I'm glad to see four drip lines per bed. 29 years ago my first tomato crop was pretty poor and it took me a couple years to realize one tape just didn't wet the entire root zone, especially if you need to feed through the drip. I love watching your videos, never too old to learn something new.
One day I'll do the online course. In the mean time I love the UA-cam snipits
glad you're enjoying it !! 😁
Hello from Australia to you JM and all your happy team - thanks for your inspirational teachings - you are my Market Garden Guru !

Fantastic video!

JM, how do you pollinate these tomatoes in the caterpillar tunnels?
hi JM, thanks for the insight and all the works you share.
Do you also graft field tomatoes like the green house ones?
Thanks Mwila! Our field tomatoes are not grafted
Hey Jean,
I have a question regarding what you mixed in front load at 1:30. Did you use landscape fabric on fields to grow Tomato to control the weeds.
Hey JM, do you grow indeterminate or determinate tomatoes for field tomatoes? Thanks -Joe
mostly indeterminate!
hi are they determinate or indeterminate? thanks
Do you pull your fruit from the vine at blushing stage like you would with greenhouse tomatoes; or do you let them ripen on the vine, in regards to field tomatoes?
You can pick them blushing you'll just have to wait to sell them when ripe shouldn't affect the flavor as long as have a little color when you pick them
@@blakemyers5974 agreed. I'm just wondering what they do, specifically
@@KorvidRavenscraft nobody will every tell you because they like to give the impression that they pick the dead ripe but nobody does
we harvest them ripe!
What where did you get those caterpillar tunnels?
I'd think you go with determinates in the field, yes?
most of our varieties are indeterminate!
Thank you. What fertilizers do you use?
mostly pelleted chicken manure, alfalfa meal, potassium sulfate, and sul-po-mag... and of course compost!
@@TheMarketGardeners Thank you!
There is a destinct smell from growing tomatoes.
I have heard of topping from different plants. Did not know tomatoes can benefit us better with that
