This is amazing!!! I love Tom Petty and Heartbreakers and absolutely love Eddie and Pearl Jam!! Eddie did incredible job singing with Tom, thank you for sharing this awesome video 😊💓🤘✌️
My favorite song by Tom!! Knew him in Van Nuy;s when he was trying to break into the scene. Miss Stan Lynch as a fellow drummer. He was a damn good drummer and dude.
Imagine you're Benmount. Every time he plays that solo you can tell he's feeling that he of all the guitarists on the planet created that solo in that song.
Oh damn. 4 years ago I couldn't decide whether or not to buy the tickets. I didn't really have money to spent on it :( Seeing Tom invite Eddy onto the stage makes me feel like an idiot. Reminder to self: If Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers are ever near again I will spent the money!!!!!
Yes it was. A joint doesn't flare up to an oragne flame. Also he doesn't even hold the smoke in.... A hardcore stoner like Tom Petty would never get high taking such small quick hits.
Steve Ferrone is an amazing drummer but he doesn't play well to the old TPATHB's material. It really sounds like he's rushing during the guitar solo. I still wish Stanley was on drums!
I definitely hear what you heard, but it's not Steve rushing... Stan was known for playing on the backside of the beat which gave Tom's songs that bit of a dragging feel to them. Steve plays on the beat. So he's not rushing per say. He's playing dead on time, which feels rushed because Stan played in such a unique way...
I miss Tom so much.......
We (the Dutch) had been waiting for 25 years on Tom Petty's heartbreakers. Great concert!

Absolutely, fan-damn-tastic!!
Magic.....just magic : )
Eddie sounds great....I really think Eddie is one of the most underrated singers of all time..
It's stuff like this that continue to make me believe that EV is the greatest rock singer out there-he can make anything sound even better!
This is what I think of when I think of music. You can't really explain it you just have to "get it.". These guys get it.
I was there!
for me - Eddie is like Steve Winwood - untouchable - so good it's unbelievable .
Totoally 100% Richard. My 2 favourite legends ever.
Best there is, best there was, best there ever will be

Nothing by Tom Petty is easy to cover.... btw, this is like two giants colliding. Awesome.

Great show! Love how he takes a quick toke on that joint at 0:15. True and beautifull Rock'n'Rolll, all that!! Thanks for sharing. :)

Yeah yeah the waiting is the hardest part indeed.
Going to Pearl Jam tonight and tomorrow night.
Yeah yeah
Q: what does Eddie Vedder do when he gets a night off between Pearl Jam gigs ?
A: he jumps on stage with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers !
Yes it was. A joint doesn't flare up to an oragne flame. Also he doesn't even hold the smoke in.... A hardcore stoner like Tom Petty would never get high taking such small quick hits.
Listen to Petty´s version on "Pack up the Plantation". Vedder/Pearl Jam are parenthtical in comparison to T.P. & the Heartbreakers.
Amazing seats. Was this press row? Thx for sharing!
not necessarily. because as you probably know, we put tobacco in our joints.......(here in europe)
I have heard Tom and Eddie do this song together and this is not the best. It's good but I have heard better. And the better has been done in the USA!
0:15 was a cigarette? Anwser me plz
eddies on my facebook page
0:15 that wasent a cigarette
did tom find his stolen guitars?
Doesn't compare to Denver '06 version.
Aw Tom....why did you start smoking again? :(

Why? you spoil good weed that way. LOLOLOL but we do roll blunts in a cigar wrapper.
I like Pearl Jam, it's just ironic for an atheist to sing that first line.
