    Just found this video and as my partner is looking for a good tent I thought I would watch, even though it is 3 yrs old.

      Same currently considering the hydra 2 £120.00 I liked the look of the berghaus cheviot 2 but it now only comes in bright red so not for me.

    I know it’s an individual thing regarding the weight of tents, and where people want to camp. I’d rather have an extra kilo of tent weight, and be safe and warm. You can always lose a kilo or 2 with your cooking system, beer or other things we take that aren’t really a necessity. I used to take 2 or 3 cooking systems, but obviously only take one now. Though I do take a spare alcohol burner. We can all lose pack weight if needed.

    Compared to some other tents pricing, the Hydra could qualify as a budget tent. The Hydra appears solid with impressive specs, plus stealth. Thx.

    Hi, great review, was going to get the Hellvellyn 200, but as the Hydra has 5000hh on the fly sheet, and 7000 on the groundsheet, I'm going to get this now. Thanks very much. Good luck with your channel.Atb

    I have a vango banshee but it’s a 300 pro I think went for the 3 man tent for a bit more room , the bottom on that looks great and the shape , still to do a summit camp , 🏔 soon 🤞great video x

      Yes I had a banshee 200 for 6 days I was to tall for it so thought I would try one of the hydra 200s but I am also thinking next buy is banshee 300 or the onetrigris Trek tent. Looking forwards to getting up the lakedistrict and the Welsh mountains once lockdown is over.

    There's an eBay seller that currently has the Hydra's avail (new) for £112.50 - 2 left at time of posting this. Seems like a crazy cheap price!

    Does the hydra not come with a ground sheet?

    • @ferruccio4531
      @ferruccio4531 2 роки тому +1

      non ground sheet but you can buy some sturdy tarpaulin an cut it in the shape of the tent, you'll have an indestructible, waterproof, cheap ground sheet that will outlive any tent.

    The Vango tent is not premium

    • @danilo6680

      The price doesn’t make a tent premium. Just to clarify. But I’m sure that a smart guy like you already know that.
