This application models an analog mixing console and effects rack in detail, providing the ability to make a huge number of feedback configurations with additional effects. By using this technique in the creative process, the sound designer can explore many different and special ways to create sound. Unsettling soundscapes perfect for sci-fi, dystopian and horror projects, like strange noises, disrupted signals, broken communication, buzzing drones, faulty machinery, futuristic tech sounds, and glitchy elements are some results of the No-Input Mixing technique. The downside of this technique, which can scare off beginners, is extreme unpredictability and instability, when the movement of any knob on the mixer can dramatically change the sound in the most unexpected way. But at the same time, this discover an endless space of experimentation and inspiration when creating new and unique sounds or live performance. NoInputMixer consists of a seven-channel mixer and an effects rack with eight slots. Each effect slot can be configured as an insert effect for a mixer channel or used with two send/return buses. Effects has an option for hi-res or lo-fi sound processing. Each mixer channel has its own algorithmic generator of different types of noise, which can be added to the feedback signal or used separately. The input selector switches between multiple points in the signal path to make different types of feedback loops or can be switched to an external input for any channel to use it as an effect processor. Also this application provides several additional options not found in usual mixers, such as preamp tube type and mode selection, op-amp type selection, adjustment of overload protection circuit, and other features that greatly expand the possibilities for experimenting with sound. The user interface can be presented in the form of a classic mixer, or in the form of complete control of a single channel. NoInputMixer is a universal application for iOS and macOS. It can work on iPhone and iPad as well as Mac / MacBook with M1 chip (and later). NoInputMixer works on iPhone and iPad standalone, as an Audio Unit or Inter-App Audio module, and supports Audiobus and Ableton Link. On MacOS, NoInputMixer can works both as a standalone application and as an Audio unit (AUv3) with DAWs and other hosts that support AUv3 plugins. All application features are available on iOS and macOS, including MIDI support (with a MIDI learn option) and audio unit parameters. NoInputMixer has a built-in detailed description of all parameters also available as PDF file on the application site. PDF Manual: drive.google.com/file/d/1mnv4724WnlsO4_CHMPnxlrzUzXLVhGRa/view

Hey Gavinski!! Love this app immensely, more than got our worth out of it ~ no hesitation purchase, but if you are in talks with the dev… we would sure like to see a few things - you are right on ui / very right… but also, an infinite undo… a dice with strength of different parameters or in/return/send separation… a possibility to create a back door input to modulate with a wav file or… maybe he could host auv3 inside to augment the onboard fx. 'this beloved' 😂. Classic FX CAN actually do weird. I did a few vids on it and one of them was focused on how exactly to push the boundaries with it. It still remains a bit vanilla compared to most Igor apps despite having the coolest looking UI of all them

This manual will be a lot easier to read, if you do get that craving, having watched this first. And there are a few interesting sections of the manual, especially the joke about Geiger counters!
Thank you Gavin. I feel that this app takes experumental music on ios to a new level. Possibly too early to say, but it seems to me to open the way to many new possibilities in sound. I missed the video's premiere as I went for an after work bike ride and then to the pub! I am looking forward to focusing on this app and navigating the new territory that it offers. Thanks again...
Great! Far better off doing a bike ride then heading down the pub, sounds like a great day. I'm glad that now I finally understand this app enough to start really digging in to see if there's gold in them there hills. I reckon there will be
OMG !!! Count me in please for this one, the NoInputMixer to travel in your crazy and so beautiful Space world Gav' In convalescence since 2 years now (you know what it is Gavin whith your eyes...), I am recovering and I have time now to investigate this one !... Again and again and again bravo and thankx for your hard work my friend !! 👍
I cannot read (now) cause of my ill, and hardly understand english (i'm a bad french Guy 😝) but I love your work, youre soft and so nice voice, and your sound and your music. Why you don't make some records ????? You would sell a lot of plates cd 💿 here!!! (And if not, I will buy a lot of yours 😂)
Other than the obvious choice of using this for its atmospheric potential, I imagine I would have fun creating crazy sounds from scratch then sampling those to play later either on a keyboard or electronic drum set. Thank you so much for the deep dive tutorial! So much more entertaining than trying to read the manual😂
Searching for some interesting sounds with this app looks like fun, but I would definitely need to do it when no one else is around as listening to the search would probably not be as enjoyable as doing the searching.
This is definitely one of those apps you start using without headphones on cranked speakers when you want to speed up your wife's impending divorce filing
Fantastic. I’ve been playing with no input mixers irl for over 20 years. I am deeply in favour of any AU instrument or effect on iOS that incorporates audio feedback! That said: I wonder what the advantage of using this app over setting up a feedback routing in AUM is, other than convenience, and the fact that Vasiliev makes awesome things in general. I would love to win a copy of NoInputMixer so I can find out. Thanks!
You maybe remember I’m not a big fan of apps that mangle or distort sounds. But this is different. It’s creating new sounds out of nothing, not just messing them up. Well, it’s creating new sounds, then messing them up, actually. But anyway, with this one you might just lured me over to the dark side. So I would very much like to try it out. And if I end up not liking it after all, I can always use it as an effects app. Right?
great overview as per usual Gavinski' ....im still getting used to what views are useful/preferred. The sounds it generates is awesome., the textures are wicked....so i've been using it as live sound generator for a playable synth , using Discord4 for midi to pitch duties with drambo midi to audio-gate as discord only pitch-shifts in latch mode. Such a well though out app, from the effects to the routings. Is there a way it insert an external signal into the mixer, so i can run a tape loop through the mixer to mangle it even more ? Cheers
I don't think you can directly send anything into the mixer channel itself no. You could always make a feature request? Email Igor, yeah, he might also be able to think of a workaround!
@@GavinskisTutorials that’ll be great as I was getting inspired by an overview of the hardware analog drum processor ‘ NOON’ by landscape, and would love to get some subtle LFO’s tweaking the mixer parameters, whilst jangling away with a live guitar or Ruismaker Noir. Cheers Gav’, I’ll definitely Email Igor.
@@GavinskisTutorials external input works….. when you load the input in an effects slot, then you can select ‘mix on’, plus select the signal source on the channel strip view.
It must be very difficult to program a feedback based synthesizer. I once saw/heard such a device in use in a concert. It was quite wild. This app is definitely very interesting.
It’s possible I’m too late for this giveaway, but I like Igor Vasiliev’s apps too much no to give it a try. Hopefully I’ll get lucky with No Input Mixer! Have a great weekend!!!

I reckon there will be
Cool new app for great inspirations ❤
Thank you for the insights
I bought it already. I think I’m going to be sending a lot of time with this.
Looking forward to hearing your first demo track!
I’m going to have to back through this. Hope you’re doing well!
This is wonderful.
Hard to believe on iOS.
Thanks
This will take me totally into experimental ways ❤
OMG !!! Count me in please for this one, the NoInputMixer to travel in your crazy and so beautiful Space world Gav'
In convalescence since 2 years now (you know what it is Gavin whith your eyes...), I am recovering and I have time now to investigate this one !...
Again and again and again bravo and thankx for your hard work my friend !! 👍
Hey Ben, god, that recovery is taking a long time. I wish you a speedy return to good health!
@@GavinskisTutorials oh merci beaucoup, t'es un chef 🙏🌼
Les doctors chirurgiens say in october 2021: he will dy in the night (or in the week)....
Ah ahahahah !!!!🤣
MUSIC and YOU Gavin, saved me
BUT i continued looking you and your vidéos ;-)
100000 Thanx Gav'
I cannot read (now) cause of my ill, and hardly understand english (i'm a bad french Guy 😝) but I love your work, youre soft and so nice voice, and your sound and your music.
Why you don't make some records ?????
You would sell a lot of plates cd 💿 here!!!
(And if not, I will buy a lot of yours 😂)
Hey, Gav! Great video! Thanks
Igor always comes up with the weirdest and interesting ideas.
Very helpful tutorial, thank you.
Never won a giveaway before, maybe this time? 😀
Definitely - exactly what I plan to do, make tons of sampled instruments from this
Great App. Just vid bit slow. Thanks for taking time to play.
This looks very interesting and very complex…
Would love the chance to win No Input Mixer!
✌🏻☺️
Thank you so much for making this!
Glad you liked it!
oh my… this is nice. definitely buying this if I don't win it first.
Such an interesting app and great tutorial!
Experimenting with an experimenter like Igor would be nice
Searching for some interesting sounds with this app looks like fun, but I would definitely need to do it when no one else is around as listening to the search would probably not be as enjoyable as doing the searching.
This is definitely one of those apps you start using without headphones on cranked speakers when you want to speed up your wife's impending divorce filing
Fantastic tutorial per usual 😊
Well you did a dedicated overview on this one
I’m in. Thanks, Gav
Very nice.Thank you!
Gav, as always, this is an excellent walkthrough for this relatively complex app. Please add my name to the drawing. Thanks! 😀
Great to see you! Hit me up on WhatsApp and let me know how things are going, have been thinking about you, cheers Dave!
Thanks!
That's a good question. I guess it's mostly a matter of convenience, as well as the fact that Igor's apps always seem to have top notch sound.
@@GavinskisTutorials For the record I did pick it up and it is absolutely worth it, top notch 👍
@grrdjf Most definitely!
Looks super handy!
Right?
The dark side, lol. Come my child, I think you'll like it here 👻
I would love to try this out
great overview as per usual Gavinski' ....im still getting used to what views are useful/preferred.
@pongtrometer he's very responsive!
@@GavinskisTutorials external input works….. when you load the input in an effects slot, then you can select ‘mix on’, plus select the signal source on the channel strip view.
Sounds crazy. I'm more traditional : ) My choice would be VintageRack
Thank you for the deep insight
BTW ..Subscribed long time ago.. and gave it a like ;) ;) ;)
Nice one!
damn this 🔥 is exatly what i wanted so good for experimental producers like me 👍the auv3 works perfect in ableton live 11
Spread the good word!
Thanks so much for this it’s really good
It’s cool for sure!
This is amazing!
The Mad scientist lives again!
It must be very difficult to program a feedback based synthesizer. I once saw/heard such a device in use in a concert. It was quite wild.
This app is definitely very interesting.
Must be difficult indeed, but Igor is the perfect man for that job, I reckon
It’s possible I’m too late for this giveaway, but I like Igor Vasiliev’s apps too much no to give it a try. Hopefully I’ll get lucky with No Input Mixer! Have a great weekend!!!
Too late, but yes it is great, go buy it!
Thanks for the demo. Sounds cool but a bit complex for me. I'd choose VIntageRack.
Yay this sounds awesome
Love it!
