man, this was a really cool and weird match. Sometimes their minds failed and they entered through there and then they activated beast mode and began to corner the other. Gobou as always with exceptional handling of Asuka and this very surprising Jack-O' with the handling of the servants

Gobou won ArcRevo Japan using Asuka; and recently entered a team tournament and beat Rozu (Ky), Tsuchiya (Millia), and Mocchi (Sol) using Asuka. Gobou is just too good of a player, and controls this character too well.

@denboix7524 Asuka is still a strong character post nerfs, but he is not the best character in the game according to Gobou, Nage, RoySol, Churara, Daru_I-No, Mocchi, SQ, and TempestNYC; those are arguably both Asia's and NA's strongest players. I will agree with you that the character is not easy to pick up and play, though. Moreover, I think it's also worth mentioning that only Gobou has won any major tournaments with Asuka - and if everyone thought that Asuka was the best character in the game, he would be more popular like Chaos - who, despite being the 2nd-3rd hardest character in the game, you would almost always find 2 or more of that character in a Asia/NA/EU top 8 tournament bracket for GGST - online or offline - this was before the latest patch of nerfs for HC, though. Post nerfs, Chaos is still represented in more tournaments than Asuka.

asuka is far from the hardest character though, its all just resource management and quick adaptation
I know there are other amazing Asuka out there, but Gobou's is just so insane and entertaining. I have no idea how he reacts to his own spell draws and combos with them so easily.
recently, he has started practicing to guess the last 10 spell cards in a deck, as a way to take his asuka to the next level

If you have terrible neutral and execution then yes he is.
100% he is
He is just very hard to learn.
I wouldn´t say "Choose to lose" is the right word for him, more like "Professionals only"
Asuka has way too much good shit in his kit and can grant you wins incredibly easy, Gobou is a perfect example of how crazy this character can be at his full potential, but it requires a lot of skill and resource managment knowledge to make them work, especially because of how hard he gets punished if his mana bar gets to 0.
