Can we just stop to appreciate how great Malcolm is. Dude can play literally everything and anything. A true master at this point.
I warm up using the James Stamp routine and have done so for well over a decade. I create it for whatever ability I have to play well consistently. Malcolm is perhaps the most spot on in terms of his understanding of how to approach all that stuff. Michael Sachs and Hakan Hardenberger are also great examples of how it really should be done. Every note is important and every piece is played literally from one note to the other.
They all play with grace and beauty like a great violin player. Doc Severinsen was also a student of James Stamp for a while which very few people know and he always said that he aspired to play like a great singer or violin master.
