There is arguable another "Falchion" mention in FE8. In Eirika and Saleh's support conversation, Saleh mentions how Caer Pelyn's ancient heroes wielded "a narrow sword made from a fang gifted to her by the dragonkin". It can also be argued that Sigurd/Selpih's Tyrfing is actually the Archanean Falchion since they are both holy swords meant to defeat dragons that can only be wielded by certain members of a blue-haired hero's blood line. I also think that it is mentioned somewhere that the Tyrfing was made from a dragon's fang, but I could be misremembering.
Those might not be a Falchion, as they might be made from the fangs of a different dragon. In Warriors the main character's personal weapons (they are male and female twins, so they have one each) were made from the fangs of a DIFFERENT dragon, one that previously sealed an evil dragon but since finished its buisness in their world and moved on to the next one (note: According to Warriors, instead of dying of old age dragons simply move on to the next one when their current world holds no interest for them - and since the "evil" dragons of the series want to rule or conquer the world they never lose interest and thus don't move on or die of old age).

Falchion has actually appeared twice in the Monster Hunter series. Tyrfing cannot be the same blade as Falchion due to complicated lore reasons (12 dragons giving out 12 weapons at Dahna and Naga already gives away the book) but it could possibly be the fang of another divine dragon (the one who gave it to Baldr). Would explain why it's more fragile, too, I guess? Since Naga's kind of special.

I said this previously, Tyrfing was given to Baldr by I forgot the name, a godlike entity. Naga is also a different figure in FE4 than she is in the rest of FE
There are a few different wind tomes that have the name Calibur in them. You could also look at all the lances capable of effectively slaying a living creature.
I just want to say Dragalia Lost included the fire emblem events in the compendium so you can get Alphonse and Sharena for free if you play them right now and there is also a falchion as a weapon skin in the game alongside the other feh weapons
Marth is actually able to use weapon skins and doesn't have any animations that have a set weapon skin. However, he DOES use it in his appearaces as an enemy in Marth's Trial. That said, CHROM also appears in the second event, and he of course has his own Falchion, which is used both as a fixed weapon skin for playable Chrom, and for his appearance as an enemy in Chrom's Trial. Finally, it should be noted that Marth's first Skill, Flickering Flames, can be set as a Shared Skill and used by everyone else, and when anyone else uses it they temporarily equip an illusion of Falchion, which is standard procedure for Shared Skills.
Chrom's Falchion is pretty decent in Awakening Lunatic against all the Wyvern Riders in the Plegia arc if you're not abusing the water trick into Robin sweep.
Practicaly falchion is rare but still affordable weapon for some of largest countries, especially under dragons or their successors controls. It just not often described what exactly required to create them
I think there are three. Alm's Falchion, Archanea's Falchion, and the Parallel Falchion. The Binding Blade looks like a "Falchion" (the legendary sword, not the sword design), specifically, it looks like Alm's Falchion. But I'm pretty sure they're separate, because none of the Falchions shoot fire.
I don't think Naga's teeth would disappear in Awakening era since Awakening is pretty much around 2,000 years after Mystery of the Emblem. She might have got her teeth grown back years later like ours.
There are technically three "canon" Falchions; Valentia Falchion Archanea Falchion (the same one Lucina and Chrom would later use) Nagi's backup Falchion (the weakest of the three)
Didn't you also forget about Chrom in Dragalia Lost? That's another Falschion and also both Chrom and Lucina are guest characters in Project X Zone so that's another 2 which brings the total number (at the time) to 48.
there's also an enemy in xenoblade 2 callaed falchion, could just be a reference to the irl sword but it's a really late game enemy that's part of the evil religious organisation so there could be more than that (the enemy also happens to be titan type, which in that game is the closest you can get to dragons)
I suppose in the cannon there should only be three Falchions. Alm’s Falchion was the first made according to the lore. Marth and Chrom’s Falchion are the same sword but passed down through the generations over thousands of years. Lucina’s Falchion is also the same blade passed onto her from Chrom, but she technically causes an identical and wholly separate duplicate to be made when she travels back to Chrom’s time. So in the lore of FE Awakening there should be three Falchions, the two we get to use being Chrom’s and Lucina’s. Alm’s Falchion should still be around somewhere out there in the world, likely in continent of Valentia or what is now ‘Valm.’
6:37 now where have I seen that screenshot before… …oh, right. We were busy throwing that run, weren’t we 11:08 Wait, there was official FE body pillow merch…???
I now have a mental image of Chrom and Lucina getting summoned from Project X Zone 2 to FEH and getting confused over the Norse references after they were just hanging around with a Valkyrie
This video hurts me because you make it sound like these are all completely separate copies of the same weapon within the world of Fire Emblem when really it's like 2 swords represented differently, modified, or in FEH's case non-canon variants completely made up to avoid confusion within an archetype. It's like saying "How many Marios are there" and treating every game Mario is in like it's a different Mario 😅 Fun video still though. I didn't realize how many places the Falchion had been used within the games. The context misdirection irks me, but this was interesting 👍
Honestly, what Naga did to Duma and Mila was metal as fuck and a level of disrespect I can't help but respect in doing. "Yeah here's the sword you can run yourselves through whenever you want."
Archanea's got reforged multiple times(known), as it is said that while the blade lasts forever and self repairs, the handle breaks due to age, damage or misuse. Valentia's more likely became the Mila Tree, where both Duma and Mila finally found their rest. The Mila Tree is indeed, located in the Valentian continent, and towers everything. I can safely assume Alm laid the blade to rest at the same location, with the blade being the tree's seed. Lucina's Falchion, also known as the Parallel Falchion, is a paradox in itself as it shouldn't exist anymore after Awakening. It's the Archanean one but from an alternate timeline, and not at peak power due to an incomplete ritual. The Future Past DLC is a mess so i won't bother with it.

@@alexstewart9592 everyone should try to play the FEH OCs in an action game before it shuts down
"Raid: Shadow Legends is a game..."
The pause got me.
I'm very sure that naga can grow back her fangs. Like sharks
I can’t believe an FE UA-camr has actually gotten a sponsor
Also this was a fun video!
Can we have an F in the chat for Naga's extreme toothache?
best raid ad, finally someone who understands gamer language
1:25 oh thats fucking hilarious. I never thought about the lore that way. Lmfao
I just love how Excelblem describe the mechanic of the game and how "x" character works, simple yet very important fact to consider.
It just not often described what exactly required to create them
that had to be the best raid sponsor segment id ever seen
yooo got an sponsor?! Nice. Good for you man.
there's so many of them I think there's four of them
The word "falchion" hit semantic satiation for me about halfway through this video... anyone else?
So what I am understanding from this is that Naga is missing a whole lot of teeth.
There's a theory about why it shoots fire. It has to do with the assumption that Roy is part dragon
I always fought Tyrfing was a falchion of a non-naga divine dragon, also fe8 has a falchion easter egg in the Nada Kuya myth.
I have recently played final fantasy 1, and there was a falchion in the game too, just thought it was worth mentioning
That sponsor shoutout is really good
I've never imagined Excelblem to get sponsored
Falchion masking tape?? wild. Great research done! especially with the Kirby one lol
One and Alphonse just has a few portals open and switches them between worlds
Falchion, so called because it isn’t a falchion.
Ironically, this is the first Raid sponsorship I haven't immediately skipped
I don't think Naga's teeth would disappear in Awakening era since Awakening is pretty much around 2,000 years after Mystery of the Emblem. She might have got her teeth grown back years later like ours.
2:37 Damn I didn't know Fire Emblem had a crossover with Raid: Shadow Legends
The raid shadow legends ad almost made me crash from laughing
There are technically three "canon" Falchions;
Valentia Falchion
Archanea Falchion (the same one Lucina and Chrom would later use)
Nagi's backup Falchion (the weakest of the three)
Didn't you also forget about Chrom in Dragalia Lost? That's another Falschion and also both Chrom and Lucina are guest characters in Project X Zone so that's another 2 which brings the total number (at the time) to 48.
Let's go, my mans gettin' finally the sponsors
there's also an enemy in xenoblade 2 callaed falchion, could just be a reference to the irl sword but it's a really late game enemy that's part of the evil religious organisation so there could be more than that (the enemy also happens to be titan type, which in that game is the closest you can get to dragons)
Bit of a stretch, xenoblade is notorious for unique monsters having just random words for names
actually that's just a regular enemy
Malicious Dimitri and Holy Lancer Efrain be like
@@ivanlagayacrus1891 Territorial Rotbart moment
It comes from the same word for a type of medieval sword, so its just a coincidence
calling code name steam "a crossover game featuring many characters" is perhaps the most technically-correct statement I've heard in a while
3:57 Alm is wielding the Royal Sword, not the Falchion in both the cover of the game and the screenshot used, lmao
2:53 Yoooooo Donkey Kong Rises???
>body pillow
Oh i think the falchion we see on body pillows would be a different kind of sword. Ha ha ha. ha. ha. ha.
6:37 now where have I seen that screenshot before…
…oh, right. We were busy throwing that run, weren’t we
11:08 Wait, there was official FE body pillow merch…???
I want to know how many Falchion appearances in Body Pillows NOW
I now have a mental image of Chrom and Lucina getting summoned from Project X Zone 2 to FEH and getting confused over the Norse references after they were just hanging around with a Valkyrie
Great vid! I'd like to see more "pointless" trivia ;)
As an ad, you are Raid Shadow Legends
The Death Knight lives!… in Raid Shadow Legends. Gratz on the sponsor
List is invalid for not including the Fire Emblem™ masking Tape, the most important source of cannon Fire Emblem lore
You forgot that kirby can wield the falchion in super smash bros
Theres also monster hunter generations (3ds) and generations ultimate (switch) which both have a Marth and lucina event armor and falchion
Chrom is also in Dragalia Lost
Chrom: Marth, where did you get that blade? There's only one of those in the world.
Lucina: Clearly someone doesn't know Fire Emblem lore.
This video hurts me because you make it sound like these are all completely separate copies of the same weapon within the world of Fire Emblem when really it's like 2 swords represented differently, modified, or in FEH's case non-canon variants completely made up to avoid confusion within an archetype. It's like saying "How many Marios are there" and treating every game Mario is in like it's a different Mario 😅
Fun video still though. I didn't realize how many places the Falchion had been used within the games. The context misdirection irks me, but this was interesting 👍
The Liberation (aka Jagen Sword) LOOKS like a Falchion but doesnt really function like one with no heal and effective damage
"and on a completely unrelated note... RAID SHADOW LEGENDS"
lmfao this guy is so based
Honestly, what Naga did to Duma and Mila was metal as fuck and a level of disrespect I can't help but respect in doing. "Yeah here's the sword you can run yourselves through whenever you want."
Shout out for someone remembering Project X Zone exists and got a sequel!🎉
Did anyone else call the Falchion (Fal Chee Awn) when they were a kid and didn't know how English worked?
I never expected to see Raid Shadow Legends here
Bro did not wanna do that ad
