Hi Ken Carol.I wonder what it would be like going round the TT course at 200 MPH think I would need a new clean pear of boxes lol, that’s a beautiful sculpture of joey Dunlop what a rider he was ,you must have done a lot of research on this TT course,I bet you was happy to find somewhere a little more sheltered the weather looked horrible but you are nice and cosy, great blog especially the TT course, well till next time take care keep safe, John 👏🇬🇧🥂🎨🤷♂️👀😜💜💤💤
Wow what a wet and windy night you had ,although when we had our caravan I loved the sound of the rain bouncing off the roof 😀 thank you for another great vlog 😀
Thanks for sharing another interesting vlog, specially the very fast speed on the misty TT Course !!! also the good mood during the bad weather conditions, not easy in such close quarters....Lol. Diana
So glad you visited joeys statue, he’s my all time TT hero , I’m glad to say I met him at the height of his career, in the late 80s early 90s….in my local public house, the most unassuming, quiet and genuinely humble person you could meet, he never changed.👍🇮🇲
Hello Ken / Carol. Anther great video shame the weather was not on your side when you went around the TT course the TT is on my list I always wanted to see Joey race and never did , when I go back to Ballymoney I always pop into his Bar at the old railway station and see his wife Linda sometimes she has a bike or 2 on display and the town hall has a whole area on Joey and his brother Robert dedicated to them and now I am sure for Roberts son William , the only one left to carry is Michael he is very fast and has won the TT 19 times putting him in 3rd place for all time winners, I really recommend watching Road the story of two sets of brothers its amazing it was on Netflix but I think its gone from there now. I will send you the trailer for it later . Look for forward to your next trip and travels , take care stay safe.
Hi Shaun. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. We have seen the film “Road”, it was part of our inspiration for wanting to drive around the TT course. It was so good we watched it again when we got home. So tragic to hear of William’s death after the film was made. We will have to visit Ballymoney one day and pay our respects. All the best to you ❤️
Hi guys Mik here again.Great video as usual, you have had a wonderful time in the isle Of Man. Anyone remember Jeff Duke and John Surtees, these guys are legendary TT Racers of the late 50’s early 60’s Good luck to both of you in future adventures, I’ll be watching
Ooo really enjoyed that TT route bit, had no idea previously what it looked like. You guys keep your spirits high whatever the weather and its very admirable. Loved the vid and all the series so far 👌
I really like your handy spice rack 19:19, especially when you sit down to your meals - it's so accessible. Also, I love the slate stone wall in the background 15:37 - I know they're all over the U.K. and people probably don't give it a second thought - I don't know I just love a good stone wall - the designs, craftsmanship and patience it took.😃
Thank you for the story of the TT (Tourist Trophy) Races - very interesting. Though, I can't imagine going around on a motorcycle at 135mph! I think the real drama of the day was when I thought we were going to lose you, Ken - when you didn't get your sausage roll 10:42. But I'm glad you soldiered thru it.😄💖
Hi Carol & Ken. Unsure how it has taken us this long to find your channel….. enjoyed the video and a look around some of the roads used for the TT races. Finally subscribed. Your red Nissan reminds us of our first camper; a red VW T6 that featured on our channel before we moved to a “modest” 6m Roller Team Motorhome. ATB Fran, Paul, Oliver and Alice.
Hi guy's i wouldn't want to go around the tt course on a motorbike. Joey Dunlop is from here in northern Ireland a much loved racer. I think holidays unsettle you a bit after you come home. Thank you for all this footage and sharing it good and bad. XX ❤️💙
We get 4 seasons in a day here on the IOM, all at the same time, it can be sunny and calm in Ramsey in the north and windy a wet in Port st Mary in the south, Misty in Laxey and the East, and cloudy and damp in Peel in the west ……always a challenge to work out where’s best to head.👍🇮🇲
I remember Ground Force building a viewing platform in someone’s garden along the course, hope you enjoyed your trip round the course. Really enjoy watching your adventures looking forward to your next adventures. x
I think you finally parked just below Meayll Circle opposite Cregneash; that is a Bronze Age Burial site, Ken. Ha,ha, I hope you weren't thinking of getting a cream tea at that building by the Chasms - you will be sorely disappointed! That weather is nothing compared to what it can be but I am glad that you relocated to a more sheltered spot.
Carol had originally thought we could get a cup of tea at The Chasms tearooms 😂 I think we got a much better night’s sleep down in Cregneash car park ☺️
Fun watching you driving the TT course. Can’t imagine how the bikes go so fast on all those twisty roads. Weather looked atrocious. Beautiful island though 😊🧙♂️
Spent many a happy hour on the beach in Port Erin in the mist! And in windy sunshine. In fact, there are certain days me and my mum call “Isle of Man” days when it’s sunny and windy! 😊❤️😊
@@LifeistooshortCK I am an early bird too. Carol is always cheerful on morning I think you two are great together and tour videos inspire me to go travelling in a campervan. Thank you for your comments and keep safe x
Another delightful lol at your adventures on The Isle of Man. Your videos always have a sense of comfort, fun, and coziness. Thanks for the take along! Mary
Hari OM Now that's the weather I am used to 85% of the time here by the Hutch!!! It's good to see that auto-camping is not all beaches and sunshine; indeed, beaches in the morning mist have a charm all their own. As do exposed hilltops in gale force and blatter!!! I might be inclined to think of heroes as those who surrender something of themselves in the service of others. Rocketing beyond safe limits all over an island doesn't quite fit that mould - thrill-seekers, nutcases, plain lunatics, maybe... YAM xx
Ever get the feeling the crows know something you do not, and are really just laughing at you? Carol will have "Buns of Steel" after holding blankets like that LOL. Reminds me of the fog in Halifax NS.
Know what you mean about the crows, the same with robins who always seem to follow you around. Carol will be incorporating that technique in her daily workout 🏋️♀️ 😂
Great video its always raining, nothing new. luv your meal you had. what if you don't find anywhere to sleep, what would you do if that ever happened. stay safe.
I think the buildings at the Chasms are old military ones (or more likely RAF or RN), from the war. they certainly look like it. The Island was littered with such things (in addition to internment camps), with 2 RAF airfields and the Fleet Air Arm at Ronaldsway. The RAF had a big radar set-up near Nyarbal, with huge aerials. You can still see many buildings, pillboxes etc around
Nice goin m8s. Good place Ile of Man, curious Flag but. Pity it was a bit terrible weather to visit The Cavens. In the late 80s I sailed a 13 plus foot Paper Tiger against a bloke in Ballarat, who had his Grandfather's peddle started Motor Cycle. He said he was told it went round the Ile of Man in that Race Circut, you showed, somewhere bout 1908-10. He got it goin. Did 16-17mph from memory. Good one! Keep up the good work. Stay vertical Eh!

Thanks for another lovely video. No speed limits out of town in the Isle of Man, which can be scary. How those motorcyclists cross Ballantyne Bridge at such speed is unbelievable. Love the sedate pace of your travels. We clocked 120 mph over Snaefell in a BMW Z4, the motorcyclists rode past at what must have been over 200mph. Give me a nice cup of tea and a sedate slice of cake anytime.
A poor weather video made slightly more fun by the TT course played back at fast speed or was it the GT NV 200 Ken ?. Good video and humour even with no sun this time.
