I was in the shovel in 1985. A few people came onto the wing. We could tell they were not the full Monty. It was a sad affair, watching men struggle with the routine of stir. Some of the drug users would half inch their meds. Out of one institution where they had some sort of protection, into an institution where no one cared.

That landlady is a real smoothly at getting money out the pensioners and I know she running a business and not a charity but she holds back their money,pretending that she's helping them budget but I bet she just keeps it and the old timers forget about it . Many were smoking themselves to death anyway.

Nothing has changed.people are still unemployed,but machines can now do jobs better and faster than a human. 100years time with development of AI no-one will work and the government with have to pay everyone a universal living wage. There is much fear that the government is closing down the cash based benefit system but I think welfare system will still exist in some way in the future as there will be no need to work because of machines and computers running everthing.

This was 20 years ago, right in the middle of the Thatcher years, where some people prospered like never before. Sadly, others suffered. The vast majority of the unemployed wanted to work, there was not the jobs available. It wou;d be interesting to see them today and see how they managed. No doubt they eventually found work and so did their children. What does come across is the love that was in the house. That is a priceless gift.

Duckenfield saw everything from that control box and he didn't give orders to open the gates on the pens because he knew he was the one that gave the order to open Gate C which caused the surge. He panicked. He knew he had made a vital error. But he lied immediately and said it was the fans that broke open Gate C and he maintained that lie for years. Had he acted as soon as he saw the crushing I believe most of the departed would still be here. He should never have been in charge of this game. He had no experience.
