I'm from New Zealand ! , the Moon fish is caught though out the pacific including us in nz , and is caught via tuna long liners , as BUY catch , and im sure 90% of the moon fish that was caught in NZ was flown directly to Japan for sale ! , .. lol i KNOW this as i had family members in the long line tuna fisheries Owning Boats / Ship's / vessels etc , also the picture you had of a moon fish was a tad small they honestly get to twice that size or more , all the best :p
