The video is not good but them playing ball in. The court and having fun thats what i love thats the best part n her dancing n they all having fun Amen
Blank Channel It doesn't, I was asking a question that wasn't even serious.Ever since Google plus I've seen multiple people (certain ones) on numerous vids,so I thought why not ask a question just to ask. Why are YOU so concerned about her well being, why does IT MATTER to you?
Old girl Monie Love flow is raw as hell. Whatever the topic she is rhyming about u know she going to come with a hard and swift delivery. Thatz what makes/made her so ill.And that hook although basic is sick too.
Monie is from England and she rapped like she was born and raised in NY!! She was a very good rapper back in the day..too bad she only had a few tracks out there in the early 90's..Miss u Monie!!
please school me i was born in 88 and my sister always talk about monie love and other artists but today i was watching dish nation and monie was on she was talking and she has a British accent i never knew that
Mr. VAINGLORIOUS IZ not a SISSY ; Now believe it or not this era had 3 females that was hard to pick as who was better. MC LYTE MONNIE LOVE OR QUEEN LATIEFA
I remember having this cassette and rewinding it over and over again so I could learn the whole song. It took me a few day to learn to rap as fast as she did in this song. I haven't heard it in about 20 years, and I still know every word! LOL. I think I just impressed both of my teenagers!! 😂😂
It was my internship at Betsy Johnson when I introduced her and the people in the workroom too the music of Queen Latifah, Neneh Cherry, and Monie Love, and the people said yes we like. One of the many, oh so many, important women in hip hop who deserves her place of honor.
Back when true hip hop was worth listening to because it was just as fun & entertaining as it was delivering strong positive vibes and educating us at the same damn time.
@DLCOrganizationAt the time-'89/90/91 I was ChrysalisUK/Cooltempo Aust. Label manager & responsible for Monie Love( also Adeva & Paul Simpson) releases. All singles & album were released & had great support from Clubs,TV & nat. radio Triple J. Think Grandpa's Party even charted well. We really believed and promoted. Vids were great & came from UK. Even had radio dj ready to do interview in UK for Triple J special but Monie about to have baby. Now can't get album on Amazon-2 dear. So here I am. X
Always LOVE and enjoyed this very smooth classic hip hop song and video to its core. I was in 8th grade when it came out in 1990. Oh...the memories!! I always like the dancing from Monie and those 3 dancers right behind her. All 4 was killing it with those dance moves. If you notice...they were dancing with the music and beat!! That's my type of dancing and how you dance with the music
Love this!! I would go places and older people would bust out and rap this hook to me and I had never heard the song. Finally I hear it and I love. My new them song 🥰
I love Konie she is beautiful , smooth on the lyrics and unforgettable.Colorful music video. Makes me happy. Love and many of god's blessings always.🙏💘💯
I feel like a kid all over again! Man, those were the days. The funny thing is I still find myself saying. Monie in the middle. Go MO MO MO Monie in the middle! Gotta love it!!!
Wow. The memories. When hip hop was just plain FUN, rap videos ruled, artists were orginal, different and sometimes intelligent and insightful. Monie had a sweetness bout her. She wasnt tryin 2 be a guy. She was just herself and had a nice flow. Bring back 90s Hip Hop!!
Love love love Monie...since she came on the Brit scene, always wondered what she was doing. Really glad she is a success in the States, one of the best with no scandal attached...
This was my jam back in eary-to-late 1990! I wonder what Monie Love is doing these days?! The last I heard about her, she was DJ here in Philly on 100.3 The Beat, after that, she sorta disappeared, at least from Philadelphia radio. This song and "Ladies First" w/ Queen Latifah were my jams back in the day!
The dopest MCs all were interviewed up in the books named *HOW TO RAP* and *HOW TO RAP 2*. Everybody from Mobb Deep to Hieroglyphics to Pharcyde, to Kool G Rap, Chuck D, Black Moon, and Big Daddy Kane were interviewed, and others.
Still oone of my favorites of the time. Played it constantly on my cassette player. Though she was rasied in the UK and came back and forth I still consider this East coast rap thought a little bubble gummy. When we talk female rappers she is still my favorite!! So underrated.
Classic! Just heard her on Sirius XM, was wondering where she went, she was a morning here on a local Philly station about 10 years ago, then left. I forgot she's English, has a British accent.
The girl on the hook is Leshaun formerly known as Almond Joy who appeared on L.L. Cool J's "Doin it" studio version but not in the video due to her pregnancy
I was like 6 years old when this was on the radio..but I remember this song. Lol. However, it's a girl by the name of Nitty Scott who puts me in the mind of Monie. Look her up! She is what should be played on the radio..!
She never gets the credit she deserves in hip hop
Isaiah Luciano Unsung
Isaiah Luciano she stopped too soon!
to busy trying to be American thats why
The video is not good but them playing ball in. The court and having fun thats what i love thats the best part n her dancing n they all having fun Amen
What for having one song about high school drama then immediately falling off? 😂 I like the song too but chill
Back when Hip-Hop was REAL!

Blank Channel It doesn't, I was asking a question that wasn't even serious.Ever since Google plus I've seen multiple people (certain ones) on numerous vids,so I thought why not ask a question just to ask. Why are YOU so concerned about her well being, why does IT MATTER to you?
@@blankchannel7656 not to ask a stupid question but what year did this come out?
Absolutely! That BEAT! If you don’t feel it moving through you, you must be missing it.

It was my internship at Betsy Johnson when I introduced her and the people in the workroom too the music of Queen Latifah, Neneh Cherry, and Monie Love, and the people said yes we like. One of the many, oh so many, important women in hip hop who deserves her place of honor.

This record really stands the test of time. Go Monie! (Fingers crossed for an 80s BritRap tour, like Madness, Spandau and Culture Club do these days)
Still oone of my favorites of the time. Played it constantly on my cassette player. Though she was rasied in the UK and came back and forth I still consider this East coast rap thought a little bubble gummy. When we talk female rappers she is still my favorite!! So underrated.
