@MarkCup70 Hi Mark. I've got a 2.9 Caman and have been browsing the manual for want of anything better to do tonight. Have you considered that your missfire might be a problem with your catalytic converter? Page 93 of my driver's manual has a few bits of information about the yellow engine warning light. Apparently the emission control system can be damaged if driven hard with the light on which I noticed you did at an auto solo earlier in the year. Could possibly be something to do with this area rather than the more obvious plugs leads valves etc. My drivers manual is for my car obviously so it might be a different page in yours. It comes under "Engine Check ( Emission Control)" though. Might be worth a read if you haven't explored this possibility yet 👍. Hope to see it back soon.
Hi Mark! We haven't seen an upload for a while, I hope you're doing ok, cheers pal!

Good track? Decent run offs? Danger level??
How many miles has the cayman clocked up now mark?
Last time I saw it out it was 79k or so. That was 3 months ago though.
Yeah, not much more since then, only just over 80k. I've got an elusive misfire to thank for that. I'm hoping normal service will be resumed soon 😁
Could be a vario cam solenoid, there is 1 on each bank of cylinders next to the coil packs.
@@MarkCup70I had a small misfire on my 987 boxster around 1500rpm changed all the plugs and coil packs and it’s gone anyway!
Mines way beyond that simple a fix unfortunately. It's in good hands for now but it's taking a while to find the source!
