Learning that the king crab is not actually a crab just made me realize something about the Krabby line. Jack said that the King Crab is not actually a crab. However, Kingler is based on the King Crab. On top of this, information from a video about Krabby made by Lockstin revealed that its name comes from the word "krab", which in restaurants and grocery stores was meant to mean that the crab was not actually crab, but just meant to taste like it. From this I can determine that the Krabby evolution line is already not a crab!
Most crabs actually aren’t real crabs, a lot of them just evolve into crabs. It’s like a whole thing, there’s just tons of crabs that aren’t real crabs but evolved all the same characteristics.
Hecc I just commented on this, I didn't realize this was already here. Either way, yeh, Krabby be likely imitation krab dish, not a crab. So, we have Krabby line which are just spider-crabs (not true crabs). The Paras line, which are cicada nymphs, even if they look like crabs. The Corphish line which are more akin to Crawfish and Lobsters. Dwebble line, which are hermit crabs (also not true crabs). The Crabrawler line which are coconut crabs to yeti crabs (which are bigger hermits). And now we have Klawf, a land crab... though its spelt with a K like Krabby, hmmm.

I was kind of sad how no one mentioned Clair's Impotter shiny had the color scheme of a possum. I don't know if it was intended since no one mentioned it but I thought it was really cute!
I love how mudsdile looks very grass themed, as players first encountering it would probably mistake it for one, only to discover it 4x resists fire, and does not take super effective damage from flying, which funnily enough is convergent with another pokemon, sudowoodo. Personally I don't like it having the illusion ability, but it does make some sense. To be honest it could use with a signature ability of it's own, for example something like having heightened evasion in grassy terrain and swamps created by water pledge+grass pledge
I feel like coming back to some of these to give them a new Evo/pre-evo would be nice specially for Snackoo, with an Evo to serve as the togekiss part of this line, Raveler, with both an Evo and pre-evo for the Golem and Geodude parts respectively, and Mudsdile, on account of a scrapped pre-evo concept being mentioned. Perhaps something to be for later projects if any of you all feel like it?
A cool idea for Turtlugg (at least to me) would have been that whatever kind of mine it had made it's home and took rocks from, it's shell would have took on that mineral color. Only the area where the purple is located. But it is a cool ass concept regardless.
I think an interesting prompt for a future one of these could be “multiple creatures as one Pokémon”, in the style of Kangaskhan, Falinks and the newest Tandemaus/Maushold. It’d be very interesting to see different takes on that kind of concept, since they’re often somewhat divisive.
Claire’s art was an extremely welcome addition to the more polished and modern art! I also love how snackoo looks like filo from rising of the shield hero
Krabish looks like it's evolved to have a similar shell to that of Heracross and I'm surprised no one mentioned that because even if it wasn't attentional it still feels connected to other species in the way it developped and evolved.
My kids and I love this channel. I used to do Pokemon commissions for people and my kids now love to draw Pokemon too, so this channel is right up our alley
I was so excited to see Claire!! I absolutely love her rendering and that her Pokemon were unique and fun while not going incredibly out there in terms of inspiration! Krabbish and Vladikrab are so fun; I love bug types and almost anything that's an invertebrate, so Jack's designs are almost always up my alley
This is one of my favorite series to watch on UA-cam by far. I love seeing how everyone you bring on to join you in these videos create such amazingly different designs based on the same prompt. Keep up the good work!

Whenever you upload a new one of these, it makes me go back and rewatch all the previous ones. Such good art vibes.
A cool idea for Turtlugg (at least to me) would have been that whatever kind of mine it had made it's home and took rocks from, it's shell would have took on that mineral color. Only the area where the purple is located. But it is a cool ass concept regardless.
Kinda reminds me of Sawsbuck. Where depending on which fawn you have, you get a different seasonal form. So maybe it can have that similar concept.
I think an interesting prompt for a future one of these could be “multiple creatures as one Pokémon”, in the style of Kangaskhan, Falinks and the newest Tandemaus/Maushold.
It’d be very interesting to see different takes on that kind of concept, since they’re often somewhat divisive.
i see snackoo being the next bane of James's existence lol
Really love this series! Seeing different artstyles from different fakemon artists is really amazing and interesting.
Claire’s art was an extremely welcome addition to the more polished and modern art! I also love how snackoo looks like filo from rising of the shield hero
Vladikrab would be one of my favorite bug types if it were official. S+ tier design
Krabish looks like it's evolved to have a similar shell to that of Heracross and I'm surprised no one mentioned that because even if it wasn't attentional it still feels connected to other species in the way it developped and evolved.
Turtlugg is actually great, I love all the thought put into it, and the design is so appealing as well!
the way you guys make me want this to be real... I love it so hard I want to cry!!!
Mudsdile is so cool! I’ve always wanted a Kelpie-themed Pokemon, and crocs are always awesome. Would definitely want it on my team.
Huge congratulations to all of you. Amazing concepts and execution
I love how Vladikrab’s whole body kinda looks like a demented mantis head, leading even more into the bug typing
Awesome work guys, congrats DeadBedSpread!
My kids and I love this channel. I used to do Pokemon commissions for people and my kids now love to draw Pokemon too, so this channel is right up our alley
This is honestly my favorite series of yours to date, I can't wait to see the next one :D :D :D
I love these videos where there are different ideas on the same prompt. Keep it up
I was so excited to see Claire!!
The Bergmite/Avalugg ones are VERY similar to the Delta Species from Pokémon Insurgence
I was just thinking that!
Since you love Pokémon music, I think a lot of people wanna hear your opinion on a bunch of different categories, like best route theme, city theme, champion theme, etc. Your Pokémon music videos are some of faves, so keep it up, love your vids Ron ❤
This series is ALWAYS good.
Ron is so good at involving pokémon typing within the lore, you just have to go "ooohhhh!! That's so cool!!" 😄🤩
