God bless you for your wonderful musical skills, Jonny. God bless for your kindness and sharing your knowledge with people. I wish to have time to learn from you now. But I’m happy to find your videos for a future practicing.
OMG dude, not just the quality of your tutorials, but your way of teaching is so GOOD and COOL! I have teachers in my music college, but you're the best in terms of motivation (and in piano abilities)! I love the way you make piano look so easy to play. Thank God that my mates are starting to see the same in me; they tell me: "When you play the piano, you make it look easy to play". I'll try the PWJ trial membership soon! =D Bless you :) Greetings from Mexico
Thanks!! To be honest, almost everything I learned on piano is from my teachers or things I learned on the "street" - just playing piano for thousands of professional events like weddings, corporate parties, and of course, over 9 years as the Disneyland pianist playing in 4 different shows. You really have to do it in order to understand it, and so many teachers teach because they can't "do".
Awesome! Thank you Johnny for your overview of these styles and breaking it down step to step in a doable format. You are a natural teacher and exquisite player. In Deep Gratitude, Emily
Hey Jonny, what's the chance I can learn the ragtime version in 8 days for my own birthday? hahaha not a chance, even though I do practice a few hours most days. thanks for the lessons!!!! none the less, I am going to try. Wish me luck.
I subscribed to your channel few weeks back and liked the way you share your craft. I'd love to practice it..hope and wish for myself able to get it ultinately :)
only 15 and live in morocco so cant buy anything if there was at least 2 of that 7 styles wouldve been enough TT well anyway its a great way to teach im almost done with this part and i guess ill just have to stop there u did a GREAT JOB and thanks for that :)
Hello sir,let me introduce myself first,i'm Yonatan from Indonesia,i'm 18 years old. Here,i'm very excited with your playing piano.I was surprised when i wacthed how you combine all stuff and style of music like jazz, latin, and boogie.I'm very like it.I was following you since 1 year ago and learning your play. I want to know , who is your influence that you can become a great player like now? Is that like Oscar peterson , Jaki Byard,or else? And i hopefully you can teach us more about latin and some various stuff. Thanks sir!
Some of them is my favourite too sir , thanks for it! So , your father is a jazz player? I see , its great that have son like you sir! Yes , i have checked it , maybe someday i'll register.
It seems minimum wage at Indonesia varies from region, at U$82 - U$232 range. So, for a 18yo indonesian, 30U$ monthly may represent quite an investment. Maybe you could offer a membership discount for those from less privileged (financially, of course) countries? BTW, membership is totally worth the investment, there's plenty of amazing content on Jonny.com...
Hi Jonny! I just found your channel and subscribed. I play the piano in my middle school jazz band, and I was wondering if you could give me some tips on remembering how to play all the different chords put in a song, cause I can never fully play all the different chords that are put in a song before we play it at a concert, and I have a huge band competition coming up.
Thank you very much. I was going to give up piano.... All I could play was boring, repetitive pop songs. I wanted to be able to play jazzy songs and more intricate pieces, which you made easier for me. It was my brother's birthday and, I was sick and tired of playing the boring right-hand-only happy birthday and so I checked out some videos. All of them were badly-explained, but this one... It's both amazingly complicated, intuitive and explained very well.. Thank you!
Im playing the piano for 6 years now and I'm considering buying the full lesson. The problem is that I'm unsure if i will be able to learn the song what do you think john?
Hello, my friend, I enjoy your classes! I'm a Teacher too in Brazil... Could you please tell me what software do you use that it is making the piano keys turn blue while you are playing? Thanks a lot
Don't fret about that!! Please, I had lessons with one of the top pianists in my home area for a few years, and HE couldn't hit all the 10th's either. He would just roll them as I have to when a 10th involves a white and black key. For instance on D to F# or E to G# or A to C#. Don't sweat the small stuff!!!
Awww =O Thanks pal =D By the way I barely achieve the tenths but very awkward... my hands aren't so large to play these tenths comfortably but ain't that some either than most my peers of the same gender... wish I could play those better hmmm
hi. I am trying to do the run through, when you arpeggiate the f chord but am not able to do it that fast.. can you please give me some tips on how to go fast on it

How about if my hand is small is it difficult to get it?
my hands are small too so instead of playing tenths, I do octaves, and sometimes I switch to chords
Please teach more Hymns like Amzing Grace and How great thou art.....Traditionals
I hope. This channel gets. More. View and subscribers.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Unfortunately I got to small hands to play a tenth. What can I do instead?
Try playing on the bottom edge of the key, or else you can play it broken. 🎹
I want the samba section, please!
