You know overall I've been mostly impressed with the ships we've been getting from Eaglemoss. Especially this one. Now I'd love if they'd pick up the Babylon 5 license. a B5 Station this size or larger would be awesome and who could forget the Baylon 5 ship designs. Membari cruisers, Narn warships, Shadow vessels, and the Cobras, and all the capital and explorer ships from the Earth Alliance.
This is one of the 5 ships I recently started my Eaglemoss collection with and agree this model is well done and a great addition to the collection. Seeing this on screen for the first time in Search for Spock was amazing! I watch & rewatch your videos on the subject I'm considering purchasing at the time before I make the final decision. Thanks for all the hard work and great videos, it is an invaluable asset!
I didn't see that this had come back in and it's gone again. What's the point in having set the reminders on the site if they don't email you when stuff comes back in?
Thanks for your review Damien, It's a YES, just because i want a Spacedock since almost 25 years.... Good sculpt and decent paintjob. Pity for the seamline on the sphere, i think things could have been done differently to hide it. Very clever stand.
Got it the first time around. One or two of the upper antennae were a little gammy, however it appears that the aztec patterning on the rerelease seems to be a few shades darker this time around.
Understandably despite their best oöeffort thisbmoddel does not capture the majesty of the original screen version. Earth spacedock looks timeless and as massive as it should be. This moddel is still good for what is possibe within reason though.
I don't know how you can recreate that with a mere model. Spacedock wasn't just an orbital office complex. Nor just an enclosed design and assembly line. It was home port for numerous famous Stafleet vessels and numerous Federation starships. No model of this scale could truly symbolize that kind of activity and prominence. It could, however, stimulate the imagination and creativity. It is a direct contrast to the Death Star, a symbol and means terror and destruction.
This one failed hard for me . Expectations I suppose . But the model is just not long enough , nor are the docking bay doors big enough , nor are there enough antennas on the top or bottom . It's also one of the many items that could have used a base that can tilt the items slightly . All in all , this just looked like something in the early prototype stage that was approved for prime time . Save your money for better things .
Come on now they need to make a lamp version of that! It's very nice indeed as it is.

Added this beauty to my collection in November 2020, along with several from the Discovery and BSG series. Absolutely LOVE this model.

I hate the stands. I'd have made it connect directly up into it.
For what you pay for these things the quality control is really diminishing.
