One thing I like about Spiritbox is that they usually use harsh vocals when it makes sense in the context of the lyrics. They don't scream for the sake of screaming. Some songs have no screaming at all. Others are all screaming. Most are somewhere in the middle like this one. They just use harsh vocals as another brush for the canvas.
I literally used to be like you about screaming but now i like it. Theres still times where it dont sound good but its because of other factors but the scream itself
I think Courtney would take the Katy Perry comparison as a compliment 😂 she's a huge fan of all music. Spiritbox actually did a collab with Megan Thee Stallion not too long ago.
It's difficult to recommend the perfect Spiritbox song to react to because they are so very diverse in their sounds over the years. Early Spiritbox is more progressive. Middle Spiritbox is more experimental and kind of all over the place. Newer Spiritbox leans more into the very heavy or the very melodic. The song that sums them up the best seems to be Jaded, a recent one and the song that got nominated for a Grammy (and should have won). It is like Circle With Me with cleans and screams mixed throughout but also more refined soundwise than Circle With Me.
Careful! after years... decades hating growl vocalists, Courtney turned me into a fan with her style. They fit into the song, not the other way around. Love the blends especially. Rule of Nines one-take video is dope. If you only want to hear clean vocals, Constance is the one. A tear-jerker.
LETS GO react to ONE OK ROCK , band from japan. same like babymetal, they dope at live version vidio.. here dope song of One Ok Rock - We are - Renegades - Clock strike
Spiritbox writes in any genre they please so while Circle With Me is a great song, it only sounds somewhat like some other Spiritbox song. For the most part, they like to lean into their influences and many of those are in the pop, R&B, hip-hop, folk rock realm, and also metal. And while this is a good song as-is, the superior version is when they perform this live because the ending is way better.
She has very pronounced pop style, so trust me, nobody is getting remotely upset to compare her with Katy Perry, because this is essentially what she does in half of her songs, and it's not accidental. If you removed the screams and put a pop backing track on it, she would sound like a pop singer like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, etc. Metal is a outrageously robust genre. If there is any other genre out there, you can bet that a metal band has incorporated these styles in their music.
Bro … if you want the best of spiritbox I would check out their song “Blessed Be” or go ahead and lose y’all’s “Jinjer -Pisces”virginity ~it’ll get your view count up
You need to watch the one take version. She does some amazing things with her voice in that one.
Yeah, if you watch that, it's gonna change your opinion about "screaming vocals"...
I think what helps with people who don't like screaming as much is that Courtney can scream on pitch, she is singing even when she is screaming.

I too like it when screaming is contextual, This song did a great job with it! I'm looking forward to hearing more from this band 😀
Suggestions for your next Spiritbox : "Blessed Be", "Rules of Nines", "Rotoscope", "Jaded", "Hurt you",
Great reaction guys again amazing band but do the one take version she is insanely impressive

But I recommend Eternal Blue or Ultraviolet if you want a good Spiritbox song that is solely clean vocals!
You should try their song Ultraviolet next.
Will do! Thank you for the comment! 😀
Perennial is Melody wise for me the most beautiful song of spirit box. And it has such a beautiful climax
I'll add it to our list. Thank you for the comment 😀

If you don't like scream, never listen to Silk in The Strings or Holy Roller
