I don't understand why guys go to the streets to pay for a sexual service as opposed to trusted, legit, and verified adult service sites. It makes me wonder if they're wrong-uns. Either that or they can't afford a proper escort, it's really sad either way for the females, can't imagine.
January 2024, (Sir) Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, when questioned by Susan Hall during Mayor's Question Time, persistently refused to answer whether there are grooming gangs in London. Moreover, he asked that she clarify what she meant by grooming gangs and stated he was "not clear what she means". This isn't the first time Khan has stonewalled questions about grooming gangs in London. See David Poulden, Sadiq Khan shuts down questions about grooming gangs. It is difficult to believe that this isn't continuing to happen in London now. Even when this documentary was made, grooming gangs like Martin Malone aka "sexual fagan" (mentioned in the documentary) and his partner Pauline Young were abusing and exploiting vulnerable underage girls. It's also time the language, negative attitudes towards the children and sentencing powers are changed. STOP calling these vulnerable children prostitutes! It's outrageous.
I've seen it. Khan doesn't come across very well, but nor does Hall. She''s in bad faith, not interested in drugs gangs who do exactly the same thing. Only gangs "like in Rotherham" apparently. What's the difference? Part of Khan's excessive caginess no doubt comes from the fact everything he says is sent round the world in clips, framed to make him look bad. If he says probably yes, it's "Khan admits it, and does nothing", if he says he doesn't know, that's bad too. It's noticeable how Andy Burnham for instance doesn't get a millionth of the shit for bad things that happen on his patch. Khan needs to get better at answering this stuff, but he did mention lots of things they are doing.
We would do well to remember its our fathers husbands brothers and sons buying these services and until we bring our sons up probably this \ill sadly continue 😢

@@treznik I think David Powell was making a play on the word nonce. The English slang term for someone sexually interested in the underage or mentally childlike. I think in the US they say Chomo in the same way.
I dont understand why guys just dont go to verified, trusted, safe adult service sites if theyre wanting a sexual service. Not the streets, where women like this are suffering...
There are trafficking victims on those 'verified' sites too. The same goes for the legal brothels in Germany (etc.). Here's an idea, stop paying to use someone's body and use your hand instead if you don't have enough rizz to get laid.
How sad but it’s been happening for years Victorian years and further back. I like Phil Gayle as presenter and have not seen him for years, I hope he’s doing ok ❤
The government enables.and is very much involved in this child sexual exploitation, as well as the local.councils children's homes, not all but still one to many!
A child sexual assault, for the child and the child into adult, it never goes away, every single day without exception I have no choice but to think about some aspect of it, trying to make sense of it.
It’s not child prostitution it’s paedophilia and child abuse ..imagine the home these kids are running away from that they prefer this life it’s beyond heartbreaking
My friend from a kids home was working the streets at 14 years old in Nottingham . It was sick .they even used to arrest her for it . Hopefully times have changed. I often wonder where she is now .she would now be 46
From the street corners to the shadows of the information highway. The situation is no better today - just less visible to John Q. Citizen. Grooming and trafficking goes on but online. For the acts themselves, the same seedy motels and landlords still exist, and now we have Airbnb in the mix.
Soho was certainly becoming more of a place to be visited for meals out, upmarket bars etc. Runaways in London were a big thing since the sixties and seventies (there's another video on this channel from 1975, called Johnny Go Home, which is not an easy watch). It's horrifying to see so recently, but I think the Police were being much more proactive than they had been.
Even ~2006 it was super seedy, grubby men all over the place and women in doorways beckoning people in. Literal red lights in windows, open drug dealing. It was surreal to walk through there after dark, it felt lawless.
@ Ironically, the drug dealers (almost certainly selling fakes) may have been a reflection of the area getting nicer, attracting more people looking for a fun night out. Still as annoying as hell though.
Allowed ? Well a lot did get prosecuted and jailed. I bet you are a Karen type who hates the underclass victims of nonces anyway. Fake concern to mask your own hatred. PS what do you think of the British Army raping and murdering kids in Iraq Afghanistan etc?

No such thing as child prostitution, there's only child sexual abuse.
The way the cops are referring to these groomed and exploited children as "child prostitutes" and treat them like criminals. Disgusting

I can't believe this is still happening with grooming gangs!

@elliot6467 as long as there is a demand by these men there will always be a supply by the traffickers coz they want easy money

exactly a prostitute gets paid for a sexual service a child cant consent its rape
A 13 year old working the streets and dying of a heroin overdose . This absolutely breaks my heart😢
And the fact she had been abused since the age of 3 really broke my heart, the poor girl didn't have anyone on her side

To be fair, this documentary is almost a quarter-century old, so some of the language is bound to be a little ... shall we say ... dated.
