You could tell when they dished it up on to their plates how dry it was. There should be a lot of moisture in a decent lasagne. If you’re in Europe you’ll have a creamy Bechamel sauce on top. @@reporterid Not really true. Olives aren’t even grown in India for the most part (cultivating is picking up very recently). Olives were initially popularized by the pizza chains to provide an air of “Italian” authenticity to their dishes. Unfortunately, these same chains are the ones that make all other faux Italian dishes - Pastas, Lasagna, the weird Mac and Cheese from before. I also wish that they would have explained to Chaudhury and the others that the thing theyre referring to as 'roti' (chupatti/bread) in the lasagna is actually pasta.
@@FierceIntellect ive noticed it in another video too, but I didnt mention anything there. When I saw it again, I had to explain what they were translating incorrectly because I know a lot of non-pakistani people watch these videos. I do understand however that sometimes certain words have broader meanings or are harder to translate to another language.
I think there is a translation issue with the word "gravy." I've noticed it in a few videos. Gravy is a thick liquid sauce made from the stock of cooked meat. It could be beef, turkey, chicken, pork, etc.

I love olives in Italian food but lasagna doesn't need it.
Loved their reaction ❣️ simple people no attitude ❣️❣️❣️❣️

“It is like a dead body from the grave” I will never look at lasagna the same. edit: where the mustache did you guys come from?

🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
Lmao!!
🤣🤣😂😂
Hahahaha
Mr. Chaudary jumped into one of life's great arguments w/out even knowing it. Said it's definitely GRAVY! 🤩
I’m still not over Donkey Donuts and here comes ‘ it is like a dead body from the grave’🤦🏻♀️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👌🏻
Olives on lasagna?! Must be a “family recipe”
🤣👏I'm Latino n we always use green pitted olives in our lasagna,I love the unique difference in taste..but my wife is white n it disgust her🤣so I eat lasagna w no olives now🤷♂️
@royalcrowify I agree but just like taco bell calls itself Mexican food🤣no one holds the right to eating! We all got dif twist to food n taste I guess
@royalcrowify The Italian invention was so good it should be shared even if it has to be adjusted to various culture's tastes. I make mine with a pumpkin sauce and sub in marjoram for oregano since I have problems with oregano, but it still tastes good.
@@MariOlsdatter1919 pumpkins and marjoram? Each to their own 😃
@@andrescrux Yeah but if you're going to have a channel where people try things from other cultures, those things should be pretty close to authentic. I think that was Mackey's point.
This channel warms my heart, thank you!
The translation is really bad in this video. He's not calling it gravy. He's using the word "salan" which means the soupy part of the curry. He's basically saying the lasagne is droopy like curry.
The dish is bad as well.
Ahhh that makes more sense, right I was like dude where you getting gravy from.....Right yes soupy is pretty spot on and droopy.
Either way, it seems a weird description. That's the dryest lasagna I've ever seen.
Thanks for Clarifying - also looks like a lot of them are eating it cold or at least not hot :(
This had me confused also as Lasagne should be nothing like Gravy! Thank you for clarifying this. 😁
So glad you did Lasagna. It is one of my favorite foods.

Your channel is wonderful and they are all close to the heart and their faces indicate their kindness.. they deserve support.. I hope you can put an Arabic translation
Rana is a regular comedian: fine Italian food...its like taking a body out of the grave...😆💗😆💗
Yeah! What a giggle I had XD
I don't think they even eaten a real Lasagna...
That one got me so hard lol
Does it look fine to you? No italian would eat that disgusting thing
Rana's table etiquette is better than an English man's table etiquette!!.. The way he holds the spoon and fork!!💥💥
Rana means royal.
Rana is very polite.
Are you English?
Rana has a great attitude, while Sheer Khan is macking up a storm!
He really isn't.
The man with the white head cover and rings has a wonderful personality!
He seems like he would make a great diplomat. Friendly yet stern.
Stern yet fair and of good humor.
The "we eat woods and stones" is priceless. Also, no olives on lasagna -- nope nope nope.
You could not pay me to eat lasagna in a white flowing scarf. That is true courage.
And it remained spotless.
I love when they say 'Bismillah'
Eyvallah
Me too. It always reminds me of "Bohemian Rapsody" from Queen. I don't know if they've been shown that song video. If not they should....Amazing song!!!
"Oh , what a taste " 🤣, you did that impression perfectly .
Gravy on a spoon..... These guys are the best. Is it just me but I so want to meet these gentlemen and give them a hug and thank them for their pureness. Coming from a middle aged UK dad. Please stay safe.
Perfekt said! They are sooo pure and adoreable.....all of them.
So grad I found their videos
I do not know how I stumbled on to your channel... but it's fasanting and entertaining .. Really glad I did.!
"Is it male or female?" First thing I will be asking from now on. 😂😂
Given the 'current social climate', asking such a thing could end up ruining your meal.

Aww, it is so easy to please Gul Sher Khan! He really enjoys everything he tries. They are all so adorable! 💕
I love this channel so much and I thank you for sharing!! 😀
It's okay guys, everyone in the world has a tough time scooping out lasagna 😆 "like digging a dead body from a grave"...thank you for making me laugh
If you’re having a hard time scooping a lasagne then you’ve made a bad lasagne
I really like your commentary! I laughed so hard when you ate cheesecake. Split a rib!
Now that’s good food! Didn’t need the olives though....
Totally re: olives. We really need Eva from Pasta Grammar to react to this.
@@pablodelsegundo9502 I'm sure she will have her own variations which will surprise us. As for the olives, I love olives. And I'm Italian. Going to try a lasagne with them. I also make with meatballs, or eggplant or even spinach.
Gul Sher's giggle is just the best.
This video is gold! I am crying😂😂 lamb eyes? Weird salty gravy. Oh man. I love the honesty.
RANA is hilarious. The grave remark and eating like a rich person now!
True! 😁😁😁
I love seeing how apprehensive Chaudhary is. He approaches it as if it is a poisonous snake!
last shot he said "ohh what a taste " hahahah nailed it. I love your video keep making such more video, we really love watching them out. Truly pure and honestly review . Some time let them try some cheese cake too want to see there reaction on cheese cake.
I almost exploded when Rana said "oh, what a taste" hahah did he actually said that?
I also love how gul sher loves almost every dish and Rana has the most hard to please!
"Like taking a dead body out of a grave" i died.. 😂
Love the rings Gul Sher Khan is wearing especially the Red one . Anyone know what stone that is ?
"They put it on naan, it's a pizza. They put it in a tray and it's called lasagna." This is true, I've never thought of it like that. 😅
@@shynobody3191 WHY DO YOU KEEP YELLING IN TEXT???
Me neither.
They didnt eat real pizza and real lasagna,so they cannot describe them right
Lasanga is basically pizza casserole
@@zoluhwa3508 no man, totally different processes 😅
Someone needs to confiscate the cook's olives, they put them on everything! Rana looks super young in this outfit, with the hoodie and his new teeth and everything. I share his suspicion of that lasagna though, even putting the olive issue aside it looks weird. Not enough layers.
I read from the comment of someone working in the food industry in India or Pakistan (can't remember) that they love olives there and that's why they put them everywhere. It was in another video, not this one, but it explains a lot.
@@reporterid Not really true. Olives aren’t even grown in India for the most part (cultivating is picking up very recently). It’s mostly because it’s seen as something exotic and tastes different from most other veggies available locally. Olives were initially popularized by the pizza chains to provide an air of “Italian” authenticity to their dishes. Unfortunately, these same chains are the ones that make all other faux Italian dishes - Pastas, Lasagna, the weird Mac and Cheese from before. It’s the general lack of penetration of true Italian food outside of the big cities.
@@magic_claw I read someone else write basically what you did so I don't know what that comment I read was about. Maybe it's something specific to big cities and to the idea that it's an exotic food that some people want to eat and they put it even in recipes that don't need it, I don't know.
Lasagna is basically pasta, but instead of noodles it's sheets but bot are made of flour. You put the same things in pasta and lasagna: mince meat, vegetables, cheese, and tomato sauce. It's so delicious! It's my favorite food!
I love these people and their love for God, gratefulness, honesty and poetical way of description. Thank you for introducing them to us.
"I'm eating like a rich person now!" he's so silly he makes me laugh.
guy with the rings and the white headwear is by far my favorite... so respectful and funny and down to earth id hang out with him lol
Yes! I was waiting for this. I wonder what they would think of Cannolis or Tiramisu.
I will say I've never had it with olives. Only plain or with meat.
I love olives with anything, I have black olives in when I make it, but I’m from the south in the USA so of course it’s just a spin on it
@@otda3675 I think the olives may have been why they thought it was salty. I'm sure it's delicious but personally I would need a good thick layer of ricotta cheese in there to balance out the extra salt from the olives.
@@otda3675 They have green olives in it too though. That must be very weird tasting!
" oooh what a taste" lol, now that will never get old lol
I love these videos because I learn fun little things about my home country Pakistan, which I don't know much about because I have lived in America my whole life.
why wasn't this prepared and served the way lasagna is prepared and served?
I genuinely laughed out loud when Rana did his impression of a rich person eating "OOh, what a taste!" I am dying!!! Also I feel like the guys are coming for Dr Tahir's gig by talking about Mr Lasagna and the health benefits of eating with your fingers. Hope the dr's mother gets well and he returns to us soon!!!
It looks so good with olives on it.. I wish I could try some!
That lasagne looked revolting - dry and overcooked.
Yeah, I feel sorry for them that their first taste of this dish is a dry one! So sad!!
'when a food is rotten it tastes like this"
That was so funny! 🤣🤣🤣
Lol-est 🤣
I love these guy's so polite innocent and respectful .enjoy .
I am having lasagne today! What a coincidence.
So are we.
Me too
They keep translating Chaudhurys comment as 'gravy' when in actuality the thing he is talking about are the curries that they eat. Hes saying it tastes like the curries they make, hence why he's asking if they can eat a 'roti' (Chupatti) with it.
I also wish that they would have explained to Chaudhury and the others that the thing theyre referring to as 'roti' (chupatti/bread) in the lasagna is actually pasta.
I’m glad you explained this because I was so confused why his caption said gravy. 🤷🏾♀️
It could be beef, turkey, chicken, pork, etc.
oh god, olives on top of lasagne?!?!? people from Italy won't be so happy if I tell them what I've seen
When a food is rotten it tastes like this
Lol I nearly died
Sam Peeps, that’s what got me too! 😂😂
😂😂😂😂
I have never seen anyone so uptight and unthankful as Chaudhary's brother. This food would have been better given to the needy instead of ungrateful people like him.
My parents are straight from Italy. My mother never made it like this. If she saw this dish, she would probably hit you with her slipper.
Yes, but I'm pretty sure Italians feel the same way when other Italians are making the dish differently. Which I'm sure happens.
@@MonokelJohn No, they just cook different versions, not so ridiculous and unappetizing
"Oooooo, what a taste...!!" Too much cuteness... 😍
Just looking at it of course but it looked very good. The best part is the chewy crispy chessey top with bits of olive and onion. Yum.
I get the saltiness but the gravy feeling is new to me.
I'd really enjoy watching u guys show us of ur local culture. I buy Naan from a local store often, how would eat it? What would u eat it with?
I just love them watching their reactions. They are so honest. And their facial expressions say it all🥰
This isnt Lasagne.... I can hear my Italian grandma crying in the coffin
I think I hear her too.
I just hear a bunch of cuss words in italian.
I think they used like bread dough instead of noodles lol
one of the comment was "its like digging a body out of a grave" lmao
bless you brothers and sister from the uk . great people xx
“The world eats gravy with a spoon?”
I never get tired of watching them try food from other countries so enthusiastically. Most people don't like to be adventurous when it comes to food. Bon appétit!
My friend Genesio Grasso his mom Maria both RIP. They were from a town near Naples. She would put hard boiled eggs in her lasagna. Not many a few here and there. Was very good. Home made bread gnocchi sausage. Sauce from tomatoes she grew. Raised rabbits to eat. Made wine every year. Etc... etc... Italy in America at their house.
All of these gentlemen are amazing people. Thank You for giving them this amazing experience, and thanks to your guests for being honest, amazing, men. *salutes*
