1973 Schwinn Varsity Sport - Cups and Bottom Bracket

Tonight we began to put the 1973 Schwinn Varsity Sport back together. We removed the head tube and bottom bracket cups to paint the frame. Tonight we put the cups back on and put in the bottom bracket and attached the large chain ring and pie plate chain guard.

Yes. We spent a lot of time on painting the frame. It was our first attempt. We are leaving the fork painted black. A previous owner had painted the fork black. At least that is what we think. Do you know of any Schwinn bike that had a black fork from the factory?

@@VirtualBikeKitchen I think your guess is correct, it either got painted or replaced, if you can see the Schwinn brown primer under the black paint the it probably got replaced.
