She was indeed amazing in the movie, best portrayal for the character. I assumed she would be nominated for the supporting role but either way I’m so happy she got nominated. It’s shocking to see Leo getting snubbed, there were too many snubs and surprises at this year’s oscars. Definitely the Academy has been going down hill for the past 10 years or so. One day they will lose any credibility
There have been very little surprises this year, most people that do awards math/watching predicted about 90% of the nominations this year, if anything the awards could be considered lacking in surprises and less credible for hour predictable it was.
there were not "too many snubs" this year. Anyone cinephile following the awards circuit knew what most of these nominations were going to be. Leo was not snubbed, he didn't even campaign for himself

I love that her Mom is so prominent in her life. She made sure to kiss her mother's forehead in respect and gratitude when she won the Golden Globe and her Mom is set to be coming with her to the Oscars.
She will definitely win the best actress oscar for an incredible performance in Killers of the Flower Moon. History in the making. Native Lives Matter.

I recently saw the movie and it was amazing. Lily's performance was fantastic and I hope she wins.
Morning shows are always tough bc the time is so short it always feels like the anchors are just trying to rush their guest. also i really despise this need to hound actors on revealing their next project because actors can get in trouble for that sort of thing with the production. but really excited for lily and hoping her the best this coming oscar season!

Mad respect for Lily, and of course her contribution to an important piece of cinema. That said, Emma Stone's creative portrayal of Bella Baxter in Poor Things was on a whole other level, and should win her an Oscar and BAFTA to go with Critics Choice and Golden Globes.
I agree. But I wouldn't be mad if Lily wins. Either her or Emma winning would be amazing. But I know many will villainise Emma if she wins the Oscar because so many are supporting Lily.
Leo is the best actor working today but I agree with the academy when they didn't nominate him ... Wasnt expecting an oscar nod for this one

Snubbed doesn’t mean you’ve been nominated before so you shouldn’t be upset, snubbed means you did an extraordinary job and weren’t acknowledged.
As a fan of the Barbie movie, i honestly think they got the nominations right. I dont think margot’s performance was as good as Ryan’s but i do think she definitely deserves acknowledgement as a producer because just getting that movie made and having it be that successful is very impressive
@@frances1227 I agree. I liked the movie but wasn't blown away from what everyone was saying. Greta Lee was not nominated for her performance and same for Rosamund Pike. And they both got nominated for producing and writing respectively.
I don’t think DiCaprio cares, he didn’t campaign for Best Actor category, he only campaigned for Lily for Best Actress. He’s been beside her on much of the press tour & with her on the awards carpet, spotlighting her.
She was wonderful, I think well deserved nom. Wouldn’t be surprised if she won. Going against some Oscar darlings in her category like Stone, Mulligan, Benning.
I’m a huge Leo fan but personally don’t think he deserved a nom for this role, Lily was the star.

@davidlovesfilm not nominated=/= snubbed, every co-star will say that their scene partner should be nominated bc film is a collaborative process. the awards math also shows he wasnt snubbed, him missing was more guaranteed than not. very few ppl were surprised he wasnt nominated.
