Hahaha first time mom here 🙋🏽♀️ currently up at 2am cuz my child isn’t sleeping. This was oddly validating but scary accurate 😂😂😂 love how we all have the same problems regardless of what country we are in.
A friend stated “the baby will have to conform to our lifestyle, not the other way around! We will keep doing everything we do and the baby will just have to adapt..” Guess how long that lasted?😂😂😂
How do these actually keep getting better 😂😂😂 so many of those things are insanely accurate! You should do a second/third/fourth time parent to show the difference 😂
I used to read my son Wilbur Smith books to get him to go to sleep as even the most stubborn child can't out last a 900 page novel where you can describe a lioness tearing it's prey apart in baby talk, works every time.
@bjw4859 (8 mo later.) Assuming you're a Dad, that's such a Dad move! Your son got your presence, attention and being read to (language sounds) and you kept up with your airport novels! 👏 I've heard about Dads reading car manuals, fishing magazines, and Excel for Dummies to their young offspring.
I'm watching you on Taskmaster Australia at this very moment Jimmy! It's one of my favourite UK shows, I'm sooo glad you've joined the Aussie crew on our very first season! 😊😊👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I went to Uni at 60 and one assignment was to write an article on quantity ... I chose the quantity of 'things' I did and bought for my 5 children !!!!!!! OMG
Hi Jimmy Reed, can you do POV you have a crush from both a girls and boys point of view? I think that would be pretty entertaining to see! Love your vids!
Not just cereal, also Campbell's soup and Darrell lea licorice as well. And I think tin fruit of tin tomatoes, right behind his right shoulder, but our left side.but I don't know what's in the big green tins right behind him.
I'm still thinking fruit tins, because I don't think Jimmy would put tomatoes tins next to tomato soup tins, those green tins are either powered milk or original Milo tins.
@@hellagood67 I think you're right they are spam tins, just watch a few others of POV AND IN THE BILLIONAIRE 1 THOSE SPAM TINS ARE ON THE OTHERSIDE of him.
I’m not a mum, but I sent this to my four times a mumma sister lol, coz I relate to this ridiculously amounts even having not been a mother. This is amazing, hahah, cheers 🤣
I feel the need to point out that the add I got before this video was Jimmy talking about a bed. Thought UA-cam hade broken for a moment and thought the video was an add. 😅
Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, you are hysterical! I just love you mate an I am about to seek out all your youtube video's. I am a fan on FB, but I don't go on there much now, but was delighted when you showed up here. You put a big smile on my face and a lot of laughs! Thanks man, laughter is good medicine!
We need the follow up of 3rd or 4th kid or more and how the overly done first timer has turned into, "i think i have all of them, yeah shell be right" parent lol
OMG so true 😂 my husband would TELL ME I'm supposed to be sleeping when the baby is.....I said when? While I'm finalising the house that is almost finished being built. Or after 2 weeks from my caeser and then having to pick colours, taps, tiles and shopping. Or packing up a house and making so many phone calls during the day to get everything done. As well as feeding a new born. Again......not all new mums have time unless they are supported.
you forgot the part where your child is sleeping but you are wide awake because you have anxiety about the baby waking up and your ears are not tuned in to every little sound.
You forgot crying in the shower, and getting hooked on obscure soap operas playing on tv at 530am. Also, not having good coffee because caffeine is transferred through breast milk
Fook me! Thankfully my child was born before mothers group,, play group or any groups really, or car seats or google. The closest we got was the monthly weigh in with the 'blue book'. Do they still have a blue book?
Salesman (person, they, them) “ this baby (the pram) folds up in 1.8 seconds, it’s the Tesla of prams. Comes in gender neutral colors (only 2) and there’s a 3 month warranty on it *slaps the top of the pram
Quick tip about not overpacking that dipar bag. If there's other baby's where you're going just skip the nappy's all together. Diapers are like gum if you smell bad enough someone will offer to share.
and then you go and have another one! Oh gosh! can't breath! My youngest brother was what they used to call hyperactive so I helped care for him. Normal babies aren't a problem unless you are an obsessed know it all modern parent.
I feel sorry for all those parents who are tied down to your children for 18teen bloody years, you can't go anywhere without your child going, mum can I have this ,because all my friends have 1🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What's it like to have a GP for your kids? We don't have that 'luxury' in Canada anymore. My son is almost 8 and has never had a doctor in spite of having a visible growth on his spine we'd sure like to investigate.
@@suekennedy1595 Because there's a severe doctor shortage in Canada that has been getting worse for a long time. Immunization is taken care of through the local health board but I have to be the one to figure out when to take him in. Infections and broken bones go to a walk in clinic IF you can get an appointment, to emergency at the hospital if it's either more serious or you can't get an appointment. Thankfully he's only been badly sick twice and injured once. The illnesses I managed to get appointments at a clinic for and both times he had bronchitis, but when he was three he burnt his hand on the stove and they didn't even treat him at the hospital. We waited from early afternoon until well past midnight to finally be told me to go home and bandage it myself and give him Tylenol - meanwhile he'd sat there that whole time with no treatment whatsoever - a THREE YEAR OLD CHILD. And it was bad enough he had blisters bursting on it. His spine needs a specialist but walk in and emergency doctors don't do referrals so here we are this many years out just 'keeping an eye on it,' as we've been instructed. Keep an eye on it for what, cause they'll do anything about it if something changes?? Doubtful. Provided we're even lucky enough as non-medical-professionals to even know it's changing in a way that requires treatment. Don't even get me started on the lack of care I've received under dire circumstances, I could fill a book! I'm permanently disabled from my lack of care - almost entirely from things that would have been treatable.
I'm about to be the most hated commenter on this video, I had none of that, my daughter slept through the night before 1 month, my partner was so hands on I had to tell him to back off and I had dummies straight away as I remembered my little sister's thumb sucking issue when she was little, it cost my parents $4k in dental work. Unfortunately, now my daughter is older (and in VCE) she won't sleep through the night, be vigilant about the no screen time because if you don't it only gets worse
"A baby will never change my life!" hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
"The baby will adjust to my life and my schedule not the other way round" 🤣🤣
Hahahahaha!😄😅😆😂

Kids will kids, I have 4
A friend stated “the baby will have to conform to our lifestyle, not the other way around! We will keep doing everything we do and the baby will just have to adapt..” Guess how long that lasted?😂😂😂
Less time that it took them to say it? 😂
Hahahahahaha I always internally laugh my head off at future parents that say that.
My wife has said that. Wonder how long it'll last
How do these actually keep getting better 😂😂😂 so many of those things are insanely accurate! You should do a second/third/fourth time parent to show the difference 😂
Then they grow up and forget you knew anything at all. 😂😂😂
A roller coaster ride without a seatbelt!🥴🤪😳😂😂😂
(that’s what I was told)
I used to read my son Wilbur Smith books to get him to go to sleep as even the most stubborn child can't out last a 900 page novel where you can describe a lioness tearing it's prey apart in baby talk, works every time.
This is genius! 😂
Great parenting advice! 😂
But… thinking back as a mum to a young child I would have fallen asleep at the drop of a hat myself. 🤣🤣🤣
Both my boys are 20 and 22 and they are the best thing to ever happen to me. I laughed all the way through this you are very clever and spot on.
Don't think I ever woke up my babies to feed them. I was just so happy they were sleeping! 😄
This hurts with how accurate you are. Currently on my second one 😫
“my coffee’s warm … yours isn’t” - harsh but so very true

Boy did this bring back accurate memories 😂😂😂
I don't remember laughing so hard with a video before! Today we actually told my mother-in-law that babies don't sleep on their tummy anymore.
When the last words to your partner at night are "good luck"

no beers beers beers beers so i've been told 🤣👍🍻
Me snoring whilst a midnight feed took place was the best part of being a 1st time parent.
I LOVE the cereal range in the background

My kids are 23,24,25 now, and I remember those days!🤦♀️.
Oh my days I love this ❤️🤣
🤣🤣🤣 1st time parent here, and he's almost 2 years old....this is so accurate!
Have you been spying on me? I had twins at 40. They're 24 now. Doesn't get any easier.
Brilliant!! Please do POV for boomer grandparents 😄
Sounded like the active wear didn’t scan properly 😅
Good luck with the Star Wars fan 🤩
“Have I pooped today” “just trying to take one good photo but end up taking 400 and their not even smiling” hahaha! 😂 😆 I can’t!
Haven’t seen a POV for a while - so funny and so true.
Checking every 5 minutes to see if the baby is still breathing
Hahaha none of my boys had a dummy.
That was funny!!! 😂 As a 1990's parent, I didn't do much of that. My daughter survived regardless ❤.
The ad that come up before this video was about beds and it was from Jimmy lol.
Waking at 3am and realising you are singing some Hi5 song in your head….
I’m not a mum, but I sent this to my four times a mumma sister lol, coz I relate to this ridiculously amounts even having not been a mother. This is amazing, hahah, cheers 🤣
Omg so relatable 🤣
😂 Remembering when my 4 babies were "newborns" from being known as a "1st time parent"-where the journey all began 😅
6:08 …tread lightly…
They should show this in antenatal classes
I feel the need to point out that the add I got before this video was Jimmy talking about a bed. Thought UA-cam hade broken for a moment and thought the video was an add. 😅
When the grandparents/ aunt's/ uncles, etc all try to offer advice from their generation, only to be told that the first-time parents are better !
Love your new shop. Cool! You can hide in there when the kids carry on and sell them from there when they are teenagers.
I saw an ad with u in it before watching this😂😂😂
I was a lazy first time parent 😅 if he woke I fed him, if he cried I fed him, if it was feed time I fed him
No routine at all
I was also a non-routine parent and demand fed. Whatever you need to do to get through those first few months. DO IT!!!
Haha sounds exactly like me! Also read no books on parenting but I did spend plenty of time feeding & watching Gilmore Girls on the sofa😂
10/10 Jimmy 😂
We need the follow up of 3rd or 4th kid or more and how the overly done first timer has turned into, "i think i have all of them, yeah shell be right" parent lol
First one in.
My cousins a first-time parent and some of these are exactly things she talks about.

Yes! 😄 - But how you ❤ them! 😍
My babies are 35 and 31….way too many memories resurfaced then 😂😂😂😂😂😂
So true!
Partner - The baby slept through last night! That’s good.
Me - (up eight times that night 😬)
First baby due next month, I feel exposed!
My baby wouldn't take a dummy....so much deep regret.
As a mom of 3 ranging from 29 to 16, this is hilarious.
We need one for us exotic pet owners, lol.
Damm those pressbuttons!!

what a #Champ!
Oh no just saw you're going to be on tv tonight, it's going to be a tough decision between The Task Master or MAFS.
So glad my turn was 38yrs ago 🤭
I think Jimmy should do a vid for second time parents.
It will be considerably shorter. 😂
It's been over 5 years since I had my child and I'm not even over with the video and I must say I agree with pretty much everything 🤣
DAD I’M HUNGWY!!!
Things that will disappear for a long time time, maybe years are sleep, sex , friends and free time, basically you become a zombie
When is that book being released?
Time for another baby ?❤😂😂😂
And I'm glad mother nature, didn't make me a mother, Just a Great Aunt by a niece, that's all,🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love

Wipes in the car, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, handbags and never finding one quickly. Have you got kids? Just wondering.
"Has he got kids?" hahaha He didn't learn all this from that book!
He does snd wrote a kids book too
