Most people only praise what Clapton did in his youth. But what he achieved in the 90's and early 00's it's incredible. Some of his live performances in those years are mind blowing, so much emotion, so much feel, every note (and pauses in between) it's absolute perfection.

At that time he was playing with a Greg Phillinganes I guess.
It might be Greg but it sounds more like Chuck Leavell. And the timeline matches to the unplugged recording as well which Greg never played on
