I was amazed how reasonably priced and how quickly everything was done. In the Philippines, they would milk the job and add additional costs. We spent $3,000 US to build a small home for a relative. The money ran out and it’s still not finished. My wife passed away and I put a stop to it. My wife was being compassionate to build them a house and they just took advantage of her. They were telling me they need more money to complete the house and I told them they pissed the money away and they’re not getting anymore. Great video and it reassured me in my suspicions as to what was going on. Take care, mate.
A working man appreciates the beer, I know as a former contractor a case of beer goes a long way. Also, there in Laos you aren't dealing with excessive government regulations and excessive corporate fat inflating prices. Excellent to see. Looking forward to seeing more

Alas Todd, due to the steel, you neglected the Architects plans, engineers approval and the permits. In your instance, just another case of Beer Lao 😎. Cheers Todd
Very informative video Todd! Not sure how the prices will be in 20 years time, when we go to retire in the wife’s country, but I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed 😅
Can you please provide me the information on the shop where you purchased the item and the builder work company? who do the man cave for you, wanted to do something similar. That a good price ..
Interesting on the concrete prices as they were about half of Home Depot for a bag but the blocks were ridiculously less. I couldn’t find the same ones quickly so that could be the difference but talking $49 for yours vs $700 for standard US blocks.
Amazing the low cost of materials but, then again the labor cost of making those materials in Laos is extremely low. Nice looking structure looks like quality work. 👍 It'll be good to see Chris again and see what he's been up to.👍
