That would be huge cause honestly it's ridiculous we don't have him in the building we have to few legends and yet somehow we still are utilizing our limited relationships
I'd like to see coaches that once played for the Jaguars come in; They remember the days of Coughlin and JDR, the pride, discipline, and history of the team. I think that would benefit in rebuilding our identity. Also, for the younger fans not remembering the early days, there were years with Brunell, Smith, and McCardell where passing offense was our identity. Maybe someone like Mark Brunell coming in as an OC
All these candidates are good- Brian Flores wouldn’t shock me if we can’t get lions OC- Can any of you guys break down what pick we will be by estimating Jacksonville losing to the colts and other results that will happen. I’m thinking Philly is benching everyone giants might win again… not sure what other bottom teams will win based on the other team resting all starters- would be a good video to predict what will happen
Ben Johnson is certainly a brilliant OC but that doesn't mean he would be a good HC. Only about 50% of coordinators workout at HC. Establishing the proper culture is most important. I would choose someone like Mike Vrabel or another no-nonsense alpha personality.
I agree that these flavor of the year OC's frequently DON'T pan out. I think Ben Johnson WILL be a good HC...BUT..MOST of the time these "hot" coordinators have REALLY GOOD PLAYERS on their side of the ball. I STILL remember how everyone thought Adam Gase was so great...well he had Peyton Manning as his qb in Denver...give me a break!
Rams were 5-12 with Liam Coen as OC....so if we are all excited about his 1 season as OC with Tampa - we need to look at his 1 season as OC wit Rams...and in between he was at Kentucky in College...so he would not be my pick ahead of some of the others. I think my order would be : 1) Ben Johnson 2) Vrabel 3) Flores and make sure I got 1 of them...Johnson 1st because we gotta fix/improve Trevor...Vrabel for toughness and experience...Flores for the same..
I would not mind Vrabel or Flores w/ a good OC. Those guys make teams tough. Only thing about Flores for me is the relationship w/ Trevor just like Jordan said. He has to optimize Trevor, anything else is a no-go
I 100% do NOT want the OC from Tampa Liam Coen...I think dude is NOT experienced enough yet...I think he would be a mistake...and I would not get all excited about his 1 year as OC with a Baker Mayfield playing great...
Imo defensive head coaches are just the wrong idea period. Having a qb have to learn new offenses every 2-3 years cuz they keep getting poached is just a recipe for disaster
Happy New year and hell no to Vrable! After him being on the Titans he can never come here 😂 ijs 🤷🏾! I like Flores and Ben Johnson and whom ever we hire had to go get Robert Salah to be our DC
@ he’s locked bc the contract… he’s not a top 10 qb with 80 turnovers - most in nfl history for starting qb first 4 years…. yeah keep lying to yourself
One pretty cool idea is of Ben Johnson comes here he could could also bring mark brunell (lions qb coach) with him and make him the oc.
That would be huge cause honestly it's ridiculous we don't have him in the building we have to few legends and yet somehow we still are utilizing our limited relationships
Nice
Talk about an epic slide. Been a Jags fan since day one and we need more than ever to get this coach pick correct.
couldn't agree more...tbh whenever Tom Coughlin was not in the building in some capacity this franchise has not been successful at all!

Idk, something about Aaron Glenn resonates with me. Dude seems fiery and tough.
Perfect scenario Ben Johnson brings in a GM of his choosing and Eric Bieniemy as OC and Flores as DC
We not getting Flores
@@SuperMurray2009if not get the Lions DC
@@itsjunior2726 Very unlikely to get him either

I think (and hope) that those reports linking Ben Johnson to the Jags turn out to be true!
lions has more talented players than jags because they drafted better…i think a gm change is more needed
so true

Ben Johnson and Joe Brady are my only two candidates. We gotta get one of these two.
Doug Peedtoosoon is the current head coach and will be the head coach for the twenty twenty five season..
You're welcome, and thank you in advance. 😊

Coen is a nobody and shouldn’t even be entertained.
That rams to was missing Stafford and Kupp that year to injuries, he was not the reason they went 5-12 lol
@@Jayhavnnyt Never said he was the reason...but I would not hire him as a HC yet..too soon in my opinion

What about kliff kingsbury
NGL id be pretty happy with Mike V
The oc for the commanders
Flores made the Vikings terrible defense to probably the best. But ranking him at 6 is appropriate.
I think Aaron Glenn is overrated. Rather have Flores all things considered. Lions defense doesn’t run any exotic looks or concepts.
We not going to get rid of Doug watch
I think he’s gone if the Jags lose that last game against the Colts
Titans fan (live in FL) coming in peace. Please don’t hire Vrabel. He will make it personal every time we played you guys. 😅
What good happy new year

Happy new year
This is all good for the Jags provided that GM Trent is no longer there in Jacksonville…
Khan finna hire Dabo Swinney to bring that Trevor & ETN magic in the NFL.
hell nah
please stop calling trevor a franchise qb.. he’s had one decent year
enough of this made up story
trevor is not that great. period
Top 10 numbers in both 2022/2023 and was trending in the same direction in 2024 before injury. Not elite, but Trevor is surely their QB1 lock.

@@bortlestheboatI don't trust your QB evaluations, considering Bortles was trash.
@@CoolWeather28 yes he was. lol
People say he's great with Daniel Jones stats!
