I love the human and orc narrators for warcraft I and II. They make everything sound so important and meaningful, even a tutorial mission. About the cinematic looks especially bad when you compare it to the C&C remastered collection where they did a much better job of upscaling the cutscenes.
Yes, the narrator is great. Everything is so dramatic. I'm not sure why they upscaled the intro like this. It looks so nasty; just using the original would have been better.
@@TaxOwlbear My memory was a bit fuzzy. I remembered selecting only 1 unit :) One thing I do remember was modding the units back in the original. And that the units used the same base file just with different skins in game. IE if you changed the human catapult to have longer range the orc cata would do exactly the same.
There's some minor differences e.g. the Crossbowmen has more range than the Spearman, but yes, overall the sides are quite similar. The spells are a bit more distinct, however.
There's something charming about the old RTS games that you had to either build roads or on slabs of pavement.
Awesome! I was hoping to see an LP of this. I like the sprite work
It certainly looks better than the intro FMV, he.
Love this!

@@TaxOwlbear I agree, blizzard used the AI upsclaer very poorly.
WAIT you can select and order more than 1 unit!
Im a bit surprised they upgraded that.
Even in the original, you can select up to four units. They probably upped this to make the controls more similar to WC2 (the Battlenet Edition).

@@TaxOwlbear Yeah IIRC the spells used different text files in the original but the units back then had mostly the same files.
