Love your channel, I'm really new to sound design so forgive me if this is a really nooby question, but i gave this a go with a cheap didgeridoo i happened to own, however i was struggling to pitch it to a key once i had recorded it 😅 i was wondering if you had any tips for pitching unusual sounds to key
Hey, your DAW should have a tuner you can use. Put that on the track and you’ll be able to find the pitch. It’s possible that what you’ve recorded is pitching up and down which might make it hard to detect the pitch. Another thing you can do is open a synth and use a basic waveform like a sine or saw and play a note on that while also triggering the didg channel. Then pitch the didg until it’s in tune with the synth.
dope sound
nice one
