All the metallic basses are made in Serum :] the bulk of the sound is made in serum itself, and i have a bit of post processing to really thickening it up. :] theres a number of ways i use to make them metallic but one example would be using the delay with extremely short delay settings, hope this helped man!
This is a pretty damn epic song, with a hard drop, and a simply gorgeous sound design. You know the drill: I just love me them industrial and robotic noises, and this beauty is just full of 'em. I am a really big fan of the way this song starts, that intro just has some authority to it that kills, and I found myself drawn in before the beats really even got going. Then in built up with a flowing drum and piano section, and followed up with a brutal drop that I immediately fell in love with. The guttural robotic sounds complimenting that pitched sound (reminds me of wave-boards, or whatever they're called) constantly playing in the background are just beautiful. This song has so much power, so much assurance in itself, but there's still this lingering feeling of something deeper, something. . . more hiding within the flow. I have very thoroughly enjoyed this song, though it's Xenos, no surprise that it'd be great. On a slightly less praise-y note, sorry about missing some of you're streams, my sleep schedule was totally ruined by one late night, and I've been a wreck ever since. Doesn't help that work has ground to a halt, and I'm sitting here doing absolutely nothing all day.
Ohhh those Cruel Reaction vibes. Thank you Xenos for helping bring this style back. Also the intro is oddly soothing, it reminds me of portal 2 (one of my favorite games) and crysis 3 a bit (yes I liked crysis 3).
I could see this fitting a exploration type role hence the name pathfinder. Music is never explored too much in mass effect but who's to say what a young pathfinder does or doesn't listen to eh?
