From what I have heard in Jelly Roll interviews and Jason DeFord, he talks about when is daughter was born, he challenged himself to be a father to Bailey as much as his father was to him and his family. Then when Bunnie told him that if they did not continue their relationship, at least she was going to help him get custody of Bailey and the love they found in each other has carried Jelly Roll into a rising star connecting with so many individuals who needed to have a voice and hope that their is life for them as well. I pray that God continues to honor and bless Jason and his loved ones for many more years to come. ❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Craig Morgan does have a son that died, but it was years after this song was written. In fact, a song he wrote about his son's death is what brought him back into the mainstream after being away for about five years.
Jelly is just REAL. He's not bubblegum and puppies he's LIFE'S HARD and you know it. Thanks for this. I really appreciate it. Honestly for me when Jelly Roll did Simple Man WITH Shinedown. That is the other example for me of what it can mean. Song wise the last song I shared with my late wife Lorna before she passed was Faith Hill's version of "There You'll Be" from the soundtrack of Pearl Harbor because Everywhere I am there she'll be. That one destroys me, every single time.
First time I ever heard this song, Craig Morgan (who was a Army Veteran) and Chris Young came out to our deployment to perform for us. I loved this song. I listened to it every night until I got home. Craig Morgan did a song called "The Father, My Son, and the Holy Ghost" which was dedicated to his son, who passed away from a drowning accident. Kinda brings this song full circle for me. For the song that got me through shit over there too was Home by Michael Buble. ua-cam.com/video/lbSOLBMUvIE/v-deo.html
To have the person who helped inspire you through one of the hardest times in your life tell you that you & your story has now inspired them… wow, talk about life changing experiences! I love both of them bc they are both so real and relatable!
I hope we see more collabs with Craig & Jelly Roll. I'm a new fan of Jelly Roll's because of you, thank you for reacting to this song. I'm bawling my eyes out now, remembering (I lost my baby brother 7 months ago, and my sister 4 months ago).
Yep, I'm ugly crying!!!! 75 years old and I love Graig Morgan and Jelly Roll. My husband of 55 years passed three years ago. What is getting me through is anything Home Free Nick Zammeti Wood Turning, and you guys!! Love you guys, too!!
Last few years have been going through several rough issues in parallel... Chris Stapleton's 'Sometimes I Cry', Disturbed's 'The Light' and 'A Reason to Fight', and Avi Kaplan's 'Change on the Rise' and 'First Place I Go' saved my life. In the past, Dolly Parton's 'Better Get to Livin' helped me get through a lot. Music is the best therapy for me...
10:44 not quite. Kerry Kurt Phillips and Craig Morgan wrote the song together long before Craig Morgan’s son died. Craig Morgan did a song about his son The Father, My Son, and The Holy Ghost. In an interview Kerry Phillips said the most asked question is was the man sleeping or dying and he said the thought never crossed his mind that the man was dying. The original idea for the song was a man falling asleep on a plane and then they decided a singer would come upon a man fallen on hard times.
Craig Morgan was my first concert in 2021 after the "no public events" word that isn't allowed on you tube. Had been a fan for many years. This song will never not bring the tears. Different parts of it hit me each time.
Craig Morgan is from my town his son went to school with me Craig Morgan is the most wholesome human being you will meet he does a lot for kids in foster care
My favorite reaction ever from you guys ! not just bc of the song but bc how you truly feel what he must have felt . uggg im a goober .. lol ! but this is top tear reaction! much love ❤️
@307Reacts great reaction just sub’d. Craig did write this song. Craig is 1 who lost his son in a tragic boating accident when his son was 19. If you haven’t, please react to Craig singing the song live at the Grand Ole Opry that he wrote about it “The Father My Son and The Holy Ghost” The performance was AMAZING and the bravery it took for him to do that is incredible. It was the 1st time he had performed it. I think you guys will enjoy it. Thanks friends!
This would be like myself getting to perform "smoking section" with Jelly.... Jelly is my Craig Morgan and I've watched this 3 or 4 times outside of 307 reacts... Still cry like a bitch everytime lol this is truly therapeutic music to quote jelly
I wonder myself 😂 I think it’s just I try to pay attention to everything around me and that crosses my screen and even though I may not remember every detail I’ll remember the basic premise. Just being observant or trying to be 😂 I flub alot
Please - 'Beginner's Guide to Pentatonix' and PTX World Tour 2019 Eps.0, 1, and 2. If you should opt for this, be sure you have more than 29% on the camera.
Somewhere I Belong is one of those tunes that comes on and I turn into a drunk white girl at a frat party that knows every word and sings it way too loud 😂
If you could do that and change one persons life as Craig Morgan did then you have served your purpose in life, how fortunate to change a persons life when you don’t benefit nothing financially but you get to feel what true love ❤️ was meant to be a selfless service.
First time hearing Jelly Roll. I now know why you recommended him so strongly. He is simply fantastic. I am a fan for life.

Almost home is going to heaven. When you hear the elderly talk about going home that's what they are talking about.
I've been watching Jelly Roll for a long ass time such a humble dude amazing artist and just a badass singer/rapperr/human!!
I looked at the song differently. I thought the guy was next to freezing to death & was dreaming of going "home", heaven.
I have always thought the same.
That is the story you're right. Craig Morgan's son didn't pass away til 2016, this song was written in 2002
Same
Craig Morgan does have a son that died, but it was years after this song was written. In fact, a song he wrote about his son's death is what brought him back into the mainstream after being away for about five years.
The name of the song is "The Father, My Son, and The Holy Ghost."

When you have the hand-written framed lyrics from Craig when it was a song that got you through so much, that is truly a priceless gift!!
I ugly cried right, especially when it was just Craig and Jelly Roll. Powerful song, and great artists!

Craig Morgan’s son died when he was 19 after a boating accident. He writes all of his own music
Craig Morgan tells a story as well as anyone in music.
Mine is Rascal Flats Let it hurt , it is where I am now.
React to Tim Foust’s cover -Will you love me tomorrow/Stay. You’d absolutely enjoy it.
