Legend at both Coventry City and Fulham FCs, real innovator for the game and for sports broadcasting. The two clubs meet on 2/10/21 for the first time since 1968. We will come together and remember him. RIP Jimmy and PUSB.
How on Earth has Jimmy Hill not been knighted? More than most, he has been a remarkable influence on football, not just directly in England but indirectly all over the world (three points for a win). Player, coach, manager, director, chairman, broadcaster, pundit, union boss, official, all-round innovator - there is nothing this footballing polymath is bad at. Also able to laugh at himself and recognise that the game is always evolving. Arise Sir Jimmy, a true legend.
It seems quite cruel now, laughing at poor old Jimmy, given that he's suffering from Alzheimer's and will probably see out his days in a nursing home. Love him or loathe him, he's a legend of the game for what he achieved on and off the pitch.
If anyone has the Phoenix From the Flames where the man in '70s clothing runs on to paint the penalty spot during a match please can they post it, I'd love to see that again
Jimmy Hill was pissed on this (as he said, he had come from a sportsmans dinner), and he was an advocate of the long ball game somewhere along the line so they tried to catch him out with the short passing game questions. Legendary!
The whole show was based on Badiel and Skinner ripping into guests, and the more seriously the guests took themselves, the more they did it. The tension was created by the fact that Hill had just parted ways with the BBC, and he dug himself deeper and deeper in it on this appearance.
This made me laugh so much, Jimmy Hill is funny as fuck. He's going off on a tangent but doesn't realise it, yet he gives a bit of banter back too. Classic stuff!
The Alan Ball game lives strong in teams like Derby, PNE and Bolton. Aaah, remember the ginger one for his playing days.. with love, a MCFC fan Also, why is Jimmy Hill on TV when I've never heard a good word about him. He's not even thorough.
For all of you moaning about FF not seeming as funny as you remembered it (nothing ever is really), I never found Baddiel funny but compared to Fatty Corden, he was a comic genius.

I love Jimmy Hill. True old school classic!
No, well done Sparced! Being trapped in a lift with Jim Davidson is a nightmare of the first order.

Are Jimmy and Bruce Forsyth descended from the same milkman?
"In my view, Grobbelaar is an honest man. He wouldn't wanna cheat, Bruce Grobbelaar, he's a man."

Superb. Hill - star quality.
i love how he wears a suit on the most laid-back, shambolic (in a good way) show on telly
That was ex-TV presenter Dani Behr, one-time girlfriend of Ryan Giggs.
I wish we had more people like Jimmy being pundits now
