need. Also, Jelly apologized to the crowd for ugly crying again after receiving his gift. Two great men up on stage❤️
This lyric is so deep. So much meaning. But can we acknowledge that it’s legitimately sad that people live without the experience of feeling the freedom that he’s talking about.
Opposites on a physical level attract to each other simply because they connect on a soul level. They dig deeper and connect the parts of them that truly matter
I love how you seem to get people and the energy they put off. I was turned on to Jelly back in the day by my niece who loves him. Back with the Waylon and Wilie albums he did with Struggle. She told me he was such a real artist and she was a fan that helped make him big. So you really did get it right. That's why people love him. He's so honest and relatable to the broken souls. He speaks for so many. ❤❤❤. Loved your reaction as always😊
A lot of sad songs in Country, but this one is right up there. Craig Morgan tells a lot of great stories. One of the under-rated artists in country music, I think because he's just so wholesome. "That's What I Love About Sunday" paints a beautiful picture. Jelly Roll is interesting - I mean, he was living that life, was living all the reasons someone might avoid a guy that looks like him. And now he's turned his live around. God is GREAT!
Great reaction video, "Britt!" So many good points that you made in your comments! I am sorry you lost your sister. Criag's son was lost in a boating accident, I believe. Lost my aunt in a car accident. Lost my brother to suicide. Lost my cousin to suicide. I could go on! But we are still blessed. We have a chance. Love.
Was llayjng this song on one ear bud as a coustomer came into building and went to manager saying someone passed away in one of our shed out front. But yeah once i found this version song. It reminded me of where j was. And still lights my way into tomorrow
What some people don't understand about Jelly & Bunnie is that when they met, SHE had money & HE was broke! She supported him & HIS KIDS for a long time. She might not be "family friendly" but she LOVES that man! ❤
This song gets me every single time I listen to it. You may have already reacted to it but if you haven’t try This ain’t nothin’ it’s another one that will bring tears. Love your channel
Miss Britney, I have never text you before any messages whatsoever, but I have to lay it out for you. I’m not gonna sugarcoat anything it’s just gonna be strictly positive actions taken place my daughter her name is Britney. Also, do you have the beautiful teeth I’ve ever seen you have most sweetest, kindest heart and you are absolutely 100% the best reaction podcast person I’ve ever listen to and I have a listen to at least 100 different ones. You listen to every single word every song no matter if you like the song or not. You’re very honest and I could keep on going that list about U is phenomenal. Thank you so much for your kind everything for your husband he’s so blessed to have a wonderful lady like you your mom and dad or whoever raised you get a fantastic job on your upbringing. OK that’s enough compliments for today. Thank you for everything.
I honestly didn’t think this song could have gotten better MAN WAS I WRONG, Jelly Roll is such a talented artist alongside Craig, The fact he brought him up on stage cause that song meant so much to Jelly, you can’t help but respect Craig for this.
Someone else mentioned this before me, but “Home” is Heaven. It’s a similar to Carrie Underwood’s Temporary Home. When I realized the true meaning of it, I cried for ages anytime I heard it.
They described an old man with bags over his shoes, wool socks on his hands and the bank sign blinking -5* next to some trash cans the old man was dying. His childhood, parents were leading him home. And they woke him up just before he got home permanently no more cold or heat, food, no sickness, pain.
He was freezing to death and was dreaming his last moments of his farm and his dead parents and what he loved to do and the place he loved before he joined them in heaven .....
Britt, I think you would be a great country artist. From listening to you sing along with country singers I belive you definitely have the voice and feel singing country music. Country music fans don't give two shits what you look like or where you're from just as long as you singreal and from the heart. Just something to think about .
I love how this wasn’t practiced. You can see them deciding there who picks up the verse. 9:08 the man was close to freezing to death and his mind was making him relive the good parts of his life. Kinda like when they say your life flashes before your eyes. Craig Morgan reminds me a lot of Willie Nelson in the way he sings. His head movements when he sings certain parts of the song is just like Willie. 16:43 it was a tubing accident and he drowned.
That's what they said about Luke Combs wife and she's been with him way before stardom. Like a line in WAYLON JENNINGS song It Ain't How You Look It's What You Got Under The Hood, Craig and Jelly are both REAL VERL APPROACHABLE TY
I lost my 33 year old brother due to a car accident as well in 2007. He was in a coma for 11 days before passing. The pain is awful. Also, I believe you totally missed the meaning of this song. The old man was dying and was almost "home", as in heaven.
Yeah the story is about the sing walking in a winter mix type weather... Freezing rain and spitting snow....and the singer/story teller is walking and notices a homeless man curled up behind some garbage cans. The singer is concerned and goes up to check and make sure the homeless man is still alive and physically shakes the homeless man. The homeless opens his eyes, and the singer ask "are you ok?" and homeless man responds with... - I just climbed out of a cottonwood tree I was runnin' from some honey bees Drip dryin' in the summer breeze After jumpin' into Calico creek I was walkin' down an old dirt road Past a field of hay that had just been mowed Man I wish you'd just left me alone 'Cause I was almost home...- I am not for sure but i feel like this could be interpreted two ways. One...the homeless man was actually dreaming of his life as a kid and was blissful and happy despite the terrible situation (homeless...weather...). Or option two...that homeless man was "sleeping" but closer to deaths door as he would surely freeze to death and since he was closer to death...he is seeing his childhood in his mind or maybe even seeing into what heaven will be for him. And either way...his "peace" was interrupted by a concerned person... thus the "wish you'd left me alone..I was almost home"
I find jelly incredibly attractive. My mama told me I wouldn't say that if i met him on the street and she's dead wrong. Matter of fact, there's a man in my town that i see all the time, and he's jellys size and sooo soo sweet and good. I would date him in a second if he was single! I love Jelly and Bunnie. They are fantastic humans. People could learn so much from them if they would just shut up for a minute and listen.
By "Almost Home", he didn't mean just going to his house when he was growing up, the old man was about to die at the time that he woke him, and go "Home". His parents were there to guide him.
Nah, he was just going home to his parent's. That's why he spoke about cobbler being on the stove....
The old man in the song was freezing to death and was telling the younger man that he was at peace with death. He was almost home. Love what you do!
You missed just one great second at the end of that video when Craig softly says to Jelly Roll, you know I'm always a phonecall away. Two genuine human beings ❤
Craig is an amazing human being, a Christian, a war hero…and in his 60’s, has joined the National Guards.
You must discover his music.
The old man is talking about being on the brink of dying on the bench when he was woken up. He was explaining what he was seeing as Heaven. He was "almost home."
This song has so many of my childhood memories in it. I cry every time I hear it.
Jelly roll is by far the best. I got to see him in concert. Within reaching distance. Amazing human being. One of the best concerts I’ve been to.

- I just climbed out of a cottonwood tree
I was runnin' from some honey bees

I was walkin' down an old dirt road
Past a field of hay that had just been mowed
