I shed tears for this documentary of Atom. I am a jail officer for 13 years now and this is the reality of our jails. Di lang naman tungkulin ng gobyerno ang pagtataguyod sa mga jails natin at pag-aalaga sa mga PDL. kailangan din ng mga PDL namin na mawala yung Stigma ng komunidad sa mga Persons Deprived of Liberty namin. I am a unit welfare and development officer sa Isang jail dito sa Mindanao...ang daming bumabalik sa mga piitan natin dahil Sabi nila parang wala na Silang puwang sa labas. Hinuhusgahan agad sila dahil dumaan daw sa pagiging priso. Saludo ako sayo sir doc Henry...sa mga jail doctors, sa mga kasamahan Kung nurses na nagsisilbi sa bureau namin. Sana buksan na ng karamihan sa atin ang panghuhusga sa mga PDL...Tao rin sila...and they always talk to God more often than most of us..

Sabi nga lahat tayo ay nagkakamali sa ibat-ibang dahilan, pero sana maging bukas tayo na magbigay ng pang-unawa kahit ito'y magsimula sa maliit na pamamaraan. Upang ang pag-asa na mag bagong buhay ay manatili sa atin, una sa pagpapatawad ng ating Diyos sa ating pagkakamali, pagtanggap ng pamilya, at sa makatarungang hustiya ng ating lipunan sa anumang sala na kanilang nagawa na pinagsisihan at pinagdusahan sa pagkapihit upang makapagsimula ng bagong buhay. Sana maging bukas tayo, sabi nga ni Doc Henry, sino pa ang tutulong sa kanila kung di sa atin magsisimula.
Stereotyping! In my honest opinion, sakit natin ito as Filipinos. When will it end? Who knows. But one thing is for sure: it is like kif flows within the blood vessels that we stereotype others who do not think or act as we do. That also means na wala tyu respect sa kanila. Not because you were a prisoner means masama ka nang tao. Unless of course you are a murderer, a rapist or some other perpetrator of violent crimes.
I agree that drug dealers need to be disposed off. But WE should look at the users lalo na mga kabataan na nag eexperiment lang. Perhaps we should do something else other than kulong agad for God knows how long. It also impacts the jail population for nothing.
This doctor deserves a million respect. We salute you Doc. God bless you even more 😊

For me, when it comes to documentaries, NO ONE will beat Sir Richard Attenborough. Okay, too far-fetched as Sir Richard is the epitome of documentaries. But in reality I vote for Jay Taruc with Howie Severino right behind his heels. Atom is surely up and coming and maybe, may just surpass Jay Taruc.

While I watching this documentary I felt so sad and my tears easily drop. As a future nurse, I just want to help all the people who needs care specially when they are not okay. Now that I watched this documentary, my heart was fully determined to pursue my dream to be able to help all the people who suffer to their different illness and treat them very well because, we are all human and we need to be pair in everything in this world. Anyway, I trully admire the Doctor who gave his very best to their fellow Filipino. I hope that God gave them a strength to fight to their health problems and give them a pair justice and have freedom if necessary because, they are already a senior citizen.

I've was a volunteer before and I've tried to do an outreach in jails like that several times... I must say that these people are never different to all of us.. We are all sinners in the eyes of God, yet His amazing GRACE is abundant for all of us. We should extend the unconditional love and Grace and acceptance to them just like how the LORD Jesus Christ died for them on the cross..♥️
