Detailed discussion on Bio-mechanics of ligaments, joint capsule and the muscles of Temporomandibular Joint. The muscles of TMJ are also called muscles of mastication and there are two groups of such muscles, namely PRIMARY MUSCLES which include TEMPORALIS, MASSETER, LATERAL & MEDIAL PTERIGYOID and secondary muscles which include SUPRAHYOID AND INFRAHYOID MUSCLES.
